I'm going to Red's today. Do you need anything else for your great Disney World Tour? He let's me borrow stuff, in fact I am trying to get him to join us.

Just curious - is Red's the dive shop in the same strip mall as the Publix?

Hmm... if I get a 42-footer from work, we can take everything, AND keep the Banfi cold... bet they'd let us RIGHT on once we pull up with that big ol' Budweiser truck!!!!

(If only I had my CDL... oh wait- that's Memorial Day week... lots of beer to deliver... no spare trucks... oh well...)

Starting w/ a new tradition - Spain has the "Running of the Bulls" - DCL - "Running of the DIS'ers..."

Then of course there's the DIS relay - who can get their palo and spa ressies, kids checked in and then the bonus points " tea w/wendy" tix and hair braiding appointments - then there's the final sprint up to topsiders for the shrimp eating contest....

I did much better about the "DIS Relay" at Christmas
Palo & Spa Ressies - did ahead of time through REAS
Kids Checked in - this is done in the terminal while you are waiting to board now.
Tea with Wendy - Lisa thought she was too old, so this wasn't on my "to do " list.
Hair Braiding - Had Lisa's hair braided before boarding by a friend.
Topsiders - We usually go to Parrot Cay to sit down (and then eat lots of shrimp.
You forgot - guest services to "deactivate" kids KTTW cards and apply Disney Reward Points.

You are referring to Spruce Creek Scuba. Red does contract work for them, but that is not his dive shop. Red is an independent instructor that works with many local dive shops.

good news, bad news. The Funny Bone Comedy Club at Easton is the place where they tape the episodes of Bananas (the show Taylor Mason appears on in his DVD) It's all clean comedy shows and is appropriate for kids.

Good news, they just announced the schedule.
Some bad news...Taylor Mason isn't on there.
Good news....Michael Harrison is...he was on our May '04 cruise and is HYSTERICAL--also does ventriliquism.
Bad news....he will be there Monday, June 20th....our first night of VBS!

I have a friend that will be going on a cruise (I forget what line) out of New Orleans. They'll be sailing to Grand Cayman & Cozumel. Do y'all know of good dive spots (maybe some websites she could look at)? To be honest, I thought she had given up on diving but she wants to give it another try. I told her that I'd ask here since I think y'all have gone there before.

Are you kidding? Great diving at both locations. If she hasn't been diving for awhile, remind her to take a refresher course to update her skills and familiarize herself with the equipment.
A lot of folks don't like the hassle of going off ship for reservations on any shore excursion. With diving, you can get a much better experience with fewer people on the dive boat. When there is more than a dozen or so, they always "dumb down" the dives and the group typically comes up with the ASD (air sucking dog) of the group. Personally I like to stay under as long as possible. Heck, that's why we're there anyway!!

In December of last year, my DW (Soprano) posted to this thread and remarked that she had just read all 18 pages of it. Today, I am posting here for the first time and see that it is now up to 324 pages! Amazing.

I read and occasionally post on the regular board and was asked by TiggerInNY to also post here. Greetings to our fellow cruisers. We are really looking forward to two CC days next May.

Welcome, Thomprod. 324 pages does seem daunting. I'm trying to get DH to sign on and catch up. I even created him a screen name and password and am trying to get him caught up a little.
