I will not!!! I know the kids don' know yet. I won't ruin the surprise.

I know you wouldn't... it's just Jim being that stick pokey guy again...

I am amazed you have been able to keep it a secret this long.
I am too... I think the only reason that I've been able to is because I can come HERE and 'talk' about it all I want. Ray doesn't want to hear anything about it yet either... so its easy for him to keep it quiet. He won't get excited about it til after Bike Week, when his headaches are over for a little while.

I hope their reaction lives up to your expectations. Lisa's did not a few years ago when we did this. I wrapped a large box with a giant Minnie, Lanyards, Mugs, Navigators, and a sign that said "Come Visit Me". She opened it up and had a blank look on her face - "What???" We had to explain to her that we were going on a cruise that day and that I had packed her and we were leaving very soon. I stopped trying to surprise her after that reaction.

I am prepared for them NOT to be very excited... as much as they REALLLLLY want to go, its still a long way off, and isn't something that they can do anything with on Christmas morning.

I had shirts made through Disney Direct that say "Going on the Disney Cruise Line. May 27, 2006". They were SUPPOSED to say, "We're going on a Disney Cruise on May 27, 2006", but they wouldn't let me do that legally, then changed the wording without telling me the final outcome, and shipped them anyway. I don't have the time and energy to replace them now, so, I'm living with them the way they are. (But I'm NOT happy about it!!)

Irene sent me DCL luggage tags (thanks again Irene!), and I am wrapping up a 152-link paper chain (they always counted down the days til Christmas that way when they were little.) in a bog box, with a note that says... ummm... I don't know yet... maybe I'll just let the shirts speak for themselves.

REMEMBER THIS AT CHRISTMAS TIME

We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.
Reindeer had GPS????

I am sitting here watching Matt cook his pre-dinner snack. He is cooking a hot dog in our gas fireplace, sitting on the tile using a roasting stick. I guess living at our house is a lot like camping.

Mike and Joan provided dinner tonight. Farmers chicken stew, Mussels for Lisa, white and green asparagus, and apple pie. I just love them.

Hi All, Nick and Emmy brought me back a really neat surprise! Football Mickey antenna topper. They really had a good time. (wish I had gone!)

Nice... we all need neighbors like that! (Though my neighbor has been known to mow my lawn just because he's already out on his riding mower... can't argue with that!!)

My parents get here tomorrow to spend the next 3 months with us... that means dinner will be on the table most nights when I get home... gotta love it!

A TOP shared with good neighbors, great parents, and Scuba! pirate:

Hi Everyone,

We're here in "not so sunny Florida". It just started to rain tonight but has been cloudy the last two days.

Florida Residents I have a question for you....how far is Cape Canaveral from Port Canaveral? Is it far from eachother? We were thinking of taking a ride that way tomorrow and was wondering if the Wonder is in port tomorrow(THUR)?

TTFN,
maria

Hi Maria!

Port Canaveral and Cape Canaveral are pretty much the same town. Yes the Wonder will be in port tomorrow. If you want a nice dinner and a great chance to see it sail go to dinner at Grills. The Wonder will sail right past you!

I swear I am in Ohio where it was cold, but at least sunny today.

Winter weather is coming our way tomorrow with accumulations of 3-5 inches (on final dress rehearsal night to boot!)

Great answer from Chicago. Are you sure you don't spend more time in Florida than Chicago?

I'm off to South Florida this morning. Down and back today without any tanks or gear in the car. Sad. :confused3

I feel your pain..

Just returned from the Keys - without gear or even the opportunity to walk on the beach - or eat good seafood -- sigh - drove down Tuesday night - along with every other resident of S. Fla., at least near the Miami Airport. Grabbed a snack and bottle of wine from the grocery store and watched Charlie Brown. Needed to get up early for an all day meeting, in the infamous windowless room. Meet the same million people on the drive back, which took 2 hours longer than the drive down. Blah.

Let's see if you all have had more fun.

Perhaps the first ever triple play at Castaway Cay. (Okay it doesn't really rhyme but it looks like it should)

And we can see that here... just head beachside... even a year later!!!

I'll take "Christmas Vacation" over "It's A Wonderful Life" anyday... it sure is a whole lot more fitting!!! My family all gets along, but the whole 'Christmas preparation' that Clark goes through is what gets me!!!! Now THAT hits close to home!!!!

Tie these two together and you have our neighborhood this year :rotfl2:

Looks strange but at least the neighbors have the holiday spirit. Christmas lights you cannot see for the mile high piles of debris in the way :rotfl2:

Just noticed that I got my 1000th post in yesterday! Too bad I didn't have anything interesting to say on a momentous occasion.

REMEMBER THIS AT CHRISTMAS TIME
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.

Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

Cute, can I steal this?

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Thursday!

Yeah - I'm on vacation! We leave later this afternoon for Disneyland! Of course snow is also coming this way. Hopefully it won't mess us up.
