I'm sorry but BOG Fast Pass+ does NOT provide you with a reservation number, you simply receive a confirmation note with the number of guests and like a 30 minute arrival window. A number would make it too easy ;)

It wasn't BOG. It was La Hacienda and another place we dined at, but I can't remember which one- either Kona or Sci Fi.

How difficult is it for Disney reservations to communicate a confirmation number, along with the reservation info, to the restaurants.

Ok this may seem like a weid question, but DH is curious. With all this talk about BC getting a refurb, does anyone know when the last time YC was refurbed?

TIA

A year after the last BC refurb ... think it was 5-6 years ago. When you are as old as I am, time just flies by ... seems like yesterday.

Wood Nymph thanks so much for looking into the tea at the Ale & Compass you're the best :cheer2::hug:

Don't know the answer to your question, but

to the thread!

Thanks, it's going to be our first time at BCV (or BC/YC in general) and we're so excited!

This thread is great!!!!

When I talked to the CM's at the BOG Lunch time check in booth they were asking me if I had a number. Perhaps they were confused with the dinner time ADR numbers. This information might solve a mystery as to why I don't get a number for lunch. I wish I knew why I don't show up in the system for lunch... :confused3 Maybe it's the CM's and their confusion on how the system is supposed to work for lunch.

In any case take paper confirmation for your lunch reservation and keep a list with all your dining confirmation numbers... perhaps on your phone or access your email confirm letter to show them as proof.

I just wanted to confirm that there is no current/updated YC room map (showing which rooms are Standard, GV, LV, etc.)? I've searched through this thread, as well as other threads, but don't find one. Just making sure I haven't missed it, as I did not go page-by-page through this thread :)

Dee has the map and then the corresponding list of rooms you can use to cross check the current view. :)

We've had a great day at the BC today. The buses to MK and back were great, less than 30 minutes including wait time. We came back to a clean room and found the famous BC towel critter:

From a certain angle it looks like a shovel.

Off to the pool. :goodvibes

Happy to read your day is going so well.

I hope you enjoyed your lunch at LTT and now are enjoying the sand between your toes, a relaxing float around the lazy river, warm sunshine, Rocky bringing you a nice cold drink ... oops, please excuse my daydreaming!:beach:

Thanks so much for the informative updates.

Wood Nymph....

IF and I mean IF you have the chance, could you find the time to talk with a resort manager type and get the official scoop about the locker/shower situation at the resort?

I'm only asking that you consider doing this if you have the time and energy and the where with all to do it. I understand how busy these trips can get so it's no worry if you can't/won't fit this in.

I'd just be curious if there were any shower and changing area alternatives for the people that like to use the pool after they have checked out and before the Magical Express comes to take them away. This is something that our family does on the last day of our Beach Club trips so I am looking for answers before we go again in August.

Smoochies,

Hi Ninja Mom,

I have gotten some good information for you today. We decided to go to the quiet pool this afternoon. After we had been there a while we saw this guy in a suit checking out the workmen who were on a cherry picker fixing some water damage. He was answering questions from a resort guest about the work. I had my target. He started toward the quiet pool and I asked him if he was the manager of the BC.. He identified himself as the custodial manager and his name tag said Jamie Davis. I asked him if resort guests could use the showers at the health club and he said, sure, guests can use the showers at the health club. He went on to add that there were plans to add shower rooms to the pool area. I asked him how long before the new pool shower rooms were done and he said that they were still in the planning stages, which he said meant another six months of talking about it. But he expected it to be done in a year or two. I once again asked him if it was okay to use the showers at the health club, and he said sure. He also commented that most guests prefer to shower in their rooms, but could use the showers in the health club if they wanted to.

That is the word from Jamie Davis, custodial manager, so take it for what it's worth. Are there even showers in the health club? Maybe I need to go into the health club next.

Change of subject - we are sitting on our balcony right now, listening to the British Revolution performing in Epcot and can hear it perfectly. We are so close to Epcot it is amazing. The weather has been great and we are really enjoying our afternoon at the resort.

Eta - I have another story to add. My husband was talking to the BC greeter named Al in the lobby this morning while he waited for me to return from dropping our mugs off in the room. When I joined them Al said that my husband told him that he was waiting for his princess. I said really, my husband called me his princess? Al said yes, that what he said. Meanwhile my husband was turning all shades of red and looking a little embarrassed. After we got out the door, my husband admitted he didn't call refer to me as his princess, which is what I figured. But it didn't matter because I loved what Al did and I had a big smile on my face from all that flattery. That Al is the nicest guy. :)

Jamie is wrong ... he probably hasn't heard the news. Only guests paying for spa services are allowed to use the showers and lockers in the health club ...this started about three weeks ago.... unless this was changed again in the last five days since I've been at work. To get absolute clarification, guests need to speak with a spa manager. Since anybody can tell guests they can use the showers, etc., only way to actually know for sure is to try it or to ask someone working in the health club.

I had a feeling that Jamie hadn't 't heard about this new policy. That is why I asked him twice.

Nice guy but he doesn't deal with guests much or have interactions or know about the policies. Not his line of work.

Lily photos are adorable as always!! Love that curly hair! Teena, glad to hear about your great day at AK!

Dee, I'm not ready for the BOG list quite yet, although I was able to upgrade my May conference stay from BC standard to BC GV with the AP discount! GV was not initially available, so this is good news! CM on the phone asked me what I'm celebrating, which was funny because it's just me on my own for a work conference! Thanks to all for sending the pixie dust my way . . . just waiting to hear about my childcare arrangements and if that's a go, the conference and BC stay are a go. I would bring the kids along, but really our oldest is the only one who could supervise them while I'm at the conference and he's in tech week for the high school production that week. As some of you know, there are no absences during tech week!

P.S. The BOG lunch FP+ is awesome!!! Used it last month and have another one for later this month. I take a photo of the BOG FP+ confirmation screen on my phone so I don't have to bring along a print-out. I text it to the rest of my family in case my phone fails me for some reason.

Good work Wood Nymph! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Your next assignment, if you have the time, is to go into the fitness area and see if you can gain access to the locker area behind the gym. If you can't get past a door that might be locked, ask someone at the spa if you can use the facilities to take a shower after you visit The pool on your check out day.

Once we confirm this information from a guest we can send the resort's Manager a letter asking her to reverse this policy.

It would be best if we could say we had a friend who was denied access to this facility.

The fitness area/locker room is around Beaches and Cream and the arcade,
if that helps!
