CRUISE HELP NEEDED FOR PASSPORT PICTURES PLEASE!!!

Tried to get them done today but the PO that the website says does not need appts does so we go on Tuesday. I found a site to set up the pictures on the main board but cannot find anything dictating exactly how the pictures need to be done. I have heard in the past about your ears needing to show and you can't smile. Does anyone know if this is true. I really don't want to go in Tuesday and have our pictures rejected. TIA so much!!!

It varies among processing centers what they will accept, but the professional photographers guide is at http://travel.state.gov/passport/guide/composition/composition_874.html

Yes, finally. I just finished my daughters gold gown from the first movie (my favorite). It's huge. It took 2 months. I'm just waiting for her shoes. They're coming from Canada, from a company that specializes in reproductions from the 16-1800's. They should be here next week. I'll try and post pictures. He's making them out of the same material the dress is made out of (silk brocade).

Actually, I'm going to start packing the costumes today.

Jack tried on his Norrington costume on yesterday. His shoes came in yesterday (from the same company).

He looks smashing!

I weighed my costume the other day it weighs almost 30 lbs. I guess we'll be paying for extra weight and suitcases.

Take care. Say hi to Alan and Adam for us!

I can't wait to see you all dressed up - the costumes sound amazing!

My DD13 was at a friends house yesterday tie dyeing (sp?) shirts for cheer camp and found out that 2 other cheerleaders from her squad are going on our cruise as well. What are the chances that 2 other families from her school are going? She is so excited. They have camp right before we leave. I will sternly remind her, no excessive cheering. That will drive me nuts. We also found out there is a family from DD10's school that is going as well.

I started my packing/to do list yesterday. I'm not sure how to fit it all in. Oh well. I consider it a challenge.:)

Wow - that is really weird that so many people you "know" are going on this cruise! Cheryl and I were just talking the other day about how weird it is there are so few people from Illinois on this cruise (that we know of). I think my DS9 may be the only DIS kid from the whole state! (At least we don't a have to worry about duplicate postcards for the kid swap meet!)

Children and Grandchildren...you got to love them!!!

My DGD(the almost 4 year old that had Salmonella) decided to see if a Polly Pocket purple high heel shoe could fit up her nose today. :headache: :headache: I am doing my job today and DD calls to see if I could come with her to the Doctors office to watch my DGS. I told John to stay and finish the movies. While she was coming to get me.........two cars ahead of her decided to hit a huge break-away light pole.:scared1: :scared1: The car hit the pole and went into a ditch. My daughter missed the car in front of her by inches. The break-away pole flew over three lanes and just missed her car!!! :sad2: My daughter called 911 and the police asked if she could stay by the accident scene. :confused3 She said no she had to rush her daughter to the doctors. The police asked if she need to get an ambulance. Daughter said no.........there was just a shoe up her nose daughter's nose.I think my hair should be totally white by the time we cruise this August. BTW...the doctor did get out the purple shoe.:headache: :headache: :headache:

OMG! What a day. I think your DD officially needs a DOTD today. I am so glad everyone is ok.

ATTN ALL KIDS SM PARTICPANTS!!!

Did that all catch your attn? :lmao: Good! :thumbsup2

Due to an unfortunate incident, I must ask those that have received e-mails with assigned SM's for their kids to stop. I must reassign all kids over the age of 7 - MEANING - THOSE UNDER 7 ARE GOOD TO GO! REPEAT - THOSE WITH KIDS UNDER AGE 7 ARE FREE TO CONTINUE WITH THEIR ASSIGNED SM.

I know that those in the ages of 7-12 have not received anything - they were assigned but now they must be reassigned. I ask you to please bear with me and stop buying gifts. I believe that many will be getting the same SMs but I must juggle some names around. I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE for this but it cannot be helped. You should be hearing from me soon. I was e-mailing individually but it is taking too dang long so I have decided to post here. I promise to work on this tonight and tomorrow and hope to have new SMs out starting tomorrow. My dear dear husband has decided to step in and help me since I have a major migraine which is really affecting my vision right now.

AND YES, THE ADULTS SM ARE 90% DONE! SO STOP ASKING!

JUST KIDDING! They too will be going out this weekend! Thanks all for understanding. Talk to you all later. Gotta run - being paged!

Laura thanks so much for doing all this. It's unfortunate it has turned into such a headache! :headache: Take care & I hope things get better for you!

"Because I wanted to see what happened..." is the usual response of gifted kids.

We get this a lot from our DS 10. He is always doing stuff just to see....ok sometimes, not so good others. I just wish I could stay one step ahead of him.;)

welcome to my world

 sorry to hear about this.....hope something turns up for both of us soon

It's much better than the stressed evening we spent our first cruise trying to pack everything up knowing that we were missing the fun downstairs.

I finally got smart on this last cruise and did exactly what you described...it made it so much easier, and I got to actually have some last-night fun for once!

I have a "foreign object" in an orfice story.
Last year I got a call from the school nurse on Miranda. As the girl has never missed a day of school, I was concerned. Turns out the girl put an eraser in her ear. I took her 30 mins away to see her Pediatrician but he said we would have to go to an ENT as it was REALLY down there.
$250.00 later an ENT has said eraser out of her ear.
Needless to say I had quite the conversation with her on why she did that.

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I have to say that none of my kids ever stuck anything where it didn't belong.

Jared DID eat a scorpion once, though.

Dirty Jobs......**sigh***....gotta love Mike Rowe....:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

That's because he is HOT! :thumbsup2 I don't know how tall he is but, if it is over 6' tall them he is REALLY hot! :goodvibes

A thread for them would work too. But DS is often looking over my shoulder on Friday nights asking when he could chat. And he has a lot of fun chatting on MileyWorld. I just figured a weekly chat would be fun for them.

We have a MileyWorld acct.....

Home from the ER. DS was taking out the trash and comes inside calling for me to get him a band-aid right away because he cut his leg and he's bleeding. As soon as I washed it off I could see he needed stitches - he sliced it open on a broken wine glass, the glass acted like a scalpel and made about a 3 inch laceration across the bottom of his knee - deeper on one side and more like deep scrape on the other. So off to the ER and 3 stitches later we're home. They gave him a needle to numb him up before they did the stitches, I couldn't watch - Pete said it was huge.

So I'm sure you're wondering HOW he cut his knee on a broken glass in the trash...well the stupid kid picks up the trash bag and walks with it plastered to his side. I had packed up the broken glass in newspaper and had it in the middle of the trash bag with other stuff around it but with the way he was handling it, it shifted around.

And YES, there was wine in the glass when it broke:sad1:. I had just filled it and put in on my end table and went to wind up the cookoo clock when one of the pulleys hit the lamp knocking it over which fell on the wine glass sending it crashing to the floor.

I'm glad that he is ok! What a freak accident!!!

Happy Birthday Claire!!!

She says *Thanks!* She has LOVED the cakes and b-day wishes!

Same type of incident, only it was someones household trash they dumped on our farm. I went through it and found a whole box of their blank checks. Decided I would share the wealth and drove all over town dropping books of checks in areas where low lifes hang. It wasn't long before bad checks started turning up from thier account:thumbsup2

:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

Not participating but a few things that came to mind for me were

Embarkation
Sail Away
Til We Meet Again
Character Breakfast

Thank you. Someone on the email list suggested the same ones -- I wasn't doing welll yesteday and I knew that I would mess up! LOL! Dh has made me promise to see a Dr today.......

Can anyone say "strip search?"

My middle DD's boyfriend just became a police officer. On his first day on patrol, they arrested a guy for drugs.
They had to take him to the jail and do a strip search. I could have lived my whole entire life without a demonstration of exactly what they do!!

Oddly enough, we've been on two cruises where my son ran into kids from his school. And the funniest thing about it, he didn't "hang" with them. He preferred to meet new kids from other states to hang out with.

I took the kids to Walgreens to have their new ones taken, and the guy there insisted on having my daughter put her hair behind her ears. He said that they HAD to show the ears. That was a new one on me. Mine doesn't show MY ears.
:confused3 :confused3

too :cool2: ..we have extra's..of every day...except the grand cayman ,

:confused3 ..dispeared. thanks for checking, :flower3:

* that was ..our..fifth cruise..& the first time..we ever saved the

navigators.

well..mismce, you should had an interesting day..... , and good
fortunes!...escaping with jus a minor inconvience...& a funny story.
but oyey!..it should show how quickly one's life can change forever in
a blink of an eye. did they make the news?

...:flower3: , thanks..esteri...like indiana jones, i'm a safe guy & i
don't believe..in the boogey man, well i do kno crash...

..wow, reading all the other stories...of dumping & junk....only..makes
me feel stronger..our society 's needs for adopting a better laws system,
[ based on addressing mental health..issues] & redirecting hostile
intent before things are alllowed to progress.

* to be honest..in this situation..i'm not really sure..what in the world...
this kook's motivation. ( his behaviors...have caught me off guard....)
sooo now....i'm just begining to evulate...what we need to be doing.
beside cameras, ..iam thinking offering a reward..for information..leading
to arrest/convictions..of his vandalism & passing them out...to those up &
down the road. after all, he has shown..signs..of being under the influence..
what are the chances..of him "talking-up" his destruction?

of course, my problems..nothing copmpare to losing one job, i'm so sorry!

:grouphug:

That's because he is HOT! :thumbsup2 I don't know how tall he is but, if it is over 6' tall them he is REALLY hot! :goodvibes

And he's a concert pianist! Any guy who could either play the piano or sing to me (or both) would have me melting!!
