I think I see why there's a lull here on the thread on Sunday evenings! Seriously!

OM, don't you remember the picture of Scoopie with the humungous plate of Huevos Rancheros smothered in green chile? Mmmmm, Garcia's. We couldn't get Garry to go there.

dzneprincess said:
PS you would probably most likely see this "green chiles" sold in your grocery store only they are called anaheim peppers...at least that is how they term them here in GA...

ANG you guys okay? and Julia? and Everyone else in GA? We just had a rough spell and were under a tornado watch

Hope all is well around there? My DH is also in Atlanta this week. I talked to him tonight and he said it was raining cats and dogs like it was just here the past couple of days in the Dallas area. Hope you all don't get much bad weather or flooding like it did here. :wizard:

Hello from chilly & rainy California! Wanted to check in and so far this is the earliest we've come back to the room. We're having fun, hitting the highlights but not racing around.
The cheerleaders placed first in semi-finals on Saturday and then third in the Nationals on Sunday! What a huge crowd.....and some of the CoEd varsity squads were astounding.
Hope everyone is good.....I haven't read all the pages yet.
Hang in there garRy!

By the way.... thanks to the hour and a half baggage check in line on Saturday, we missed our flight (something I'm good at) and had to wait 2 hours for the next one. Oh well, we got here!
Take care....TTFN

Good Morning All - Meeting was in the State Botanical Garden - and in spring, it was absolutely, positively beautiful - the garden is a woodland arond a lake and the dgwood, redbud, wysteria, azaleaus, camelias, pansies and more were breathtakingly wonderful.......and pretty too!

Sunday I was whisked away on a sailboat out into the gulf for the morning, a road trip to Apalachicola in the afternoon and a tiki bar for dinner at sunset at St. George Island ----

ahhhh --- a mini vacation -- back to the real work world today.

And what have you all been up to?

Let's check!!!!!

Hi everyone, I haven't taken the time to introduce myself yet because, like Jeri, I realized I'd better get things booked!!! I've been working on our pre-cruise night stay this morning so I though I'd share what I found out (which isn't much) for Jeri and anyone else..........The Radisson has a std room for $149 smoking only. The AAA rate is already booked. They also have a whirlpool suite for $179 which you could request nonsmoking. I just don't want to spend that much when we won't have much time to enjoy the place. Ron Jon's has a studio for $210 and a 1 bedroom with a balcony for $275. The Country Inn doesn't seem to be taking reservations yet. I did leave a message asking them to call me. The Residence Inn is either full or their not taking reservations. I haven't been able to get a clear answer on that. I'm giving up on this for awhile.

I did a lot of searching around for air - we're taking the scenic route on the way out to get a better price :goodvibes I've got cars booked (one before and one after). I've got a few price scenarios worked out for our stay at the parks - now have to decide which way to go (basically on site or not). Have any of you stayed at Windsor Hills?

I guess I still haven't introduced us.........we're from Arizona. This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. We were on the Magic back in '99 before there even was a Wonder. We were on a West Coast Cruise last summer with a great group of DIS'rs! :thumbsup2 My DH is Alan (official documents say John :) ), Shane is 16, and Bryce will turn 14 May 30th (Costa Maya day if I recollect properly). Mary was kind enough to add us the website a few days ago. What a cool idea :cool1:

Bye for now.
Sherry

Sherry - have yo booked yet? There are quite a number of hotels that are a bit south of the Radisson - perhaps a google search wold help you - but unfortunatley it is Memorial Day weekend. Good Luck!

No, we updated the office laptop with a PC card and Verizon.

We needed the lap top so we can tie into our server in NY through our VPN. Now they will never know if I'm diving or working at the office. :cool1:

It was a true family sharing trip on the way to WDW this morning - Sharon and Lisa watched a movie on the DVD in the middle, Matt used the lap top and internet in the back to do homework, and I listened to XM while driving. No one talked. I can't decide if that is sad or happy?! :confused3

So, how was Everest????????????????????????????????????????????????

Juletime said:
Yeah, Poly is now booked, parked tickets etc. Done. Now all I have to do is think about mag. signes and what to pack. Almost catching up to you guys. :thumbsup2

Getting a bit nervous - have much cruise planning and packing to think about.....

I'm not Irene, but what about Yachtsman Steakhouse?

Thanks for covering for me Jim - I was out of net yesterday....

Dinner's not inside the World - WOW what do you want to eat???

One little known that we tried recently was the Mayan Grill --- (but then we are not steak eaters... so Yachtsman is not on our list of restruants we tried...)

Of course, my favourite is still Artist Point - in the Wilderness Lodge...

I'll keep checking to see if you responded to Jim..

Dancind said:
Jim, I asked Irene because I know they've tried just about every restaurant at WDW. You pretty much stick to the Steakhouse, don't you? Or did you actually get over to California Grille the time you were planning to? I know about favorites though. I'm considering just going back to CA Grille for a second night. We could have the stuff we like but didn't eat on the first night!

Stacey must be having fun, she hasn't checked in.

Not sure about who's crushing on whom these days, but Alicia is REALLY looking forward to this cruise. She thinks she's seriously boy deprived at her school, so watch out!

Thanks for asking - I was working when the question was posted.

Actually, as I said the Yachtsman is on of the few we have not tried....
California Grill is super and one of our most tried....Make sure you are there for Wishes - then you can see the Fireworks, awesome. We ate at CG in January and yes, perfect as ususal.

Another great lace s Narcoisess's - ok cannot spell that - on the water at Grand Florida - make sure you make prioroity seating - and step out on the dock for fireworks. And as I posted Mayan Grill is different -the cuisine is not want I anticipated - old world Spain - comes to mind....

Cannot wait to go again, already hungry!!!!

Never been there- except for 5 minutes to drop something off to someone in the lobby... looks nice, though!!!

Us neither - we keep meaning to go at Christmas for the ice sculptures, then we get on property and well, we are hooked!!!!
