I read a sad post on the main board. A family tried to find the DIS meet for their sailing and never did. Someone posted back that they had met, but it wasn't any big deal. Pretty much "Hi, I'm _____ and my screen name is _____, I hope you have a nice cruise"

I know we were spoiled by the great group on the Christmas Cruise, but the above scenario seems so sad - no buttons, no shirts, no linking of dining, etc

OK... I've lost track... who else is going to be in WDW at the beginning of June - I know it's several here in our cozy little asylum... we'll be there 6/2-6/5 9 (and just realized that that's also the 'red shirt weekend'... oh well.)

Just trying to figure out who else will be there... we will probably end up telling the kids abut the cruise that weekend.

BTW... that award isn't just for Jim & Stacey... everyone is fair game!!!

Maria - I'm so sorry. Should have read my post before posting it.

What I meant to say was the names under the logo. i thought you had said in an earlier post about the front logo have crossed scoops and our names could be on the scoops. Just wondering if it would be easier to have the scoops logo the same for everyone and then our names under it. Does that make more sense? I sure hope so!

That is sad. The first cruise we tried to go to a DIS meet at (someone else organized it) only the organizer, one other couple and us turned up. The whole thing lasted maybe 10 minutes.

That's why when we did our next one (the first DVC cruise) Mark wanted to do something more and the buttons were born.

The 10 day cruise was an exceptional group and I think the double scoop group will be as well!

Ok guys. My last check in before we take off. Flight leaves tonight at 9:25, but we're hitting Easton for bumming around and dinner before we go. After all, no need to hang around boring LONDON!!!

Kikipug, we will be at WDW the beginning of June. The night of 6/2 at OKW, and 6/3 at AKL. Either day or night would be good for a meet for us, we have relatives arriving late on the 3rd. That is, unless my family takes off to Ginnie Springs with the Scubas one of those days.

Mary, OK that makes more sense to me. Sure, I think the names under the logo(scoops) sounds good to me. Probably a hell of a lot easier, too. Now, do you think the front part should ALL be embroidered including the names and the back just a silk screen or transfer type? We don't have to go with the two ice cream scoops on the front? That was just a suggestion. My little mind at work. Where do we put the dates? Under the names? Or, on top of the ic cream scoops? I like the ice cream cone on the back with four scoops, each stop listed in each scoop starting with the bottom scoop CC, then Costa Maya, Cozumel and the top scoop CC again. We may have to go with only a four color print - both CCs being white, Costa Maya and Cozumel red or black. I know the price will go up if we pick more colors, right? I'm just putting my two cents in. Tell me what you think?

Hmm... last chili cook-off that I was in, we were stirring the pot with a canoe paddle... what kinds of looks do you think we'd get carrying one of THOSE on board!!! (I wonder if they are available in lime green???)

We could put the dates on the back.

We could do type over the ice cream cone saying something like

DIS CRUISERS DOUBLE SCOOP GROUP

Then on the bottom we could have

MAY 27 - JUNE 3 2006


Yes we would have to go with only 4 colors on the back.

I agree that I think the front looks nice embroidered and the back silk screened.

What color shirts would we want to do - I think that will help determine the best colors to use for the ice cream etc.
