4 Hot Mamas take on the World 9/2011! *UPDATE 8/31* I'm leaving TODAY!!!

Here's another photo from our Crystal Palace breakfast last October:

My oldest DD getting a big hug from Eeyore (or, as she used to call him, "Ore-eey"!)

Hopefully I'll have a photo much like this one from my upcoming trip... but with my sister in place of my DD!

A great picture of DD with Eeyore (or Ore-eey!) :rotfl:

Can't wait to eat at Crystal Palace and meet all the characters! :yay:

Just catching up with your PTR. First of all. . .

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

for passing 100 day mark! I'm a tiny bit jealous right now, I am counting down to being 100 days to go (I'm counting down to counting down )

:banana::banana::banana::banana: for the new plans, so great that you'll be able to spend at few days with your friends before the second part of your trip. Plus, few extra days at WDW :woohoo:

Yay on it being 100 days to the second part of your trip!! :dance3: :cheer2:

Not long until we can say we are in double digits and can't wait! ;)

:woohoo: on being at the 100 day mark!!! Like MissStitch I'm looking forward to getting to the 100 day mark, which will be June 20!! I think that's when I'll start my countdown chain with the kids!! :)

I've been away from the boards for a while, and haven't even been planning much, as things are so busy here this time of year with school getting ready to wind down (only 20 days left!!:cool1:) I'm trying to play catch up though!!

There are a LOT of things we've not done before as we've only been to WDW once. Some we probably still won't do, but one thing we're going to try is Thunder Mountain. I've never heard of Flights of Wonder, but will look into that to see if that's something we'd like.

Your Epcot day sounds wonderful. When we did WS, we went counter clockwise as well and when I think about our WS time there I always picture starting that way.

My favorite snack is a churro!!! I LOVE them! However, I now have a list of snacks that I have to try on this upcoming trip, so my favorite just might change!!

As with the plans I've made for our day at Epcot, these plans for DHS may change once we get closer to our trip. But here's what I have so far for Tuesday!

DHS 9am-7pm

Arrive in time for rope drop
Ride TSM, then grab FPs for later
ToT and RnRC (pretty sure this will be just me and Helen)
Voyage of the Little Mermaid (Helen really wants to see this!)
Great Movie Ride
Magic of Disney Animation

I'm hoping we can get all these done by the time we need to head over to Sci-Fi for our lunch ADR. If we have time (and there is a show scheduled), we may see Lights! Motors! Action! before lunch.

After lunch, we'll see:
Indiana Jones
Backlot Tour
L! M! A! (if we didn't get to see it before lunch)
Muppet Vision 3-D

We'll possibly try to hit ToT and RnRC again. And of course we'll fit in the FPs for TSM we got earlier.

Now, here is (yet) another dilemma:

There are quite a few attractions that we'll skip... none of us have any interest in seeing Playhouse Disney, Beauty & the Beast, AIE, or Star Tours. So we should definitely be able to do and see everything that is on our list of "wants", and probably well before closing time.

According to my guide book, the crowds should thin out in the evening since many people who have arrived early in the morning have run out of things to do by 5 p.m., and therefore leave the park. Also, there is no Fantasmic! show on this day to bring latecomers to the park or to entice people to stay. Meaning DHS should be ideal for evening touring.

Soooo... do we arrive early and get everything done by late afternoon/early evening, and possibly leave the park before closing? We'd probably grab dinner somewhere off-site then head back to the condo and relax by the pool.

Orrrrr.... do we sleep in, and arrive at DHS later in the morning and stay until the park closes?

:confused3

Since we plan on being at Epcot until closing the night before, sleeping in and getting to DHS a little later sounds appealing. This would actually be the only morning that sleeping in would be an option... we definitely need to make RDs at MK and AK in order to see and do everything we want. The only downside I see to not getting to DHS early is TSM. I'm afraid if we don't get to the park for opening, we may miss out on TSM, as none of us want to wait in any line for an hour (or more!) and all the FPs may be gone by the time we get there.

I guess we'll just have to see how we feel the night before... are we pooped from being at Epcot all day, and want to sleep in the next morning? Or will we be ready to make another early morning? :confused3

I would say to see how you feel as well. If you are willing to missing TSM, then definately sleep in. If you don't want to chance it, then it would probably be better to catch rope drop. It is the same dilemma that we are going to be in on our second day of the trip....and we'll be up late the night before due to our HDDR reservations!

I agree. :thumbsup2

We had a TP crowd level of 2 and FPs were gone before lunchtime - so we missed out on TSM this year. But we got to ride Star Tours twice, so it was worth it in the end. :goodvibes

Great DHS Plans! My vote would be to hit Rope Drop for TSMM (esp if you all want to ride it twice), however see how you feel during the trip and play it by ear. Is coming first thing and having a break during the day an option?

I can’t wait to try ToT – am still not sure if I am going to brave RnR but we shall see…

Have you guys seen B&TB or AIE before? Personally they would be on my must do list!

I would be there early - simply for TSM - and then head out early if you have everything done.

Ya'll really have no interest in Star Tours or Beauty and the Beast?? I've seen B&B - so I don't have a lot of interest in seeing it again - but with your newbie, she doesn't want to see it? And I can't wait to see the new Star Tours - and I am not even a big fan! I did make the girls watch the first one though - so at least they can see why it was such a big deal that Darth Vader rode right next to us one year - and a Stormtrooper sat right behind Madalyn and messed with her pigtails through the entire ride! Unfortunately, my camera was with my mom - who knew I would have needed it?!

I think you're both right... missing rope drop will mean missing out on TSM!

We are all in agreement that we'd rather not leave the park in the middle of the day for a break. Once we're in the park, we're in until we're done, LOL! Even on my family trips in '07 and '10 we didn't go back to the resort during the day.

I'm thinking the best thing for us to do is get there early... I really don't want to take the chance on missing TSM!

I saw B&TB back in '07, but did not see it again last year. I'm fine seeing it or not... the others don't have any interest in it. Maybe once we get there and we've done all the "must"s and we have time for a show...

As for AIE, I'm the only one of us who's ever watched American Idol... and even then, I don't watch it religiously.

Star Tours is now a flight simulator ride, correct? If so, I can't do those... they make me too queasy!

Star Tours is still a flight simulator. We were totally in love with the new version. But yes, if you suffer from motion sickness, its best to avoid it, or stock up on Bonine. :goodvibes

Even though we will not be on any DDP, we decided to have one sit-down TS meal per day. I just made our ADRs online! :woohoo:

lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe

lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

breakfast at The Crystal Palace

dinner at Boma

Although Helen is 34, she is a little kid at heart... so the idea was to go to places that were F-U-N! I've been to all of these restaurants before and really like each one.

WCC, Sci-Fi, and CP were mostly chosen for the atmosphere. I was at WCC last October and thought it was a hoot... and the Canyon Skillet was yummy! My sister loves all the Pooh characters, so CP was a no-brainer. Mom has been to Sci-Fi and gave it :thumbsup2. And Boma is my all-time favorite, so that one was my "must pick"!

What about you? What's your favorite restaurant at WDW?

I love Boma! Dinner at Boma is absolutely fantastic. It's definitely one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. Great choice! :)

I have to agree, even though it'll be value season and not too crowded, last week of August last summer TSM FP's were gone by noonish even on a Non F! day. Crazy!

Looks like there will be no Star Tours for me and Mom!

 Crazy, indeed!
