Is the Gone Mad Party still going on at the GF? Any place to find info/schedule?

According to All Ears, the buffet at 1900 Park Fare price depends on the time of year. Is there a way I can find out the cost if I'm gong in February?

Same here :cloud9::cloud9: We have been on the fence trying to decide between Poly and GF but given the deal, we chose GF. What are your dates? We are going Aug 16 - Aug 26 and planning a less hectic trip given the hot, muggy temps of August:sunny: DH felt "robbed" our last trip to GF because he didn't get to lounge in the lobby and chill while listening to the piano or the band until our departure day. I swear the man is 47 going on 87 sometimes.....:rolleyes1
I think I'm 29 going on 87 because when we stayed at the GF I loved going to the lobby and listening to the pianist or the big band play.

I'm just here daydreaming about my favourite resort. No current plans to stay there but I need to get back soon. I was hoping to buy DVC but I would have to go resale at this point to get VGF.

I went ahead and booked Labor Day weekend! I requested Boca Chica king bed. 9/1-9/4/2017

I believe some others will also be posting for that time frame???
How fun!! And now Food and Wine will be happening when you are there!

We are starting to pack for our first trip to the GF since 1989 and I was wondering if there are clocks in the rooms. I know that Disney has taken them out of most if not all of the other resort rooms and I wanted to check to see if the GF has taken clocks out, too. I plan to pack one if the room doesn't have one.

We stayed in the main building last week....no clock in the room there :(

What no more Ipod charging station and clock? Guess I'll just have to pack those extra cords and my wireless Bose speaker.

So we're booked for our first ever GV stay early next Dec. So excited to stay here at Christmas time.....another Disney Dream to come to fruition. We are big pool/water people might spend time sitting pool side (unlikely to swim) just wondering if anyone is there now is it warm enough for shorts or not ? TIA

Some do and some don't. They did remove all the clocks from every room property wide. However, as guests have called housekeeping and requested one, they have not gone back and removed those. So if a guest who occupied the room prior to your arrival requested a clock, there will be one in your room.

While researching on the WL thread it was stated that you may request a clock for your room .....so that may be a possible option.

It is always warm enough for shorts --- It has been in the 70s some days when we've been there in the "winter" and it has also been in 40s as well. I always find it ironic to see the lifeguards standing by a portable heater, wearing fleeces and sweatpants as well as wool hats -- and I've got a pair of running shorts and a t shirt on as I just got back from a run!
