Thought you all might like the update..........
Everyone that we spoke with today emphasized the importance of the lab work. Garry will have to repeat most of it every 1-3 months and repeat the ultrasound every 6 months. and visits with the transplant physician at least every 3 months. Could be a long road ahead!!!

Lots of rain here in the Atlanta area last night. Some minor flooding. I can't speak for Angie or Julia's area, but sounds like most of metro Atlanta is fine.

I heard about one house fire they believe might have been started by lightning. Other than that, the big news around here seems to be the amount of fatal shootings going on the past several days. What's up with that?

OK Kevin I'll splain...Hubby had his knee operated on (torn meniscus) 2 weeks ago and the last couple of nights he can't get comfortable and tosses and turns in bed and keeps me awake. That's all!!! He wishes it was something else.

Yooooo Yes!! The smell of roasting green chilis is one of the BEST smells in the world!!!


A word of caution; When peeling chilies don't rub or pick your nose!!!

The only thing that comes immediately to mind is a loose power cable. Check to make sure it is securely connected to both the back of the TiVo and whatever you have it plugged into for power (6-strip, wall, etc.) Theoretically, there could be a short in the power cable that just happens to get hit by the cat as it walks by which causes the TiVo to reboot, but that is not very likely. You could try connecting the TiVo power directly to the wall, or you could try an uninterruptable power supply (like what is available for computers as a battery-backup kind of thing...available at best buy). Those power supply things can be kind of expensive tho.

Maybe your cat wants the TiVo to record something else??

Green chile is generally roasted, peeled, and then chopped. Then it can be put on pretty much anything you can think of...pizza, eggs, burgers, potatoes, pasta sauce, chicken, etc. You can also make it into a sauce for enchiladas and burritos. Green chile sauce would be similar to salsa, but maybe not as chunky? It is hard to describe...the local grocery stores have huge sections devoted to chile and salsa around here. Even Costco carries at least 6 different kinds of chile and salsa!

The heat can vary depending on the batch of chile, so it can be hotter than jalepenos at times. Maybe a jar of the green stuff will find its way onto the ship...

Thanks for the advice on both ends. Will check into the Tivo thing. It's hard now with glasses....my head JUST fits between the wall and the entertainment system and I can't turn it either way. If I just LOOK towards the Tivo, I can't see it b/c my glasses aren't in line and I'm not focusing through my lenses!!!! Maybe I"ll have to put my contacts back in to fix the Tivo!!

Hmmmm.....Maybe I'll have to look for some recipes that have green chiles in them. As I've gotten older (older, not OLD) I've liked things spicier and spicier. Must be my tastebuds going bad!

Green Chile is roasted and peeled...yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I can still remember when my mom and her ma would get a bushel of green chile and spend the whole day roasting them and nothing better in the whole work than the smell that filled the kitchen on that day. I remember as a kid, getting a fresh green chile throwing it on the stove (woodstove with iron stove top) roasting it, and peeling it and throwing it on a fresh tortilla with some salt...OK no fair now I want some

I love those childhood memories when life was innocent and as simple as throwing a roasted chile onto a tortilla!!!
