7 Month Window for VB week after Christmas

I was thinking about booking Vero Beach for Dec. 26th to January 1st and was wondering what my chances would be at the 7 month windos? Anyone ever try this before?

If you have the points now but at another DVC resorts you can ask over on the rental/trade board if someone will trade their points with you so can make the reservation now.
