Children and Grandchildren...you got to love them!!!

My DGD(the almost 4 year old that had Salmonella) decided to see if a Polly Pocket purple high heel shoe could fit up her nose today. :headache: :headache: I am doing my job today and DD calls to see if I could come with her to the Doctors office to watch my DGS. I told John to stay and finish the movies. While she was coming to get me.........two cars ahead of her decided to hit a huge break-away light pole.:scared1: :scared1: The car hit the pole and went into a ditch. My daughter missed the car in front of her by inches. The break-away pole flew over three lanes and just missed her car!!! :sad2: My daughter called 911 and the police asked if she could stay by the accident scene. :confused3 She said no she had to rush her daughter to the doctors. The police asked if she need to get an ambulance. Daughter said no.........there was just a shoe up her nose daughter's nose.I think my hair should be totally white by the time we cruise this August. BTW...the doctor did get out the purple shoe.:headache: :headache: :headache:

I know that really none of this was funny BUT, I actually laughed outloud at the absurdity of it all! It sounds like it couldn't have been choregraphed any better!

I hope no one was seriously injured and I'm glad they could remove the shoe -- at least it was purple. :flower3:

So glad that everyone is alright, but like others, I found your story very funny! Kids do the darndest things!

I am done reassigning kids SM's. They will go out sometime Thursday in batches. Thank you all for understanding. Also for you impatient people (:teeth: :rotfl: ) first adult ones will go out too! Can u tell I was a busy bee tonight? Haven't stayed up this late since end of April!!!!! LOL

Later Gators. Off to catch some zzzzzzzz's.

Take care and thanks so much for doing this for the kids (and adults!). :thumbsup2 Even though I'm not participating, the rest of the family is and I know they're looking forward to the SM.

If anyone sees my kids misbehaving on the cruise, please correct them! And then tell me.

ITA...I'm going to tell the kids that there pictures were seen daily by all of you and to watch out as we have spies all over the ship to make sure they're on their best behavior!

Nice to see you around!!

This raises some questions for those doing Roger and Julie's Zip Line Adventure, the instructions I got are very specific about "local time" and ignoring "ship time." How does this play our for us?

If we are into PV at 9:30 ship time, what time is it PV time?

Great question! :confused3 I was responding to the PV time solely for communication back with those in the US. I hope that the ships arrives at 9:30 PV time so that we can make it off the ship and downtown before noon for the zipline tour! Is there anyway we can tell by looking at the WB Navigators??

welcome to my world

 sorry to hear about this.....hope something turns up for both of us soon

Ditto... and hope both of you find something before the TOAL!

too :cool2: ..we have extra's..of every day...except the grand cayman ,

:confused3 ..dispeared. thanks for checking, :flower3:

* that was ..our..fifth cruise..& the first time..we ever saved the

navigators.

well..mismce, you should had an interesting day..... , and good
fortunes!...escaping with jus a minor inconvience...& a funny story.
but oyey!..it should show how quickly one's life can change forever in
a blink of an eye. did they make the news?

...:flower3: , thanks..esteri...like indiana jones, i'm a safe guy & i
don't believe..in the boogey man, well i do kno crash...

..wow, reading all the other stories...of dumping & junk....only..makes
me feel stronger..our society 's needs for adopting a better laws system,
[ based on addressing mental health..issues] & redirecting hostile
intent before things are alllowed to progress.

* to be honest..in this situation..i'm not really sure..what in the world...
this kook's motivation. ( his behaviors...have caught me off guard....)
sooo now....i'm just begining to evulate...what we need to be doing.
beside cameras, ..iam thinking offering a reward..for information..leading
to arrest/convictions..of his vandalism & passing them out...to those up &
down the road. after all, he has shown..signs..of being under the influence..
what are the chances..of him "talking-up" his destruction?

of course, my problems..nothing copmpare to losing one job, i'm so sorry!

:grouphug:

This is a really expensive option...but maybe surveillance cameras for night time might be in order?

Some people are just flat-out looney and evil and there's no reason at all behind their actions.

I think you need to tread very carefully with this guy. He sounds volatile.

And he's a concert pianist! Any guy who could either play the piano or sing to me (or both) would have me melting!!

I've never heard the concert pianist before (wouldn't surprise me though!) but he did sing with the Baltimore Opera.

The ship changed to port time at each port for the Mexican Riviera. We went forward in time. So the ship was on PV time in PV, which I actually think by then had us on US Eastern time.....I think.

He played the piano on one episode and I was just enthralled!!

Well, I guess I had best get going. My new glasses are ready....that was quick. And I actually like them a lot better than the ones that are at the bottom of the ocean in Cabo.
;) ;)

I don't know if you have ever seen his interview with - I think it was Jay Leno - he also started out on TV selling items for QVC (I think) ..I think it something to do with a doll if I am not mistaken (he was really funny!)..

I couldn't find him with the doll but here he is singing with a Karaoke set he was selling..he sings!

That's because he is HOT! :thumbsup2 I don't know how tall he is but, if it is over 6' tall them he is REALLY hot! :goodvibes

Because I am bored this morning and don't feel like cleaning the house although I should be....I looked it up...Mike Rowe is exactly 6 feet tall...

There you go. The perfect man.
He's handsome, has a sense of humor, works hard, isn't afraid to get dirty, cleans up nice, sings, plays the piano........
You just have to wonder why he isn't married. My daughter has a theory (which I won't print here) and I REALLY hope she's wrong.
:rolleyes1

:lmao: You are soooo PC!! I choose to ignore your DD theory and replace it with my own (wait..I think I have the wrong show)

Well, he's much better looking than any of the Mythbusters!

Frankly, he's a nice looking guy, but not my type. I love his sense of humor and deadpan delivery though.

Since this is our first trip to DL, we aren't making any PS's. We're just hoping to get most things in during the two days we're there. We'll actually be visiting San Diego and Legoland in addition to DLR. We're going to be ready to board on Sunday just to relax!

I was going to say, if you run short on time you may leave out Legoland. We went about two years back and were not all that impressed. I think you would enjoy DL or SeaWorld or Universal Studios much better then Legoland.

There are going to be a lot of "little black dresses" out there getting worn more than once:rolleyes1
At least the LBD doesn't show spills!

So while this had to be horrible for everyone invovled, I couldn't stop giggling about it! :rotfl:

CRUISE HELP NEEDED FOR PASSPORT PICTURES PLEASE!!!

Tried to get them done today but the PO that the website says does not need appts does so we go on Tuesday. I found a site to set up the pictures on the main board but cannot find anything dictating exactly how the pictures need to be done. I have heard in the past about your ears needing to show and you can't smile. Does anyone know if this is true. I really don't want to go in Tuesday and have our pictures rejected. TIA so much!!!

I just went to the PO and they took the photo for me. It was an additional $15, but totally worth it to get everything done at once.

I can't believe some of you are so far ahead of me planning/packing. I have not done anything (well that is except try on my pirate nightdress and formal dress and cry because they are are SSSOOO tight".
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a pirate wench costume SUPPOSED to be tight? Isn't that the point? :confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

HI all!

Just wanted to say thanks for all your feedback on the name tag..hopefully the name/dis name are large enough for people to be able to read! (I know this was a concern when the idea was first thrown out!)

And really it is no problem...you are wonderful people with helpful (and OFTEN) funny things to say....these are a thanks to YOU in advance for having a part in a wonderful trip!

Helpful hint for those who feel their clothes are a bit snug...
Up your water intake...I drink water all day...while in front of the computer in my car etc,,,and I give myself 2 diet drinks a day (or those who like the coffees etc)

It works for me in a pinch...maybe it will work for you!
Remember you are all beautiful people no matter what you wear or how it looks on you!
(except for Tom and his speedo and crocs! lol:lmao: kidding Tom!)

Chrissie
The name tags are great...not that I can request one yet! Must get the exact cruise info out of him soon! And ITA...upping my water intake and cutting caffienated beverages really helps me to lose more weight. Also makes my skin look better!

I took the kids to Walgreens to have their new ones taken, and the guy there insisted on having my daughter put her hair behind her ears. He said that they HAD to show the ears. That was a new one on me. Mine doesn't show MY ears.
:confused3 :confused3

I used to work for Kinko's and did passport photos there. The only ones that have to show ears is for immigration/green card photos. THoes have to be 3/4 profiles, ears showing, no earrings, and no smile. It was horrible trying to get the "correct" pose for people.

But you made some visually impared fish really happy.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
For some reason this really cracked me up! Hey, it's the day before a holiday.

I liked Mike Rowe when he was a QVC host. He has a warped sense of humor.

I can't believe some of you are so far ahead of me planning/packing. I have not done anything (well that is except try on my pirate nightdress and formal dress and cry because they are are SSSOOO tight".

I haven't done any planning/packing either...... I did try on the formals I plan to wear to make sure everything fits and I have the right undergarments. ;)

My DD13 was at a friends house yesterday tie dyeing (sp?) shirts for cheer camp and found out that 2 other cheerleaders from her squad are going on our cruise as well. What are the chances that 2 other families from her school are going? She is so excited. They have camp right before we leave. I will sternly remind her, no excessive cheering. That will drive me nuts. We also found out there is a family from DD10's school that is going as well.

I started my packing/to do list yesterday. I'm not sure how to fit it all in. Oh well. I consider it a challenge.:)

What are the odds??? I tell everyone I can where we're going and Ihave found a couple of others that have done DCL or want to but, I haven't found anyone else going on this cruise!!! LOL!

Feel better :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thank you! I did wake up feeling MUCH better then I have for days! So, now I'm trying to convince dh I don't need to see the dr....

ITA...I'm going to tell the kids that there pictures were seen daily by all of you and to watch out as we have spies all over the ship to make sure they're on their best behavior!

:lmao: That is good! 10ds was reading you boys post on the kids thread and he is very excited to meet your 10yr old almost 11ds. Elvis turned to me and said *He likes all the same things I do!* Extremely excited -- Elvis is not usually excited about meeting anyone....... His real name is Brian but, he has gone by Elvis on the last 3 cruises and at most places.....

Because I am bored this morning and don't feel like cleaning the house although I should be....I looked it up...Mike Rowe is exactly 6 feet tall...

:lovestruc Ok. Tall enough. :goodvibes I like them tall, dark, handsome and funny! Just ask dh. ;) There are very few men that I find attractive... I asked dh once if it bothered him that I thought this one actor was goodlooking...he replied *No. Everyone you think is cute looks something like me.* And he was right! LOL!!!!!

The only thing I have packed are the FE. I packed 100 so far and once we have the final count I will add the rest. I also started to get the toiletries together. DH has a few bottles of wine and champagne all bubble wrapped and packed in its own suitcase. We like certain types / brands of wine and comparing the cost of them on the ship wine list vs what they cost in Costco he decide to pack his own. Other then that nothing else packed but things put aside waiting to be packed

Thank you! I did wake up feeling MUCH better then I have for days! So, now I'm trying to convince dh I don't need to see the dr....

Your welcome, maybe you were just a little run down with everyone being gone and you handling everything

That is convenient :rotfl2:
