5gallon Water Bottle Filled With Change

We love using one of the generic battery operated coin sorters we have at home. We stick our change in there and always have a bag of wrappers around. The one we have has special plastic cases (same shape as a coin paper wrap) and is designed so once it gets to the top you know you have the right amount for a roll and you do not even need to count it. You just need to slide the wrap in and fold the edge. The only downside to this though is it is obvious how much you have just by looking at the rolls. Part of me likes the excitement of having a huge amount of change saved and when it comes time being suprised at how much I have :)

I have a coffee can at home that I throw all my change in. Each time I cash it in, it is at least $200. I go to a local casino that doesn't charge to count it.

It's almost time to cash in now. We leave for vacation in a month. :thumbsup2

I won 200 at the casino one night...after spending 20 bucks...and put it all in the Disney Fund...last year I did not do so well with saving and took $$ $ OUT of the milk jug :teeth: so this year, dh SUPER GLUED to lid with a tiny slot on top!!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :confused3

anyway I am hoping to have money for our food since we are not getting the Dining plan this time....

hoping for 500 bucks this time around

I will also do ebay, a garage sale, and I clean my brother's office for 25 a week and my friend said I can clean her house for 50 a week...

I do not even cash the checks just place them in the jar and cash them before we go to WDW!!!

You should cash the checks first. She won't be able to balance out her account until you cash them. Also, most banks have time limits on cashing checks. I think they are void after 6 months....

We also save our change. My DD LOVES to "clean out" Daddys car every month. Whatever she finds goes right into her piggy bank.

One of my best friends in college was a waitress. She saved all her silver coins in a 5 gallon jug. Over a year she was able to save more than $5,000! It was about half full, I think. She went with me to Europe for the summer with her savings!

That was a fantastic trip. Three of us went and each of us had a relative in a key location :thumbsup2 Outside of London, Outside of Paris, and one in Germany.
