Sorry I missed all the fun yesterday at my expense, but glad I was able to provide a little laughter for your day.

Matt and I are on the road heading to WDW. Nothing like getting up and driving when all the bars are starting to close.

Ours took a nasty turn this afternoon. The sky almost looked like it could snow. Rain and a lot colder!

The weather is one reason I live in the southwest, don't want to have to deal with snow and ice, but it has been yucky this week. We actually had a lot of snow on the ground earlier in the week. Of course, not as much as Kevin and Diana.

It HAS been weird. Right now, the sky is a beautiful blue, but it's cold and really, really windy.
I feel bad for my parents, they thought they were going to get out of some of Nebraska's cold and come someplace warmer. It's been about the same as their temps here!! ANd even on the cruise it wasn't as warm as we might have wished.

I just read the story on the main thread about the 13 yo girl on the wonder. It sent chills down my spine. Stacey --noticed that you had seen it too. If we make a cruise in 08, Ashley will be 13. Just a reminder of how careful we need to be all the time.

I'm still more than a little curious about that incident. It could go either way....there may be more to the story that we'll never hear, like the girl got caught up in a situation that she lost control of......or.....since it was noted that there were several young men "escorted" from the ship in Nassau, maybe she was overpowered by a group.
Either way....this young girl should never have been left alone.....most likely, she was somewhere (alone) that she shouldn't have been. If she were confronted in a public space, it would have been easy for her to get away from this man (or men).

I just glanced on the main boards and saw a thread (didn't read it) about maybe the Magic coming to the West Coast again in '08. So my question is....

Would you all cruise the Mexican Riviera, if that's where the Magic will be in '08???


I would do it again for a couple of reasons......

One: It's the Magic!
Two: It would be with the Blabbermouth Group!
Three: Really close to fly to!!!!

That would be a no for us. I've been there done that years ago and Mark has no interest. I'd love to do a repo cruise through the panama canal but Mark can't that much time off work.

NO NO NO....say it isn't so!! I know...we just did the Mexican Riviera, too.....but still....there IS water, and beaches.....and Disneyland....

The one thread has the link to the LA port authority and a PDF file where it grants DCL (actually Magical Cruise Company, dba as DCL) use of the port from May-Sept. 2008. Looks like the cat is out of the bag.......

I don't know about Mexico, scuba is different there for sure. I know Kevin likes to dive off of Catalina, anyway. It costs about the same for us to fly to either coast, even though one is much closer.
