Bruce, says that this is how he felt this last time that he had the vertigo.........It is a virus but comes in different forms..........Definately, go and get him checked out it will only get worse and motion will only make it worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Jen, I'm sorry to say it does sound like vertigo. My mom got this after Disney trip two years ago - very sick and took a very long time to overcome. I didn't know children could get vertigo!(and, Kristen, I didn't realize it is a virus!)

Definitely get him checked out so hopefully he can enjoy the cruise! Good luck!

I hope it is not vertigo! We went to bed early and are letting Ben sleep in this morning. If he is not good today....we will go to the clinic. I will keep you updated. I did give him motion sickness medicine last night - I am sure it made him sleep soundly!

Everything else has been really nice though. We are loving the HOT weather and just being at WDW!

Good luck Jen with Ben. I hope he feels better today when we wakes up. Good idea giving him motion sickness medicine. You should probablly keep that up until you get on the ship.

Checking in quickly....

Our family had a great afternoon today with Jude and her family!!! We met up at our pool and enjoyed the hot weather!

The weather is...hot!
The crowds are...manageable...sometimes bad...sometimes okay.
We have learned...NEVER to allow Ben to try the orange line for Mission Space.

My DS who LOVES rides, loves spinning, loves simulators...got horrible motion sickness from MS! He has not been able to do ANY rides since then and tonight could not even take the loud sounds and motion of Spectromagic so after waiting 2 hours for a great parade spot we LEFT! I feel so horrible for him. He is now in bed and is trying to rest.

This has now been TWO days of feeling sick from the ride. We are hoping he gets better soon. It is so sad because he keeps saying how he waited 2 years for this trip. We are trying to make the best of it for him but it is hard.

The rest has been really wonderful and there have been highlights and good times. We just hope to get back to that soon again!

I hope Ben feels better soon, sendidng some pixie dust your way...

A few years back we went during Christmas break, we were so excited about going when all of the decorations were up...we arrived on the 27th checked in then went to Rose and Crown which is our first night dinner tradition. After ordering before our food arrived my husband said that he wasn't feeling well and that he was going back to the room...he spent the next 3 days with the flu and the day before he started feeling better Elin came down with the same bug...she couldn't keep anything down for days. We didn't leave our room for about 6 days. We always say at least it was so busy we wouldn't have done much during that time anyway..It was an experience that I do not want to repeat..

Still here too, torromow is packing day and last minute errands and pets to vet for boarding, Gas up car and final review of trip plans.

Glad I wasnt at work today , I got a call about problems they had.

Hi to everyone who's still here! Safe travels to everyone leaving tomorrow.

I haven't had time to post since my niece was in from CA. My sister had a family party at her place on Sun so everyone could get a chance to visit. We had a really bad thunderstorm during the party and when we arrived home we had no electricity! At our place that also means no water and no septic. So we sat around the house by lantern light last night since DH had to stay up to take his meds since he is

Called my Mom today and she said "Guess where I am?" - She was in the hospital. Her BP is fine when she is sitting but it doesn't change when she moves around so when she is moving her BP is too low. Sounds like she will be fine but just makes me nervous.

Tomorrow Patrick finds out whether he gets his shorter and more importantly waterproof cast!

We leave on Wed and I'm mostly NOT packed! I do have things laid out all over our guest room and have packed the carry-ons as much as they can be without those final touches that can't be done until the last minute!

DH printed some character autograph pages and did his pin sorting today.

We'll have a little time tomorrow morning before we leave for children's hospital (usually a whole day affair!) and then DH has karate tomorrow night. Last summer Patrick and I always swam while dad was at karate. I'm sure that Patrick is going to want to go swimming tomorrow night too. And after not being able to swim all summer, I really want to take him. But is it wrong to ask for more thundershowers? Ones that don't take out our electricity.


Also wanted to share the fortune's DH and I got at Chinese on Sat night:

Mine - You will be traveling and coming into a fortune

Well all packed and more amazing even tho we are not flying all three bags are under 50lbs. not by much but still under.

looks like 5 bags 3 large and 2 small for 3 people 16 days on the road in total. Pets are at the vet,(boarding). paper and mail are stopped,. Alarm set for morning.

10 hrs to go until road trip 2009 begins

The good news is Patrick got his water-proof cast and we tried it out tonight. The bad news is that it is supposed to dry in 1-3 hours and it didn't!

Well I think that major packing is done! Good thing since we leave tomorrow!

Just need to do my flight check-in tomorrow morning, finish up the last few errands and we're off to the airport hotel!

and Ed, safe travels, enjoy Maryland House (I know it well)!

At Airport nightmare!

Two traffic jams also exit to airport closed delayed an hour last night, then cark parking the person taking my car delayed by the incoming people who went on a wander, now 90 min delay so will miss Chef Mickeys tonight!!

My Mom has been released from hospital and had some meds changes. She says she is feeling a little better but is still having symptoms but I suspect it will take some time for her system to clear the old meds out.
