T-Shirt talk......my 2 cents' worth.....

The shirts should be LIME GREEN !

Ooooooh......and the ice cream could be in Sherbet colors.....you know, to go with the lime (sherbet).......
Just a thought.........

I don't have any suggestions on the shirts, except I WANT ONE!!! I don't have a single creative gene in my body, but I do have a checkbook to purchase the wonderful shirt that you fine folks design...It's almost a year away...it's getting so close. :confused3

We are trying to make it a short day today because we are off to another pre-cruise meet. It will be nice when we get to do a pre-cruise meet with people we don't already know (KiKipug - that's aimed at you) :goodvibes

Well, it's DS birthday party too. Would hate to decide which is more important, cruise or birthday. ;)

It looks like someone could be 5000 reply/post this weekend. To bad I won't be here to help in the battle.

:flower1:Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Friday!

Those of you going to WDW this weekend have fun! Wish we could join you but we won't be there until June 18-24.

Stacey - I think Lime green would be a great shirt color, especially since it is the DIS color. What does everyone else think?

My vote is Aye for the lime and the sherbert colors! - We'll certainly be easy to spot!!! I'm getting excited!!! Let us know what the costs will be - my checkbook is ready!!!

Thank goodness I wasn't drinking anything when I read this! I pictured entering the ship's lobby with a paddle.....like that would help if the engines died!
:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Exactly why I suggested the chili-paddle... you never can be too prepared!! And just think of the looks we'd get!! ("Honey... do they know something we don't?" "I didn't read BYOPaddle on the packing do's and don'ts on DIS???")

I'm starting to wonder what the other 3 inhabitants of my own house look like... seems that we've all been running in opposite directions (like that's anything new). I'm going to have to do a pre-cruise meet with my own FAMILY pretty soon! Hmm... let's see - its off to Jacksonville for a concert tonight...:rockband: :rockband: (kids at Grampa's... yeah)... DS's :bday: party at noon tomorrow (no food or :cake: made or bought yet; black tie charity dinner tomorrow night :groom: princess: (for which I STILL have no sitter); EPCOT on Sunday:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: ... just who ARE those people who live under the same roof as me???:confused3

You're right though... we should be the easiest one's to coordinate a mini-meet with... hmm... maybe at the new gas station between our house and yours?:rotfl2:

Happy Friday!!!

- :thewave:

Yee haw! My Cubbies are in town playing the Astros - we have tickets to the entire series!!! Nosebleed seats - but, - who cares!!! I'm there!!! It'll be a family feud for sure - we're firmly spit along gender lines in our loyalties...The kids are proudly wearing their respective jerseys to school...

The kids have a 1/2 day today which I totally forgot - thankfully, I remembered before 12:15 and dismissal...

Have a great weekend and safe travel to the families meeting at Disney!!!

I almost forgot... it's Friday morning... you know what that means... karaoke!!!! Can't let a Friday pass without it- it's becoming a tradition!!!! I'll sing quietly in case some of you are still sleeping...

"Cause when the sun goes down, we'll be groovin
When the sun goes down, we'll be feelin all right
When the sun sinks down over the water
Everything gets hotter when the sun goes down"

Wish I was going to WDW with y'all. We haven't been there since October 2004. I'm still looking to do a Northeast DIS meet with anyone up North. We're not fortunate enough to live close to WDW to meet down there.

Karen - do you remember how many people live in your house? You go girl!! Man, I would be taking some serious Geritol to keep up with you. More power to you.

Monica - Have fun at the games. Good luck. At least in the nose bleed seats, you don't have to worry about anyone throwing beer on you.

I would go with Lime Green shirts. You will DEFINETLY be able to pick us out of the crowd. AND, if there's any DISers who aren't connected with us, they're gonna wish they were. For the embroidery, I wouldn't go with any light colors cause they'll just get blended in with the lime green. Maybe just a black outline of the scoops and the names underneath with the dates on top? I don't know.

Everyone have a great day. TGIF.....which in my house doesn't mean too much. Sometimes the weekends are worse than the week. I think Monica knows what I mean.

Gotta go and do some housework now.

TTFN,
Maria :flower:

From the amount of laundry and dirty dishes, it looks like there are about 17 living there... but there are only 4 toothbrushes... so I guess it would be 4. (Unless someone's not brushing... ick!)

My dad has been a die-hard Cubbie's fan all his life... even tho' I'm a Red Sox fan, I want to see the Cubs win it all in his lifetime! (Yet Mom is a Yankee fan... and she's from Massachusetts... go figure... so I know what you mean about a 'house divided' by baseball!!!) Have a great time!

How that heck is your mom a Yankee fan living in Boston? She's taking her life in her hands!!!! :earseek: A woman I work with is originally from Boston but obviously lives in NY and when she goes back to visit family her car has NY license plates and she catches hell everytime she goes. It's a great rivalry. We're going to Toronto this August to see the Yanks play the Blue Jays. That should be good since Toronto is in 1st place right now.

TTFN,
Maria

I just had to call my dad to gloat - our tickets were $5/Adults and $1/kids per game - for $12/game I don't mind nosebleed - there really isn't a bad seat in the house...He has to travel to Milwaukee to see the Cubs - because tix are so hard to get - and much more expensive...For as nice as Minute Maid Park is - There is no better place to be than Wrigley in the summer...(I might agree to Fenway - if the Cubs were playing...These new ballparks just aren't the same as the classics...)

It's gonna be a great game - Roger Clements vs Greg Maddux...

o.k. better get ready to go to work - don't feel too sorry for me - All I have to do is throw on a swim suit...Don't need to bother with the shower, etc...

She's from MA, but moved to CT at 18... CT is split between Yankee fans, Mets fans, and Sox fans, so she blends right in. Dad has lived in CT all is life, yet he's STILL a Cubs fan... go figure.

O.K. Karen, it's going to bother me all day - can't place the song...

No need to sing quietly - It's FRIDAY!!![/COLOR]

Makes me want to Shout
Clap Hands and Shout
Throw my head back and Shout!!!

Kenny Chesney & Uncle Kracker... "When the Sun Goes Down"... (going to see them in concert tonight... can't beat free tix!) My musical tastes run from Ol' Blue Eyes to Aerosmith to Buffet to everything in between... I could break into any NUMBER of songs!!!

Hey... you sang that song last week... no singing the same song 2 weeks in a row... you're DQ'ed...

We are. The big question will be - are there any (many) teens at early seating? Matt might just have to see if there are any extra seats. He is very "proud" to say he never saw a show on the 10 day cruise, but he did eat dinner twice each night!
\

My son will be almost 16 when we cruise and we have early seating

:p not quite - last week, I sang "Oh what a beautiful Morning" - I did repeat myself, I think I sang it two weeks ago...

I never saw a show on the 10-night either, and though I didn't eat twice, I sure felt like I did!

Maria, you're right about the lettering on the shirts, it would definitely need to be a darker color.....

But of course.......Lime Green.....official color of the DIS !!! :disrocks:

There really isn't a whole lot of difference here between the weekends and the weekdays.....all are packed full.
We haven't been to a D-Backs game yet, and it's starting to get to me......I want to go...I NEED to go........:cheer2:
