Guess I better put one in the mail.

Don't know where my head has been. I've been thinking about Father's Day for DH but COMPLETELY forgot about sending a card to my own dad!!! Guess I better go get one this morning & drop it by the post office before heading in to work.

Hope everyone has a great day. Weather has been warm here but a small front will cool us off to the low 80s with lower humidity ... my kind of weather! :teeth:

That is what we are here for, holiday reminders, birthday reminders, anniversary reminders.......And who says we are all about fluff? :dancer:

I actually spent the evening reading a book instead of the boards. OK, well maybe I did catch up before picking up my book. Got the new Janet Evanovich book "Eleven on Top". It's not on the shelves until the 21st. One of the perks of working at a library. My boss said she didn't mind as long as I had it done by the 21st. I'll have it done by the end of the day (my day off today) instead of doing laundry, housecleaning, posting on the boards. OK, so after I post on the boards...

Mary, glad to hear that you enjoyed your eggs. We only have about 7 dozen in our refrig. right now. I'll have to start giving them away on the street corners to get rid of them. Actually I'll take them to church where the noodle-making ladies will use them up, hopefully.

With all of the talk of anniversaries lately, I thought I'd chime in on the fluff. DH & I will be celebrating 10 years in Oct 2007. Maybe we should consider taking a vacation without the kids considering the only real vacations we've ever had without the kids were our delayed honeymoon to San Fran & wine country the summer after we were married then a quick weekend trip to HHI for our one-year anniv. Since we've had kids the only time we've ever gotten away was 1 night this past Christmas for MIL's wedding. I can also count on 1 hand the number of "dates" we've had since the kids. Ok ... enough whining!

Oh now THAT is a shame!! You should set that as your goal to pass OhioMickey!

I'll be in Richmond/Lexington KY next weekend. Is anyone going to be close by that might want a mini-meet?:Pinkbounc I know that isn't close to where anyone lives, but just in case anyone will be in the area...

Anyone notice the juxtaposition of these two posts??
"I have a ton of eggs to get rid of"
"Anyone want to meet me in KY?" ;)

She'll sweeten the deal with eggs!!!

Just wishing I was close to Richmond/Lexington.

DH and I are in the same situation. It was great when DDs were still at home and would babysit, but they both moved out some time ago (they are 27 and 24, now). We had more 'date' time on our cruise last year than we'd had for the last 6 years. We encouraged DS to spend as much time in the lab as possible;) and have already told him he doesn't even have to come to dinner with us every night if he doesn't want to.

Darn right I will. I'm staying with DD for the weekend, and you'd better believe that she and DBF are going to be eating eggs for a month.:earseek:

And a T.O.P.!

Good Morning All!

Thought I'd log on before heading off to the National Archives, and catch up a bit, yeah right ;) Geez, tons of pages since yesterday a.m. - Won't ask for the cliff notes version yet. With this group and all of the serious topics being discussed  - I'd never find it when I logged back on... :teeth:

I'd better start thinking of something profound for post 200 which is coming up quickly for me.

I thought I'd have an hour or two of peace and quiet after DH left for work and before DS got up. Well, that lasted for about 20 minutes. Why is it the kids can't sleep late during the summer, but you can't get them up on a school day?:confused3

Wow, #7777. Does that mean this is my lucky day?

Looks like a lucky post to me and right after a top as well!

That's right - you started the thread and then disappeared. We sure were glad when you came back!

Well, I'm off to do some laundry in between reading my book. Hope everyone has a great day.
