arent there better snorkeling spots on CostaMaya or cozumel than at CC. We had a blast snorkeling while in Curacao on the repo cruise

I still want to go snorkeling in Cozumel. No one else has said anything, or it got lost in all these posts. OK, I'm keeping track now. Who wants to go snorkeling in Cozumel? And should we go to Chakanaab or somewhere else?

I'm trying to keep up with this site, but I can't. If I miss one day, I come back and I'm 10 pages behind. It's overwhelming. I want to make sure we find out all we can about excursions and stuff, so we can be involved.

Our kids will find out about the cruise in December, so I hope to get them hooked up with some other "Lab kids". I'll use them to help us keep in touch better.

We're up for snorkeling - I"ll have to check with the dh - he isn't focusing on anything but school work for the time being...

Of course, as I post, he's on his lap top running a "lemonade stand" type simulation for his operations class...

I am looking for ideas. I was thinking something small and easy enough to put in, say a padded mailer, (easy to mail) maybe a pot holder exchange?? Suited or themed to the person you are sending to? LOL Or something like that....socks?dishtowel?earrings???ideas?

One more thing, please...When can we book our excursions and do we have to have to be paid in full?

I found out the paid in full question today when I tried to book for my January cruise. So I had to quickly pay the balance online (ouch) in order to book Palo. I had hoped to hold onto my money for just a few more days!!

Timing wise, I think it's 90 days for castaway club, 75 for new cruisers. Is it 100 for concierge?

I don't know - he might loose some manufacturing plant or something - the 6 team members have to monitor and make changes at various times 24/7 for the next week...they're each taking shifts...

On our cruise - if you see two people passing a laptop back and forth, that'll probably be us talking...we'll have forgotten what it's like to actually talk instead of type...

we had a strong current while in Curacao, but dom and I had a blast. She rode on my back and just was a singing.. a song from Nemo. Just keep swimming, swimming swimming. it was a hard time swimming while listening to her sing

Where did they take you snorkeling in Curacao? We spent ten days there a couple of years ago....lots of spots to snorkel, but it isn't at all a tropical island, is it??

I didn't pick the ship....but it's the Caribbean Princess, their newest at one year old. Looks nice...but not Disney. The ship on the outside is kind of ugly looking.
And, thanks, by the way....the first time I used the public potty on the Wonder, I was scared silly at how small those stalls are!! And I am seriously not skinny enough to crawl under!!

We're going to Cozumel on our "cheapie" cruise (Norwegian) in December, so that's when we'll do our snorkeling. (and hopefully not get locked into one of their bathrooms...very old ship). I'll be able to help out with info on that after we get back, and it will still leave us plenty of time to book excursions for May.

So we are doing the Tulum Ruins excursion with DCL, Mary and a few others.

We had talked about filling one of the boats on Castaway Cay that does the Seahorse Snorkel with all of us.....and making everyone who doesn't DIS mad at us again! (Think Pirate Ship) LOL

And for Costa Maya....we've tossed around the idea of simply taking a cab to Mahajual and planting ourselves on the beach and snorkeling from there....or maybe grabbing a snorkel boat when we get off the ship....I've read there are going to be plenty of them...and cheaper than an organized excursion...but, we still want to wait and see what DCL is going to offer. Could be something good!
