I know WDW canceled last year’s parties, understandably so. Hoping that the Disney precautions, and the vaccination trends may lead disney to bring them back this year, appropriately modified.

none of us has that crystal ball, but I’m interested in what folks’ speculation might be of their return this year. If so, when do they announce them? Thanks.

I think Disney is waiting to see what happens with the pandemic, and they have probably not decided yet.

I like to be optimistic and seeing as Disney announced the 50th anniversary celebrations will start on October 1st and last 18 months gives me some hope the Halloween and Christmas parties will come back at some capacity this year. Really hope they do as I have a trip planned for Dec 3-11 and it would be my first time going around any holiday as I usually go around the end of April and May

Ultimately, I think they will have these parties. Too much additional revenue at stake not too. I think the state of the pandemic will be much less cause for concern and most restrictions will have been lifted.

They will 100% be very cautious in announcing/selling anything too early though. I'd bet you may be looking at July/August announcement for party. Complete speculation but I've become pretty optimistic over the last 2 weeks.

I mean the parties are all about:

1. Rare Character Meet & Greets;
2. Special Parades;
3. Special Fireworks;
4. Special snacks and/or trick or treating.

Right now 3 of those 4 things are not happening at Disney.

My fingers are crossed that they will have the parties. We are planning to go in September and I was hoping to go to one of the Halloween nights.

Is anyone concerned about party decorations vs. 50th decorations? I'm wondering if the parties will be canceled because the 50th will have it's own special events, overlays, etc. I'm a huge MNSSHP fan, and I'd love to go, but I don't see how they could have the party stuff up in August or even pushed back to September, and then have it taken down for the 50th, then back up for the rest of October.

I agree with this I don't think they'll decorate for Halloween at least, especially with the 50th starting in Oct. I think they'll skip it this year and bring the Halloween party back next year

We booked a stay at Poly in October just in case it happens. If not, we may switch over to Disneyland to see Avengers Campus and try again for the Halloween party next year.

From a purely speculative standpoint - I think this year we might see an abridged version of the parties. Snacks, special cavalcades and later park hours. Maybe fireworks but no shows.

I was thinking this exact same thing. The offerings at these parties are largely focused on the above mentioned activities. All which are huge crowd draws.......I am hoping they return but I think its unlikely for Halloween.
