monkey wrench in my plans. went for a normal prenatal visit today...and found out there was no heartbeat. sooo....lucky me gets to go to hospital tomorrow for a lovely procedure...and we leave on sunday.

Morning all. No way I will ever ketchup, so not even trying. You guys have been a chatty bunch, don't you all have some packing to do???? See there was a pirate run into the wee hours of the morning. Crazy people.

Prayers for you Shannon at the doctor today, hope everything turns out alright.

Anyway, have a busy weekend ahead. Cousins 50th birthday party and time to get the last minute stuff all finished. Still have to figure out how we are getting to the airport on Thursday, but that's minor stuff.

6 more days till we leave. DH finally getting into it. He is usually the planner, but he has been so stressed with work, that I have done most of the planning.

Football season starting, even though it's only pre season, my Jets looked good last night. And yes, I am a J-E-T-S fan, not someone who jumped on the bandwagon yesterday because they signed Favre, but have been since the late 60s. A long suffering Jets fan, and proud of it.

Gonna go catch a little sun before I head to work, weather is gorgeous here today. It is actually supposed to be in the upper 70s this weekend, which will be a nice break from the 90+ weather we have had most of the summer.

Unfortunaely...as the cruise gets closer..I am up later and later..i know the late ngiht TV schedule by heart!

I figure that it will help me adjust to CA time quickly. If I am up until 1-2 am then that is just 10-11 right?

DD has had to wait for the paperback to come out....unfortunately..it was supposed to be out by now and isn't...we have a surprise for her on the ship tho..we are getting a copy from the UK.

I took DS to the booksotre party the night it was released. He was 8 and I knew that it would be the last one. As much as he loves the series I wanted him to experience that event at least once. He wasn't sure about dressing up because he was worried noone else would. We had a great time.

I am so sorry Shannon. The exact sane thing happened to me twice. I never know about others but it was a comfort to me that I already had a child,.
It is pretty minor and I was at work 2 days later even at 13 weeks.
You probably should not lift bags etc though.

My DS woke me up this morning at 4:00. He said he was having trouble sleeping. I took one look at his pink cheeks and felt his forehead and of course he has a fever. There doesn't seem to be anything else wrong so far, but I'm keeping my fx that whatever this is, that it's done before we leave nexdt week and that's it for being sick. He usually save being sick for when we're actually on a trip. When we were in CA in June, he got croup, a cold and an ear infection (made that plane ride home an interesting experience). Last August when we were at WDW he also had a cold and croup. I'm also keeping my fx that this isn't another ear infection. He had his adenoids out and tubes put in when he was 2.5 because of multiple infections. And then he hadn't had another for 3 years until this past February. And then had another one in April and the one in June. His tubes fell out awhile back and if he has one more infection, it's more tubes in again. And not to mention that DS is very upset about missing camp today because it's "Build-a-toy" day. But at least this is happening now and not when we're about to board the plane or the ship.

Poor boy! I hope he feels better soon and I would be disappointed if I had to miss *Build-a-toy* day, too!

Off to search for the Port address... dh emailed just now....Monday's the day to ship our stuff to the Port......

I know at the beginning o fhte summer it was mentioned that no liquids would be allowed in the boxes. In the past you could ship liquids -- we ship things like Diet Mt Dew, Dr Pepper, foods that Claire will actually eat, etc.....
Has anybody heard if the *no liquids* has been inforced? And how it was inforced?

My wife's X-mas gifts were early prints of UK Harry Potter books. I got her a 18th printing of the philosopher's stone and 1st printing, 3rd state of Azkaban.

Eeeewwww, I got up this morning & there's some kind of pirate fluff all over my computer.

take a picture with each DOTD bartender and friends who consume said drink with me & make a lovely li'l Passport booklet. There be an official seal affixed ta each page. Brink skinny Sharpies ta write the drink name and have your bartender sign with their name and country of origin.​

I know awhile back someone posted about those cheapy digital cams for underwater pics...

Before i get one of those instead of two disposeables....did anyone get one and have it work ok?

The reviews on circuit city weren't great...

We saw them at various stores. We decided against getting it because the photos are going to be the same resolution as my old phone and just not worth it.

Yikes! We finally broke our record streak of 90+ days here in Denver at 24. The most in recorded history. Today's high was about 77, but yet I heard people complain about the "humidity". They have no idea what humidity is.

So the humidity was about 20%? I'm one of those people that will complain about humidity But having lived in NM my entire life, what do you expect?? I DIE when I actually do have to deal with humidity. I'm also known for getting a 'reverse elevation sickness' when I go down to sea level... Just like people that come visit me do (I'm at 7500ft elevation)

One thing to remember once you are onboard if you use the film is to leave what you don't need in your safe in your room. Every time you get off and back on the ship your bags will go through the xray machine. It is okay for a few times but I wouldn't recommend storing all of your unused or used film in your camera bag for multiple exposure to the machine...just to be safe.

Good tip, thanks! We probably would've left extra stuff anyway so that we don't have to actually carry it!
