WOO HOO!! Congratulations!

This is very bad I know but the first song that came to me was one that we used to LOVE to sing at GS camp.

OHHHHHHH they built the ship Titanic to sail the ocean blue and the said it was a ship that the water would never go through. It was on its maiden trip when the iceburg hit the ship. It was sad when the great ship went down down down.

All together now!!!
It was sad, so sad.
It was sad, so sad.
It was sad when the great ship went down (to the bottom of the....)
Uncles and aunts, little children lost their pants.
It was sad when the great ship went down.

Opossum!!!

General Characteristics

Head to Body Length : 33 - 50cm ( 13 -20 inches )

Tail Length : 25 - 54 cm ( 10 -21.5 inches )

Height : 6-9 inches

Weight : 2- 5.5 kg ( 4.5 - 12.0 lbs )

Description :

The opossum is a short, dense fur is marbled gray and black animal . The animal that has got muzzle, eyestripe, and crown are black, and a light band runs across the forehead anterior to the ears. The tail, furred and black at the base, is yellow or white at its end. The ears are naked and rounded. There are sensory facial bristles in tufts above each eye as well as whiskers. The pisiform bone is enlarged on the wrists of the forefeet and resembels a sixth finger. Head and body length ranges from 270 to 400mm and tail length from 310 to 430mm. In addition to dense water-repellent fur, the water opossum has several other adaptations for its aquatic lifestyle. Its hind feet are webbed and are used for propulsion through water. The elongated hallux makes the hind foot symmetrical, which distributes force equally along both borders of the webbing; this increases the efficiency of the water opossum's movement through the water. The forefeet are unwebbed, with long, hairless, tactile fingers and reduced claws.

Range - Opossums are found throughout most of south and central America, north through eastern North America to Ontario and Canada.

Habitat - They live in wide ranges including temperate deciduous forests, tropical forests, forest grasslands, and regions, mountains, and terrestrial arboreal and semi aquatical.

Diet - They eat earthworms, fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. And lots of alcoholic beverages.

What type of animal is it - They are omnivorous.

Why it is a rare animal - They have prehensile tails, (grasping organs and animals climb or feed in trees).

Gestation : 13 months

Longevity : 2 years because of too much drinking!!

Impressive.
Usually the only person who buys me a drink is the creepy guy at the end of the bar.

Still? Doesn't DH have something to say about that? :confused3

Seriously...been there...done that. I don't miss those days at all! I was never much of a club person, believe it or not. I never danced well & I'd rather sit & talk (surprise surprise) which you could never do with the music blasting. My friends, for some reason, always wanted to hit the clubs in Boston so that's where we went almost every single weekend.

At least your trying.:)

I broke my toe last November............They removed part of the bone and put in a metal pin end of February, well my toe has never healed, some pain but I can't wear anything that touches the toe. Hope it works out for you.:wizard:

Sorry it's still bothering you Tina!

Pepper Johnson told me I was his best friend!

Okay, we were in a bar on campus and he was 3 sheets to the wind......and I was still in high school at the time, but still!!!

:worship:

Are we trading celeb encounters? Hugh Jackman called me "love" !:cool1:

Chrissie

:worship: :worship: :worship:

There was a morning radio program here that had "My Brush with Greatness" and people would call in & tell their stories of celebrity encounters. Was it Kiss108?

Anyway, yes I think we should have our own version! Any more celebrity encounters? ;)

It's actually a very upbeat song!

I had a similar conversation with Robert Smith - maybe even in the same Columbus bar. :lmao:

:worship:

Too bad. I had read an article in Rolling Stone years ago, and Robert Smith of The Cure explained how he had written a song about his encounter with a figure skater-turned-hockey player in a Columbus bar. I thought it must have been you.

Show me, show me, show me how you do that [hat] trick.
The one that makes me scream she said.
The one that makes me laugh she said.
And threw her arms around my neck.

Show me how you do it, and I promise you, I promise that I'll run away with you......I'll run away with you [to Alaska].

M's very own theme song!!! :lmao:

:surfweb: I'll have to stick with coffee!

As for the subsequent conversation....I'm keeping out of it! :rolleyes1

I think I deserve a pirate for capturing most of Page 30 on the 30th of July!!!pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

Very busy around here getting ready. We leave in 2 weeks.. WOW!! How does two years come down to 2 WEEKS??. My spare room looks like a cyclone went through with all the clothes and suitcases. How is everyone else packing going?

I think I have it down to 7 pairs of shoes... alot of dresses since my pants are mostly too big.. YEAHH!!!:wishthirty plus pounds and :wishsize4

Still along way to go but it feels so good.:woohoo:

Congrats also to wheelerkidz3 and the new addition.. I hope the morning sickness goes away very soon...

Hey everyone, I am slowly checking things off my to do list. Today my to do list included calling Verizon for our cell phones and calling Chase and Citibank for our credit cards.

I know someone has listed Verizon rates already but you MUST call verizon to have them turn on the free international roaming service on your account. You must then activate it on your phone before you leave. Its easy and takes all of about a minute to get it done

Also, called the credit card companies today as well. Just FYI - both Chase & Citibank have a 3% international charge fees for any purchases made outside the United States. DH and I are talking about just bring travelers checks to avoid that cost. Anyways, thought I would pass along the info for my fellow pirate:

Have a great afternoon!!

The Port Canaveral Authority has chosen CH2M Hill to oversee the modification of the Disney Cruise Line terminal.

The expansion, slated for completion on October 1, 2010, will allow the two new Disney ships access to the Port. The ships, currently being built in Germany, will be substantially larger than Disney's existing fleet.

The contract between CH2M Hill and Port Canaveral is still under negotiation.

Just saw this on the DIS news page. This is my company (we are employee owned so it IS my company). And the guy who is in charge of ports for the Southeast used to work in my office. Maybe I can transfer to the Port Canaveral office.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I hadn't even heard it through the company grapevine yet...I had to read it on the DIS board.:confused3

Thanks for the reminder, I have mine boxed up but need to call DT. Any thoughts on how to get from hotel to your stateroom? I don't wan't to check box with porter............concerned about it getting crushed.:confused3

Not sure on that one. May have to set ours ontop of our carryon and roll it around with us for a couple hours. :confused3 Ours is packed in a computer paper box.

I saw quite a few celebrities while working at DL. Tom Cruise smiled at me once. I rung up Danielle Steele's purchase. They closed the Magic Shop 2 nights in a row, with me as the cashier, so Michael Jackson could shop in there. It was just me, DL security, him and his body guards!
