Happy Tuesday!

Busy day today. Our company's holiday party is today which means about 2-3 hours less to work. Problem is I have about 2-3 extra hours of work! The reward is this time tomorrow we'll be at the airport waiting for our flight!

Does Jerry have explosives in his yard??

Our circle looks like the Griswolds moved in... FPL must be VERY happy with our neighborhood. We definitely have the 'minimalist' house on the street... classic white lights (not icicles) and an ice-cube snowman under our palm tree.

Our next door neighbors always put their 3 inflatables (ick) in the space between their house and ours... I want to put a sign up in our driveway with an arrow pointing to them that says "THESE ARE NOT OURS!!!" :rotfl2:

Our decorations are already up.....nothing. We are gone pretty much every weekend in December so no reason for decorations. We like driving the neighborhood and enjoying everyone elses.

I especially like it when they are putting them up or taking them down. Makes me remember why I don't do it! :rotfl2:
I don't mind putting up exterior lights, (need to do that soon!) but I always wonder where folks store all that "stuff" during the rest of the year...... :sad2:

In the rafters of the garage.........

Hi folks - busy-busy and late, late late these past few mornings. :happytv:

KikiKaren, I think of you everytime I see the giant inflatables in the yards. I know how much you love them. :rotfl2:

Mary, thanks for posting each morning and also, can you come and put the garland on our tree so it looks like delicately draped snow. What does a Florida gal know about snow....(I tried 3 times last night - it is staying, at this point). :thumbsup2

Stacey - the attic - we have tons of Christmas decorations, thanks for the generosity of many a friend in past years. :)

Maria - thanks for the update - A day on a cruise is better than a day in the office, but I would rather be on the Magic/Wonder.... :boat:

Jim, you are more than welcome, we had fun as well....Glad I did not have to feed Matt - By the way - was homework accomplished? :teeth:

ok - so, I've been good, thus, I must say it "Go Gators".....(but in all honestly, I would be surprised if the only lost by 14 points.....)

Memo to parents, do not let kids play with hot glue guns...they are called that for a reason, and I know......The Angel that goes on top of the tree burnt herself out last year. Did I remember? noooooo. So Sunday night I am putting the lights on the tree, when her lights crumble in my hand...with the socket plugged in...(another note to parents...not a good idea to let the kids play with Angles with bulbs crumbling).....So it is off the the stores for emergency repairs. After 4 stores, I cannot find any white lights but I do find a cheap Angel with the same lite base. I come home, tear her from her sockets and stick mine on, with hot glue....ouch...that was my tender flesh getting in the way.....but the end product is complete...And I felt so sorry for the poor little one that was ravaged, she is now overlooking the critters tree.....stuck on a bottle... :rolleyes1

Stacey - Sam mailed the first batch of presents to England today...guess that lets you out! :p

Hey Jim, did you or Sharon fill out the on-line forms....I forgot. :confused3

Later.... :wave2:

Gosh - I show up and everyone disappears.

Hey GaRRy - did you see the moon? They said it was a "winter moon" last night...

I found a really interesting link to the names of the moons -

http://www.fabandpp.org/cotm/moons.htm

Take care all -- off to go Christmas shopping with good girlfriend (not sure what we will do more of - shopping or chatting...)

I was going to lay down for a little bit late yesterday afternoon. Just closed my eyes when Jay called. He said "You have to go look at the moon!"

It was really pretty. I took a couple of pictures, but they weren't all that great. I may set up the tripod tonight, to get a shot of it coming up over the mountains.

They both TELL US that the Homework is finished. I did see Lisa "Cell City" for Science, so I know at least some of it was done. They did march in the parade I think, they went grocery shopping, cooked Sunday night dinner for us, so overall I think they did fine. YEA FOR MATT & LISA!!!!!

Yes, I did fill the forms out on-line. We got our documents yesterday, so now there are more forms to complete. But, I can do it. It just means we are that much closer to a great mini-vacation with you.

Mike our neighbor feed Matt and Lisa on Saturday night. Here is part of an email he sent me:
Well, I think they were hungry. They ate their share of crab legs, Matt ate the biggest filet, and Lisa only had a small part of her 12 oz. filet left. She wanted to take it to Molly, but Matt and I blew that off.. They loved the twice baked potato from CostCo. Bottom line, no left overs, so a good night. They did put away some food!! I did send one big potato home for Lisa as that seemed to be her favorite.

From the sounds of it....glad we sent them to the neighbors. :thumbsup2

Kiki killed the inflatables!!

After Lisa's band concert tonight (yes, she missed gym for a band concert), we drove around your circle. Your inflatables were dead. We know you did it. And yes, the rest of the circle does look like the Griswolds.

Glad it is your street and not mine. I would be ashamed not to participate. :rotfl2:

Hi Everyone,

we got a phone call from DVC letting us know they had room for us on the Member Cruise 07. Now we have to figure out if we want to spend that much $$ and points on a 4 day. I gotta check out the DVC thread for more details.

Laura... I noticed you had posted the same info but you all are not going. I wonder if M&M got the phone call?

Happy Wednesday!

Up bright and early because we're going to Disney World! Yeah!
Tina - no phone call for us because we were not allowed to enter the lottery. We are planning on trying to get on the ship by calling Saturday!

Good Morning All - Mary - you are up early - safe travels.

WDW - what a great way to start the Christmas celebration!!!!

From the sound ofit - you have great neighbors!

Our December travel documents were waiting for me when I got home last night, from shopping at the Mall. We had such a pleasant evening. Found some nice presents at ok bargins, but the saleshelp was so pleasant, the customers were nice and we left with smiles. A new shop displayed the Dept. 56 Villages al decorated for Christmas - a Disney merry-go-round, and not an inflatable in site in the small little gardens....so pretty, so festive.
Then we used a gift card I found tucked away for dinner....nice time, nice friends. And we avoided the temptations to buy extra Christmas fru-fru for ourselves, as we certainly have enough.

Now I have to turn the spare room back into a mini-department store while I sort and wrap the out-of state presents.

And the poor tree is still lacking decorations from about 7 feet down...

Enjoy the Day - later... :wave2:

Anyone want a "bad" cat!

PS - Strangely, Hedgie is being very good...Think she is waiting for Santa?

Good morning all!

Safe travels to Mark & Mary! Is FL expecting the cold front that we're getting on Thurs. night. We'll be 18 degrees Fri. morning .... brrr :cold: .

Think I'm about done with my Christmas shopping for my kids. I decided to get them each a Leapster (handheld educational game). But, since it an expensive gift, they won't be getting much. I need to figure out some little things so they won't feel like Santa slighted them. I guess we'll make the High School Musical tickets from us.

I DID NOT!!!!!

The funny thing is, they have sooooooo many lights on their house, and Mike complained the whole time putting them up, yet they are never home to turn them on... and they aren't on timers. I think that's what I hate most about inflatables... how awful they look when they are lying dead on the ground. (And Tigger, across the street always looks like he's puking into the bushes when he's inflated...) I think I'm too picky about Disney, too... they have Tigger and Mickey out front... either they should have Tigger and Pooh, or Mickey and Minnie...

HEY... I participate... single strand white lights on the house, a fully decorated (not just lights) tree on the porch, illuminated snowflakes in the palm tree, and a snowman standing guard out front. Understated... yea... that's me... understated... :rotfl2:

Heading off to the dentist, as I can't ignore the toothache that woke me up this morning... what fun. (And this one already has a crown... sounds like it will be major excavation...)
