Hey everyone, I am slowly checking things off my to do list. Today my to do list included calling Verizon for our cell phones and calling Chase and Citibank for our credit cards.
I know someone has listed Verizon rates already but you MUST call verizon to have them turn on the free international roaming service on your account. You must then activate it on your phone before you leave. Its easy and takes all of about a minute to get it done
Also, called the credit card companies today as well. Just FYI - both Chase & Citibank have a 3% international charge fees for any purchases made outside the United States. DH and I are talking about just bring travelers checks to avoid that cost. Anyways, thought I would pass along the info for my fellow![]()
Have a great afternoon!!

Desiree - I may have been there the day Walt Wiley ran down your DH. We saw him several times in the park a day or two after one of the soap weekends.
Not happy about the senior part but I do get discounts.![]()
They man I spoke with yesterday said all I had to do was dial *228 on the phone, pick option 2 and we would be set.
Thanks for the reminder, I have mine boxed up but need to call DT. Any thoughts on how to get from hotel to your stateroom? I don't wan't to check box with porter............concerned about it getting crushed.![]()
I changed the cover on my bed. I bought this on ebay when in Chicago, got it cleaned and has been put away ever since. Now I am getting excited.![]()

I shopped with Vincent D'Onfrio (L&I CI) a couple of weeks ago - he lives pretty close to me. It was funny, I was coming out of the dairy aisle heading towards the deli section and there was this man staring at me - he looked familiar but I couldn't place him. I went about my business in that area and kept glancing over to see if I could figure out who he was (I actually thought he might be somebody that my DH works with) and every time I looked that way he was staring at me. Then I finally figured it out, duh! It was kind of cute, he was pushing the shopping cart while his wife did the shopping.
I've already called Verizon about the international roaming, but there's also something I have to do to the phone?

From the country pull down menu, select Disney Cruise Line - it'll give you the shipboard charges -but you still will need to enable international stuff if you want to call from the ports as per other posts.

Thanx for the link..mine will work in all of the countries..when DH gets home..will have to see if we already have international or not.
We had the same experience...had hail damage and got a whole new better roof. Oh, and our insurance is $339 per year. $500 deductible. I am well aware of how cheap our insurance is here in the Midwest and Wisconsin especially...But, don't even start on property taxes. We pay $6500 per year.![]()
It probably all balances out in the end!
ITA! I felt like I always took a suitcase with me even when we were just going to the grocery store. I can't imageine packing for a baby for this long! Very impressive!
I usually just take my purse to the grocery store (with a diaper and a few wipes and a book and maybe a toy and snacks). The hard part of this is that there will be a lack of abilitly to buy stuff like diapers!
Yes, dial *228 and select option 2. It will make sure that your phones software is updated.
