Happy Thursday!

Jim & Sharon - have a great time!

No Spring break for us - business as usual. Our next trip away isn't until June. We go to a wedding in TN in on the 11th and then head to WDW on the 18th. At least the planning is fun!

ok Pam, scratch that idea! :earseek: I just got a quote back for that cruise! OMGoodness! It was almost as much as our cat 6 and cat 11 cost us for 6 people this past November!!! EEK!! Maybe WDW? I used to know where and how I could get a deal at WDW but since they have changed the tickets I am sooo lost. I priced out an 8 night stay at POP April 2 thru April 10th, with base MYW tix and the total was 1695.70. That was for 6 days worth of tix. Does anyone here feel up to a challenge of seeing if they could put me together a cheaper trip? In other words, do all the work for me so I can reap the rewards? ;)

Hey Amanda,

Seems like all of the deals this year are at DL & not DW. Do you think you could find a cheap flight across country? Probably not at this short notice. I have the Disney Visa and it seems like they have some nice incentives for DL ... never been there myself.

No spring break for us. We had planned on going home to Louisiana for a long weekend but with my pending back surgery & no short term disability, I've got to save all of my vacation time & sick leave. We may not have a vacation at all this year. :sad1: I did call my parents last night to see if they want to come here. Dad is a high school principal & has Good Friday + plus week off after Easter. Hopefully they'll make the drive.

Say a prayer for us. DH has an interview tomorrow. Something just sort of fell in his lap. Someone that he worked with previously contacted him about an opening at the company she works for now. It's back here in Alpharetta so he wouldn't be making that 45 min. commute any more. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Had to share the latest "Jordanism".....our blonde. The school is having a sex ed program, and she was reading me some of the "highlights"......number two on the list, according to Jordan..... Pick Your Meat .......:rotfl2:

And of course I had to look for myself.......it said "Pick Your Mate"........as in "Choose Wisely, Grasshopper"
The first thing out of the mouth truly reflects the souls feelings> That Jordan, man is she cold.... :rotfl2:

Is she looking for a ribeye or Top Sirloin???? I would've had loads of fun with that "one" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

 What spring break?? I don't get a spring break..... Where do I get the spring break? And is it in Fort Lauderdale???

Same here... actually, we only get 3 paid holidays a year, and seeing as Christmas and New Years fall on a weekend this year, we get 1!!!!! Holidays are busy times for us, and with Bike Week and all the Spring Breakers, we sure do move a lot of beer when the rest of you are here 'spring breaking'... have fun!!

Jim - wear the Mickey tie & vest... definitely! Life is too short to be stuffy. I have to go to a "Leather & Lace Biker Bash" tomorrow night at the Museum (all in a day's work)... hmm... definitely NOT black-tie!! God knows WHAT I'm going to wear yet... depends whether the weather is good enough to take the bike or not... :moped:

FILET .......I hope!! ;)

kikipug - My brother is heading down for bike week. He goes every year. Do you work at a beer distributor or something? You peaked my curiousity with the remark about selling a lot of beer. :cool1:

Just curious,

Whew. I'm home. Nice flight home. I'm glad to be back in the sunshine. I left FL today in the rain with thick cloud cover. Landed in perfectly sunny Ohio!!! Wasn't the purpose of the trip to get AWAY from the clouds?? Backfired.

Was actually very pleased with our time at Gma Lightbulbs. We had a nice visit and I did a lot of cooking and freezing. Am glad to be home to take care of Mike now. Appointment tomorrow morning will tell us more. I'm planning eye surgery on Tuesday though.

Ready to order pizza and veg now. ;)

Hi All. Sure am glad it is Thursday. Had to take off work to go to Parent/Teacher conferences at the High School. It sure is nice to hear from all of the teachers that I have a "Great Child", of course I already knew this.:flower:

It was nice being off a little early today, but of course we still had swim practice to go to.

Everybody have a nice Friday!

Pam

Hey Stacey, What part of Arizona do you live in. I went to High School in Casa Grande and my parents home is in Queen Valley.

I won't be here on the boards this weekend. Going skiing!!! Last hoooorrraayy!!! Kids are excited. I, as usual like so many of us, have the daunting task of packing. :sad2: Got a pecan pie in the oven, making beds, doing the last minute laundry and wrapping birthday presents for my BIL who's house we're staying at. Hate to say it, but it has to be said. I'm glad you are home too. It's a perfect day here. Sunny and the mid-70's. I'm looking out the hotel roof (The Gaylord Palms has a glass dome) and don't see a cloud in the sky.

It's nice to see the sun again so I am glad you took the Ohio weather with you!:sunny:
