6/13/2009 Western on Magic- Our Cruise Chat Continues!

[SUZCRUISE]

TO DO LIST:

1) turn off automatic ice maker!
2) unplug all electrical appliances that are not necessary to have plugged in (they still use electricity)
3) remember to pack all electronic cords & chargers. Phone charger in carry on (I forgot this 1 year & had to buy one @ the airport $$)
4) no clothes in washer or dryer (wet)


I have a cat sitter, cld cc company, held mail, but STILL NEED TO PACK!!

If you have kids, make sure the toilets are flushed... you can't imagine what it's like after 12 days.....

have fun to anyone leaving soon for time at WDW before the cruise. I am jealous of those who can do close to 2 weeks. I could never miss that much time from work all at once, plus our pets would go crazy!!

I started to pacl Brandon. We have to pick up his suit and pants tomorrow.


After karate tonight I hope to organize some of what I will need. I got a bunch of books and have to decide which ones to bring. I still have to dig my dresses out of the closet to decide on something for formal night. Trying things on is just such a pain!

Today was the last day of school for Brandon and he did not go to the pool party because the weather was bad.

Finished my 5 nights out of 6. have tomorrow off and then work every night until we leave on Thurs. I have soooo much to do. Tonight we are running errands, packing me and DH. Tomorrow pack the kids completely, get haircuts, go finish errands. Then work until we leave. Wed DH will have to get the last minute stuff together. It's gonna be CRAZY!!! We got our tickets for the up close tour at Kennedy next Friday, so we should get to see the Space Shuttle on the launch pad and then watch the launch from our hotel room Sat am. I am so ready for this trip!!! (well, once I pack I will be...)

Oh, and we are driving thru Jacksonville Beach to see my good friend (34) who was Rees' PT for 6 years. She just got married a year ago and now has metastatic thyroid cancer. We're stopping for a visit and to eat lunch.

All your kids are lucky, mine are still in school until next Thursday... Although they are missing the last day.... which means they will just be that much more wound up in the car..

I know it is time to actually pack and discretely continue to steal DS Layne's clothes out of his room.... How about this morning he kept saying he couldn't find anything to wear to school.... I told him laundry was backed up...(yeah backed up into the luggage shhhh)

I got the DIS meet gift that represents South Carolina. It is something that you will be able to use on the cruise and that's all I'm going to say about that.

Well, just got home from Jordan's dress rehearsal for her recital tomorrow. I'll be glad when that is all over. She went to the dentist this morning and they fixed her crown(cap), so hopefully that is done. Her last full day of school was today- she has a half day on Monday and kindergarten graduation on Tuesday morning- and then they are done. I had to scramble to find sitters for those days, don't they know that some parents work? LOL

I'm so excited!! and I just can't hide it!!

I'm packed. Except for toiletries, I finished two days ago. It started under the pretense of making sure that everything fit...but then it got so exciting that It turned into the full packing, lol.

It almost seems surreal sometimes...in a week we'll be on our way to 7 days of bliss.

Got to pack, got to pack... we have a softball tournament this morning so I'll sit dutifully in the bleachers and make a "to do" list, then off to running around to get all those niggly things on my list.

Good morning everyone! At this time next week ~ Diane, Larry, Jayde & I will be sitting somewhere near Port watching the shuttle launch!!!

Cruise Casual ~ are jean capris acceptable? They say no shorts, tank tops, or swimwear but jeans are OK. That is pretty much all Jayde has except for one pair of semi-dressy ones.

I am on a mission to almost completely pack today (except for things we still need). Hopefully, I will remember to add them on Thurs night otherwise we will be stopping at Walmart.

Not much on the agenda for today ~ still looking for a maid , finish getting a few things, make mani/pedi appts, & foot Dr appt (I started getting a shooting pain in my left foot & sometimes it radiates up my legs (prior foot problem)), etc. Jayde is babysitting tonight & friends want me to go to the bar. ARGH ~ I dislike going to dance clubs AND game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals are on.. What are my friends thinking?!?

Good morning all

Busy weekend for us as the last of the 4 dance recitals is today at 10:30 and 2:00 ... then it's off to the after recital party ... and then to a surprise 40th for two of my cousins ... don't people know I am getting ready for vacation

School finished yesterday, we drove to D.C. to pick up my older DS from a minimester there and the other three are done!!!!

I told everyone that there are to be no plans tomorrow as everyone must be in cruise mode and pack! I am working Monday and Tuesday and left Wed. for running around. We leave on Thursday, taking the Auto Train to Orlando. We'll spend Friday at AKL relaxing. Then Sat. it's up early and making our way to the port

I hope everyone has a productive weekend and enjoys preparing for the cruise.

they used to request no jeans, but removed that from the suggestions. You will see some, but in my experience not many. On cruise casual nights my sons usually wear dockers and a collared shirt. I usually wear a sun dress of some sorts or nice capris.

Good morning all!!!! We are having the same issue with Megan's clothes...she has her 2 dresses, one skirt and one pair of capris... I just hate to spend more money on dressier stuff (ie non jean capris) that she won't wear much after the cruise, know what I mean?? We might run out today and look for something else for her though...seems like the shopping never ends!! I am thinking maybe jean capris would be ok on pirate night??

I am ALMOST done with my FE gifts.... I want to box and send them out on Monday to our Orlando hotel...

I WILL pack today and tomorrow...I will I will!!! I can't believe we will be boarding the ship ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!
