Dinner was fun - the girls had fun with their friends.

The dates in April are - April 15-25 - the girls are dancing at downtown Disney and Sea World. The troupe will stay at the All Star Movies. Per the director they HAVE to stay at the same hotel which makes it easier when they have to perform. They day of the performance they are not allowed to leave the hotel until the show. It prevents anyone from missing or losing a costume. Works out well.

I can not wait - having a hard time concentrating at work this am - can you tell

Tonight is loading the car night, getting the carry on's finalized and just relaxing.

Just got to get through the last day of work today Tonight we are having our traditional before vacation chinese food! Just about packed just have a few last minutes things, then tomorrow it is off to the airport.

Greetings from Richmond Va
Made it after an 9/1/2 hr drive that should have taken about 8/1/2 with breaks. (pit stops and lunch).

Ran into heavy traffic , Ny, Nj, MAryland, other side of DC.

Missed an extra here and there due to trucks being in the way.

Made it safe and sound. Due to traffic didn't make Maryland house for lunch, ate in Deleware.

Good dinner at Longhorn steakhouse and I spotted a Bob Evans that will be breakfast in AM

Concentration At Work - none here....just trying to get as much done as possible so I will not think about work while I am gone.

We are pretty much all packed, DH working until Midnight so once he gets home he will put all of the last minute stuff he has in the last carryon bag and we will pack the car. We are getting up about 5:30 am, and after finishing last minute house stuff we will be on our way. We should get into Orlando around 2:30 then off to Cocoa Beach...I am soooo excited I am about to bust.

How do you like going in April? Are the crowds crazy?

We haven't decide what to do next year for spring break..but diffenitly want to go to WDW sometime...We went last fall for a long weekend during Halloween and bought 10 day non expiration tickets which are burning a hole in my pocket.

Denise - crowds are so so - sometimes you hit is bad like the parade and other times not at all. This will be our 4th April in Disney and we keep going back.

This will be our third trip in April...........and it is crowded but more crowded during Easter Week rather than the Non-Easter Week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Why, are you thinking of going then too??

Hello Everyone! I am going to give an update on the trip...almost like a mini trip report!

Beginning -
Plane delayed and then arrived in FL. Thought SSR was lovely but bus service to DTD was HORRIBLE!!!!! Loved the pools, took a tour of DVC (wished that I had a job and we could buy), met Marco & Laura.

Phase 2 -
Moved to the Poly and we love it here!!!! Had a lot of fun meeting Jude & her family - kids got along GREAT! Very hot weather, resort is VERY crowded (especially the pool), had our ups and downs. Hot sweaty days with storms at night.

Ben -
MAJOR problem with Mission Space. He is now taking prescription meds and is using a wheelchair in the parks (needs to be out of the sun as much as possible and take it easy). The guest assistance card works nicely to help get on some of the rides quickly. We are HOPING to get him on RNR tomorrow. The doctor said that with a couple days of the meds he could give it a try. It is Ben's FAVORITE ride and it is making him very sad that his trip is "ruined" by his one ride on MS. Hopefully he will trust the meds enough tomorrow not to be too scared to try a real ride.

Observations -
1. A mom and 2 boys at Cape May for character breakfast...were there for at least 2 rotations of the characters. Boys had Nintendo DS and we eating in between playing their games...mom was working on computer. They seemed almost like the characters were interrupting them when they came around...weird!
2. A family of 4 on the bus...2 little girls making LOUD and VERY HIGH PITCHED bird calls . Each time the girls quieted down...dad started whistling like a bird to get them going again...long bus ride.
3. A group on the monorail talking about how it would be great if Disney had a resort themed with movie things and did you hear...Disney has a cruise ship!!!! Funny!
4. A nice young man in line with a friend for Splash Mountain...young man meaning like young 20's (or at least "older" teen)...must have found my 13 year old DS to be interesting...looked her UP & DOWN several times...was NOT discrete about it at all. Hmmmm.....
5. Our beautiful and most beloved resort...not so loved. We cannot believe all of the little things that add up to the resort not feeling the same as we have experienced in the past. The pools not picked up at night (lots of wet, gross towels and trash around in the morning)...housekeeping carts kept outside our door ALL day....beds turned down at night but no fresh towels if we used some during the day (we are in club level), etc. Sad.

Well, I don't even know if there are many of you around to read my little update. I hope that everyone is on their way or close to it!!! Can't wait to see you all soon!!!!

Jen - thanks for the trip report. So sorry to hear about Ben. I hope things go better for the second half of the trip for you.

Cannot wait to meet everyone. The car is packed as we are staying at a hotel at the airport tomorrow. I do have to work for a 1/2 day and then go home and get the girls. We will then go and get mani pedi's and then pick up my DH at work. To dinner then bed early.

We will meet up with some of you at the port and the rest on the ship.

Jen, I hope the meds help Ben recover soon,

This day 2 of our road trip, Made Savannah GA within 20 mins of our planned time, all in all happy with time we made.

Rain into rain most of the trip today, a couple of heavy downpours blinding at times.

Went to dinner tonight, at Lady and Sons, Paula Deans restaurant,
Got in with no wait, thanks to downpour that happened as we got there
Whole line of people disappeared and they said if we could park the car quickly they were taking first come first server at that time

we have now moved to the radisson at cape canaveral.
had a wonderful sunny afternoon at the pool.
then went to jetty park and watched the wonder sail out, willl be us on saturday but on the magic
thought we would have some dinner at GRILLS restaurant, didn't get any rain here until 7pm .
