OKW is my home, but pondering exposing my new spouse to other resorts

My home resort of over ten years is Old Key West. I love the resort, and over the years I've tried a few others for various reasons (SSR for availability my first stay, BWV when I owned there, but those points were sold in 2016, and CCV because I love the Wilderness Lodge). The location of BWV is hard to beat, but I didn't like the room or building. I also didn't like my CCV room and figure I can do some resort hoping whenever I'm there instead of staying. SSR is basically OKW with more people and smaller rooms, so no need to stay there again.

While we were engaged, I took my new spouse to Disney World for the first time. We stayed in a studio at OKW, and it was great. The resort was relaxing, he liked the ambiance, and he was able to experience me in "Disney Mode," which he found surprising and intimidating. I'm now planning a second trip for us to celebrate our first anniversary. My current thought is to do a split stay between a studio at "home" and a studio elsewhere, three nights each, with room change day being a resort hopping day.

The question: where is worth the price difference for a studio (not where will be available, that will be a craps shoot)? I am grandfathered in to all resorts, so can book anywhere at 7 months. Thanks for your thoughts and perspective!

Since you love WL but not CCV I would suggest BRV but it is the same layout as BWV which you don’t care for. BCV is also the same layout so I guess that would be eliminated.

Not sure what kind of trip you are taking ie parks heavy or relaxing.

IMO I would avoid BLT & AKL as those studios are small.

VGF, PVB and RIV are all very nice but what about a 1 bedroom cabin for about the same price as a studio? The cabin is not quite WL but it does have some touches of it.

These are great ideas. @undchefreak make sure you look at those properties (youtube is great for that if the videos are recent) and see what they have to offer onsite as they are all different. The longhouse studios at Poly are a nice size and have nice views. They feature a split bathroom with 2 showers and 2 sinks, although only one toilet.
The dining options at VGF are probably the best overall of anywhere onsite.
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness offer lots of outdoor type experiences.
Many people love Riviera having everything in the same building and they have the skyliner.
I'd even add AKL if you love animals.
