I've already had about as much fun as I can stand for one day, and it's not yet 10:30 a.m.

Megan called. Her roommate borrowed her car this morning and got stopped by the cops. They thought he stole the car. When Megan's old car was totalled after her accident last winter, she bought the new (used) car, but put her old plates on it! She's been driving all this time with the wrong plates! So now Trevin is in jail, they don't have money for bail........and I'm going to run away.
How have I managed to live my entire life without all the drama that my one child seems to constantly attract????

Oh my - I will keep reading and hope all is well....

Sharon and I are home back from South Florida. The house is still standing. Both children are alive and cooking dinner.

Ran a marathon this morning and the heat was bad. 85 degrees is not something you want to run in, but I finished with 2 of my group.

Great weekend because we got a mini-DIS meet in. I'll post more details tomorrow.

FYI - cool front on it's way!!!!!

Lots to do at work today and tomorrow, but then we get to go play at WDW!

You're going to have so much fun!!!

I last heard from Megan (oldest daughter) at 8 pm last night, and they were still scrambling for the money to bail Trevin out of jail. I still haven't gotten the whole story, but apparently they couldn't use a bondsman, it had to be cash.....and NO I was not going to give them the money. Time for them all to be responsible. The story I'm getting is that the tags/registration on Megan's plates were expired, and that's why Trevin was pulled over. Well, yeah...the tags were for a car that was totaled last January....I'm betting they were expired! If she had a brain, she'd be dangerous. The sad thing is, she IS very smart. One of those who's book-smart, but has absolutely no common sense........

How wonderful, and no fair making me cry on on Monday Morning... :cloud9:

Sorry..... I told Garry that I didn't want to sail away without him again! That was not fun at all in May.

Just looked at my countdown timer........twenty days! Yikes. And only 11 days til my Mom and Dad get here. I guess I should decide what I'm going to wear on the cruise. This one has kind of snuck up on me.

At least the next one won't sneak up on me........the next one is OUR Blabbermouth cruise!
Got some time yet for that one

Hey, I can follow the logic on this one! Megan is YOUR daughter....it's Megan's fault that Trevin got arrested....therefore it's your responsibility to bail him out! How am I doing?

Getting ready, here. We have a book smart one too. Though she seems to be doing a little better on the common sense stuff. I have hope anyway. Kevin is pretty sure that's his contribution kicking in.

I was all ready to finish up my Ebay stuff before our trip. Get some last listings done, ship a bunch of stuff that needs to go out TODAY. Except Kevin got that new computer, and now I can't print USPS labels on his laser printer. Can't download the Java script it needs. Kevin is coming home soon to help. EMERGENCY!

I guess I could do it the old fashioned way, write out the labels, take them to the Post Office. NOOOOOOOO!!! Do you know what the lines are like today?

You are 100% correct...that WAS Megan's thinking. She's right about the first part, it IS her fault. But that doesn't mean I'm the one who should continue to pay for her mistakes.

I have a cousin and a nephew who are also incredibly book smart but so incredibly stupid that it isn't even funny. The only funny part is that both my aunt and my brother (the parents) are really smart, and never thought that their kids would do such stupid things. Ha ha ha. At least I never said "My kids will never do that". I just thought if one was going to be a dingbat, it would be the blonde!

I was looking at your things last night. I LOVE the XL black (is it crepe?) dress that you have listed! And the Piglet, but he's out of my price range.

OH....and GREAT pictures, Kevin!!

WOW... its been more than 12 hours since they announced the BCS pairing, and not a word about it from anyone here... what a surprise!!!!! (Although OM is in WDW right now...I hope she's wearing head to toe OSU garb!!!!)

Not an OSU fan, but, I'll root for them 100% cause there's no way in he**(... or in FL...) that I'd EVER cheer on that OTHER team that got in by sheer luck.
It's not worth the effert! Go Blue!........I ment to say go Buckeyes!(cough ...cough... I can't beleive I said that.:rotfl: )

I have a 24 year old niece who is exactly the same way... unfortunately, she is a kindergarten teacher... I can only hope her students are learning common sense from their parents, cause they sure aren't learning it at school!!!!!! :teacher:

OK - here we go again, Virgil! Your Mountaineers against another Georgia team -- this time, my son, Eric's college - Georgia Tech!!!

I have no doubt that WV will win this one - although I was wrong last year when I was sure UGA would win!!! :rotfl:

Hey everyone,

It's me with a live post from the SS Carnival Sensation just departing Freeport, Bahamas. NOW I can appreciate when people say, "Once you cruise DCL, you'll never want to cruise another line again. It is a smaller ship, but not anyway NEAR the cleanliness, organization, or just plain FUN as the Magic. The Wonder was in port with us on Sunday and I almost jumped ship and swam over to her. I surely appreciate the non-stop cleaning, etc. that was present while cruising on the Magic. Don't get me wrong, we're having a great time but our DIS friends aren't here. All the color schemes are from the 1980's. This ship was supposedly refurbished in 2006 and frankly, I can't figure out what was done.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in with you guys and let you know how BAD I want to get back on the Magic. WHEN are those 2008 dates going to be released?

I'll check back with you later.

TTFN

Hi Maria!! I'm glad you checked in. I guess you have to try different things to know for sure, huh? We've been pretty happy with our non-DCL cruises, but I had to remind myself the whole time leading up to them and during, that it wasn't going to be like Disney.

I'm not sure I would ever like Carnival, though....and you may have just cemented that thought.

Hi Maria, just look at it this way, any cruise sailing is better than being just at home hanging out. :)

At least it's a sailing out of Port Canaveral.

The Sensation has the same itinerary as the Wonder, 3/4 days to Nassau, it's a middle aged ship, delivered to Carnival in 1993. It has a passenger capacity of just a shade over 2,000. Gross tonnage, 70,000 The one thing I cannot find are good tech specs to say if it has an important addition - stabilizers. The technology appeared in the 90's but I'm not sure when.

To give you a comparison, the Magic was built in 1998 and has a capacity of 2,400 passengers, tonnage 83,300.

So for the Sensation to seem that much more dated is all in the ship design and how agressive or the lack therov when it's been in drydock.

I hope the lack of chatting means that everyone is out having a good time, or maybe decorating their trees, or wrapping presents.....do you need my address?

I was just about to go out and do my morning run, but it is 43 degrees. I don't run in anything under 50 degrees so that gives me time to DIS! :cool1:

Sharon and I had the priviledge of staying with Sam and Irene last weekend and we had a great time. Great food, nice fire on the deck Saturday night with a glass of Port, and lots of animals. Everyone in my running group was jealous as they were staying in corporate hotels.

We even got to experience their favorite Irish pub on Sunday after the run. :cool1: :cool1: That is worth a double cool guy.

Just another example of DIS friends and how great they are!!!! Thanks guys.

Our decorations are already up.....nothing. We are gone pretty much every weekend in December so no reason for decorations. We like driving the neighborhood and enjoying everyone elses.

I especially like it when they are putting them up or taking them down. Makes me remember why I don't do it! :rotfl2:
