Love the DHS plans! I love DHS, it's one of my favorite parks! I think if you want to do TSM, get there in time for rope drop, but if you can be ok with not doing TSM on this trip, don't bother and sleep in a little! You never know, the wait times might drop throughout the day (I was there last May, and the standby time was 20 MINUTES!!! Unheard of!!!) so there's always and chance you could get on!

Here are the tentative plans for Wednesday!

MK 9am-9pm

Once again, arrive in time for rope drop
Head to Adventureland and Frontierland for:
BTMRR
Jungle Cruise
POTC

Then make our way to The Crystal Palce for breakfast with Pooh & friends!

(Last year we also had a late breakfast at CP and as soon as we walked out after eating we were able to catch the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party... hoping for the same this year)

After breakfast, we'll head over to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland for:
Space Mtn
Buzz Lightyear
TTA PeopleMover (or possibly save this for evening)
Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor
Carousel of Progress
Mickey's Philharmagic
Snow White's Scary Adventure (if it's still open)

(We plan on skipping most of Fantasyland... even though she's a newbie, Helen has said she has no interest in IASW or Dumbo. I'd like to at least see the new queue at The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. And assuming it hasn't been closed yet, I think we should at least ride SWSA since it would be Helen's one and only time to do so before that ride is gone for good!)

We'll then make our way over to Liberty Square for:
Haunted Mansion
Hall of Presidents

That's all that is on our list of "must-see"s! Of course we will work in watching the afternoon parade and castle show. And we'll end the day with Wishes, of course!

Since we're having a late breakfast we don't have any lunch plans. We can grab a QS meal or snack if needed. Dinner will be QS and will pretty much just depend on what part of the park we're in. Possibly Cosmic Ray's if we're near Tomorrowland or Columbia Harbour House if we're near Frontierland.


Now, back to the attractions... I know there are quite a few that we're not doing (or may not do):

As I mentioned, we plan on skipping over most of Fantasyland. I know for sure we'll skip IASW and Dumbo... probably Peter Pan, Mad Tea Party, and the Carousel, too. Of course, this may change if Helen (and the kid inside her) sees all the rides and changes her mind about not doing them!

I'm pretty sure we'll skip Astro Orbiter and Magic Carpets as well.

Attractions that aren't on the list of "must-see" but maybe we'll do them if we have time:
Country Bear Jamboree
Swiss Family Treehouse (Mom will sit this one out, as she can't deal with heights)
Enchanted Tiki Room (this is one I've never seen!)

The attractions I know we will definitely not do:
Splash Mtn (Heather and Helen do NOT want to get wet AT ALL)
Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer's Island
Stitch's Great Escape (is there anyone who likes this?!)
Tomorrowland Speedway

So, what do you think? Are the any attractions you think we should add to our "must-see" list?

Great plans! We also have a late breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace and was feeling a bit bad about missing out on having Main Street to ourselves. However, after reading about your last experience do not feel so bad!

I do hope SWSAs is still open - I soo want to experience it as well as the new Winnie the Pooh queue.

You guys sure are skipping a lot of rides - I hope Helen's inner child comes into play and she wants to spend some time in Fantasyland before all the changes!

I can't wait to get wet on Splash Mountain but can see how it would not appeal to people as well.

I never thought about making the ADR for breakfast early enough to get in the park before it opens. Maybe that will be something to keep in mind for my family's next trip. But last year we walked out of CP and just happened to see the Street Party going by. We walked right up to the curb and watched!

Personally, I don't mind getting wet... I definitely don't want to do any water ride first thing in the morning. But it is a great way to cool off on a hot afternoon! And as my luck would have it, I am always always always the one who gets soaked the most. Oh, you should have seen me and my poor niece last year after we got off Splash! I should have warned her I was a magnet for water and that she might want to sit with someone else!

I agree with skipping IASW (I hate that ride, but may have to endure it to allow my kids to experience once with the whole family), Dumbo, Astro Orbitor & Aladdin, and Tea Cups. Cant' tolerate spinning rides either and aren't they all pretty much the same ride with a different theme. I remember Peter Pan being pretty cute, though.

Ugh, I can't stand the Astro Orbiters, I'd definitely skip them! And I love Splash Mountain, but I got drenched the last time I went on it, so next time, I'm leaving it for the end, right before we leave MK!

I think you need to do Peter Pan. And fast pass it - it takes FOREVAH to load.

I just can't do the water rides. I know they might be cooling - but with being sweaty and sticky already, I don't need my clothes any wetter or to make myself even more uncomfortable!

Great plans for MK. Peter Pan is classic, gotta do that one if the lines aren't too long and Dumbo just so you can check out the expansion progress!!! Not a fan of IASW and it was closed last summer, but I have to make the kids to that at least once, it's a rite of passage so we'll be doing it. I've already started prepping my DH, he can't stand it!

Just FYI, Columbia Harbor House seemed to close early in September last year, we were there end of August into the first few days of September and beginning of our trip we went for dinner around 5:30pm. End of our trip we tried to go and found it closed, sign said it had closed at 4:30 which we found odd. If you walk by during the day check the sign for the closing time before walking all the way over there for nothing.

And SPLASH!!!! I know getting wet from that stinky moldy water isn't nice, but the whole ride and theme is so amazing, not to be missed by a newbie! I love the ride, but hate the getting soaked part. I'm outnumbered though so I have to do it, over and over and over again.

Lol I normally (touch wood) am safe on water rides and do not get as wet but am sure that will change at Disney World! Aaw your poor niece - am sure she enjoyed the experience though and will remember it just because she got soo soaked!

If we do water rides, we tend to save them for the afternoon... preferably after lunch. Nothing worse than being wet and then going inside where it's air-conditioned! Brrrrrr!

And seriously, I get sopping soaking WET on any and all water ride. I don't know how it happens, but it does EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Last October on Splash, we had the whole boat to ourselves... my BIL and nephew in the 1st row, then SIL and my DD10, DH and DD8, with my niece and I taking the last row. We loaded, went up the 1st hill and down. As soon as we made the first turn, a boat came down the big hill and some sort of water-cannon went off at the same time! A huge wave of water came up and over... right on top of me and my niece!

It has been H-O-T this past week... temps well into the 90s (and June has just begun!! )

This was taken on our 2007 trip. We were sitting on the curb of Sunset Blvd waiting for the parade at DHS to start. There was no shade to be found anywhere, so we all had some ice cream in hopes to keep cool!

Hot here too. Was just camping last weekend and was wearing three layers of shirts, two pairs of socks, winter jacket, hat and mittens. Also wrapped in blankets, too. Hate the extreme temp changes.

I joke that we have only 2 seasons here in the South... Summer and Winter. It goes from one extreme to the other!
