Good morning all! Another chilly start to our day. Although I shouldn't complain. A college friend called yesterday to tell me that I have no right to complain. She now lives in MI and their high yesterday was 28! NO THANKS!!!

Congrats to Matt on the science fair project!!!

Mark & Mary, have a great time on your trip.

Angie

Just noticed that I got my 1000th post in yesterday! Too bad I didn't have anything interesting to say on a momentous occasion.

You sure do now how to show a guy a good time.

I got to do school pick up when I was there. Guess Virgil was the lucky one because he got two cheerleaders.
I've always wondered why the noise generated from more than one teenage girl was at LEAST twice the volume of girls??? Must be advanced physics..... :rotfl2:

Sorry about the delay in our RSVP, but we will be there on Saturday night.

Sharon will be the one with her Disney Cruise Shirt and lanyard on.

Hey, as long as she doesn't tell my kids that THEY'RE going on the cruise with her, I don't care what she wears!!!!!

:rotfl: That would be the perfect project for Matt!! Heaven knows, he's had to endure enough of it. What he would probably like to do, is find a way to make them stop.

Hi everyone. I can't believe we leave for Disney in 10 days. I am so not ready, still trying to wrap gifts, get the house ready, and workkkkkkkkk! Oh well, hope everyone is having lots of fun.

I can see the topic of the project "Comparing & contrasting methods to silence a female. Do any work?"

If he found the answer to this the boy could retire next year a rich man. :rotfl:

It's been a while since I've stirred the pot.

....Are there many options in the kids clubs that combine the age groups? At cruise time we will have DD8, DD7 and DS4. DD8 has said on many occasions since our last Disney cruise that she doesn't want to do the kids clubs or only wants to be with her sister there.
Thanks

The age groups have tended to break at 5-7 in the Club with the 8-9 in the Lab. I am not aware they ever combine those two groups. Your best bet would be if the 8 year old does not want to leave the 7 year old, to see about moving one or the other up or down. You would probably have better luck moving the 7 to 8/9 rather than the 8 down to 5-7 (too large an age difference).

So what are the options if we don't go to Cozumel?

I don't know what the options will be, but if you are not into water sports, there isn't going to be much in Cozumel to do (IMHO). We were there over Thanksgiving and the land is devastated. The only shopping I saw on our taxi ride to the power boats were "Flea Market" type set ups. The infra structure was gone. It building looked like they were "under construction". I have to believe it will be some time before this city is going to recover. I hope I am surprised.

I will not!!! I know the kids don' know yet. I won't ruin the surprise. I am amazed you have been able to keep it a secret this long. I hope their reaction lives up to your expectations. Lisa's did not a few years ago when we did this. I wrapped a large box with a giant Minnie, Lanyards, Mugs, Navigators, and a sign that said "Come Visit Me". She opened it up and had a blank look on her face - "What???" We had to explain to her that we were going on a cruise that day and that I had packed her and we were leaving very soon. I stopped trying to surprise her after that reaction.

No, it's not better in FL. It actually is worse for Matt because we will do a quick set up on a Friday night and than we just drop him off on Saturday morning. We come back in the afternoon for the awards. He spends the day sitting in a folding chair doing homework.

His choice!

And, with our usual luck, that will be the weekend that Lisa competes at Disney's Wide World of Sports and we will be in the usual "Divided Parent" routine.

Now there's a science project for Matt next year - I am sure he would enjoy the research.

On the other hand, KT kicks and screams and cries and shakes her head and laughs and smiles and cries some more. --and that's all in the first 10 seconds!

But then again "drama queen" is her middle name!

We didn't get much reaction when we wrapped a WDW trip (in four days) for Christmas in 2001. Maybe because she had just been there four months before? But since your kids have never been on a cruise, Kiki, you should have some gratification.

Stacey, you should post your reindeer story here! Just leave out the bad word.

Sorry...I meant to delete that before I sent it to you.

I can never surprise anybody with anything. Yet another reason I don't play poker.

REMEMBER THIS AT CHRISTMAS TIME
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.

Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

Hey, I thought it was pretty funny with the bad word! Just don't want you to get in trouble with the mods.
