Just dawned on me that I'll have to work around this stupid hand for Thanksgiving. Guess some of my family members will learn how to stuff a turkey....and time all the food to be ready at the same time!

Guess it's time to see what you learned in that "Delagation class" you took....... :rolleyes1

Have fun!! Heard the water and viz are pretty good in Jupiter this weekend!

Chicken Farmer Pun - you can hit me later......

John ran a fertilized egg business. He had hundreds of pullets and eight or 10 roosters. The farmer kept records so he could replace underperforming roosters. He attached bells to them so he could tell which roosters were performing. The farmer's favorite rooster was Butch. But John noticed Butch's bell hadn't rung at all! So he investigated. The pullets would hide when they heard the roosters coming. Butch had his bell in his beak so it couldn't ring. That allowed him to sneak up on the pullets. John entered him in the county fair. He won the "No Bell Prize" and the "Pulletsurprise!"

Yeah...uh huh.....you KNOW how well that works with teens. So far, the only HAPPY help I've gotten is Jordan driving me around and writing some checks for me. But dishes, cooking and laundry?? Forget it. Jay has been picking up dinner every night.

I think I'll be ordering Thanksgiving dinner from the store.

Two miracles happened this morning.

First miracle, Sharon got out of bed at 6am and went to a 15K with Matt and I. Lisa stayed in Orlando last night because there is gym this morning (of course) and a birthday party this afternoon. Sharon could have slept in, but decided to get up to watch the 15K. At least it was on the beach and provided a beautiful sunrise. :goodvibes

Second miracle, Matt beat me on the 15K. He earned it all for myself. Of course I could make the case that I ran a marathon last weekend and was taking it easy today to avoid injury, but I gave it a shot. He beat most of our group, including the OSU fans, which is pretty good since this was his first 15K. I'm proud he just finished, but to finish with a good time is a miracle.

He is starting to talk about running 1/2 marathons. I guess I will need to add a little speed workouts or he will be beating me at the 1/2 pretty soon.

Do you want me to send Matt? He will cook for you. :guilty:

It may not be the best dinner you had....but it will be the most interesting! :lmao:

Maybe about being at the 12 Oak Mall for a DIS meet, but not being in Novi, MI.

I just talked to my parents and it is cold and rainy in MI. We will be leaving sunny Florida to spend Thanksgiving in Novi, MI and I sure hope it warms up!

LOL ......yeah, the mall and meeting part.

As long as I know I don't have to STAY there, I've not minded visiting family in the winter. Kind of like this DIS Meet....it's just great fun to be with people you enjoy.

Good evening all. We are here in the hotel room in Midland watching Texas no tplaying so well against KState. Ashely had one really good event today in the 100 breast. SHe is having fun and that is what counts. the kids from all the teams really are bonding with kids they don't normally swim with.

We head back home tomorrow.

Safe travels to Mark and Mary.

Stacey -- love the picture you took

Greetings all - reporting in from our hotel in Novi, MI. What a fun day. Started early as we began our trek in Cindy's day car van! Got to the hotel and Gail and John were right behind us so all three families were able to check in before heading over to the mall. How wonderful to see all our Michigan friends again! Had a good meet and then headed over to Carabbas to meet up with even more DIS friends. Then back to the hotel so the kids could swim.

We showed off our circle journals and talked about scrapbooking for a bit. Saw a number of Curt's pictures from the cruise and Disney after. Most of all we laughed and had a great time. The party is still going on but I'm beat. We're meeting up for breakfast in the morning then heading home.

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Sunday!

We'll be meeting up with everyone in just about an hour for breakfast and then we'll be on the road home. It has been a great weekend with our Member Cruise friends and made extra special by being able to share it with Garry and Vicki. I think John and Garry really hit it off at dinner!
