SNIP!

It is his b day on Sunday and I am still searching for a way to make it special . He has nixed many ideas- illuminations cruise, driving experience ( too expensive he says) , Victoria and Alberts . Oh well. I will figure it out

Ok I have to go , relaxation is calling my name

Ahh is right!! Amen sistah!

Have you considered renting a boat for a cruise around Bay Lake (the lake at MK)? With your annual pass discount you can rent a pontoon boat and cruise Bay lake for an hour for under a hundred dollars. The boats have a shade in case it gets too sunny for you and you can bring your own lunch and non alcoholic beverages. We cruised around the Poly, Grand Floridian, passed the MK and the contemporary and went all the way past the Wilderness lodge to Fort Wilderness. It was AWESOME!!!

Wait, Couchy...you offered the Driving Experience and he said no?

I got to have a word with that boy

How about Shula's?

Awesome idea... Thanks this will probably work. I can bribe him with Starbucks afterword :)

Yeah ... He said it was too much $$$$ . I offered Shulas but he chose le cellier for the beer cheese soup and pretzel bread. Would have done the Epcot Segway tour but they aren't doing them

I believe the Marina opens at 10 am (you need to check) It's located behind the Contemporary but you can also rent at the poly and maybe the GF/Wilderness lodge. We use the Contemporary because it's easy to take the bus to MK and hoof it over to the dock. I'm not sure what time the Marina closes but a sunset cruise with a take out dinner might be really cool. Renting the boats is very relaxing after humping around the parks all day.

http://sammyduvall.com/ This link doesn't include info about the pontoon boats but you can definitely rent them at the Contemporary...

Good morning everyone . Blue skies and sunshine right now so I'm guessing the parks will be busy. Went for a wonderful run this morning . Love running around the boardwalk area :)

Right now I am in line for TSM. The park officially opens at 9 and its 8:54 and already a 25 min wait. The crowds are here

Looking forward to SAB in the afternoon
Have a wonderful day everyone
Good reminder to get there early cause they will open early, when they are expecting high crowds. Did you get a FP for TSMM too?

Just heard from Teena. Bob saw the doctor this morning.

"California Here We Come!!!"

:beach:

Sounds like he won't need the second surgery immediately- they will see him in 6 months to evaluate the blockage then.

And more good news... Bob has been given the ok to drive himself to Starbucks!!!

Teena will be joining Robyn and her family for the preview fireworks at the Dessert Party at MK tonight.

.
Great news :cool1:

I may be spending too much time here or worrying too much about my upcoming stay...

Last night, I dreamed I posted a question on here for Buzzy. I needed to know if he had been tested for West Nile Virus. Buzzy was highly offended by my post because, after all, he is a fly, not a mosquito. I was so embarrassed! Then, Dee threatened to ban me for offending Buzzy.

I woke up in a panic thinking I was banned!
:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hi Again

I just wanted to mentioned I have been using an app called WDW lines and it has been right on the money with wait times etc. it also tells you the best parks to go on what days and it has been working great for us. :)

I just renewed my subscription yesterday for Touring Plans. And Lines App! Now that all parks have wifi, I don't have to worry about roaming charges.

We did the FW Segway tour, it was awesome. Love the cheese soup & pretzel bread! We tell them not to even bother bringing the other bread :rotfl:

Drat! You people are making me hungry for Le Cellier! I am at work reading the DIS, and now have visions of pretzel bread dancing in my head! I might be forced to go eat some of my inventory in the hopes that my belly will stop growling at me.

Between talk of food and Couchy's pic of SAB, I am afraid I won't be getting much work done today.

Sue : I did get a fast pass . I rode standby and then again with a fast pass at 10:30. Crazy busy this morning. First day without clouds and rain in the am :)

Ninja mom - thanks so much for all the info. I think I can talk him into this:)

I am currently at the new bar at hurricane Hannah's . Did you know they have an exclusive bar menu. I just had the ahi tuna for lunch. They also have pork sliders. FYI: you can not get these things at the regular CS hurricane Hannah's . There is an exclusive bar menu !

This is where I currently am situated :) ahhhh
FYI : the chair game is in full effect. The hits are everywhere and leaving not just towels but personal items as well. I had to search for. Chair at 11. Found one a d moved it to my liking and have been watching all the empty chairs for over an hour. Also many people taking chairs they don't need so their stuff has a seat.

I cannot stand chair hogs! We are a family of 5, & I make a conscious effort to only have 2 chairs MAX! Usually i only take one for me to lay on. I tell my girls there is no way they need a chair! If I see people walking around, I usually offer the one other of DH isn't using it at the time. People need some consideration....sorry-bit of a rant.... :).

This is truly hysterical! Thanks for the chuckle! :rotfl2:

OH NO!!!!! Buzzy would NEVER be mad at you for asking a question! Even if you got really, really drunk and confused him for a mosquito .....

AND I could never even think of Dee banning you, she is such a softy when it comes to us BC/YC Resort lovers.

Nope.... Buzzy thinks you should get off the ledge and back in the building as NM likes to say. Lay off the Sunken Treasures right before bedtime and think good thoughts about just how fantastic your vacation is really going to be!

Namaste,
Buzzy, your peaceful and loving resort fly!

Buzzy, I had no idea you were such a peaceful person...I mean insect! My dad is right, you learn something new every day! :upsidedow

It's 9 days before we leave and I'm trying to figure out how to fly to WDW instead of driving the dreaded 18 hour drive. The flights between MDW and MCO on Southwest were ridiculous from the get go.....you used to be able to fly for less than $100 per person each way. For this family of 5, I don't mind paying $1,000 on airfare. The cheapest fare I saw was several months ago at $150 and it kept creeping up to $176. I refuse to pay $1800 for us to fly! Well, last night I discovered Allegiant flies out of South Bend, IN which is where we will be on our departure day. It would be $270 per person round trip. Yay, right? Nope, because they fly into Sanford which means we would need to rent a car. Car rental prices are crazy, too! ME doesn't pick up at Sanford....only MCO. So with flying and renting a car, it's still $1700 for our family....which is almost the same price as if we had booked it with Southwest. ARGH! :crazy2:

Why do I do this to myself? :badpc:

I'm sure this post makes no sense to anyone but me but thanks for reading my single digit pre-trip meltdown! :scared:

Okay so now you are motivating come to get up from my lounger and check out this exclusive menu. Did HH hire you to do this marketing?

And would you mind telling these lurking clouds to go away so we can finally have a full day of sun!

We too went to DHS this morning. Hit Star Tours, TSM twice, walked around One Man's Dream to be reminded of just how forward thinking Walt was (& to suck up some air conditioning), had lunch, drew Dopey in a animation class & watched the first showing of American Idol. The cutest 15 year old boy won & he was genuinely relieved to have won. Heading back in a bit for dinner at Mama Melrose & to ride R&RC and TOT and probably catch Fantasmic at 10:30 pm.

We have been coming several years now this time and crowds definitely seem lower. Crowds are still there but not if you plan right. It was 9:30 am I think when we hit new Little Mermaid ride and it we walk-on. We then Went on Barnstormer shortly after for 10 min wait. Saw line later in afternoon as we passed by on train & it was long & listed as 45 min. Feel bad for those waiting for 10 second ride!

Guess it is a trade off of shorter waits for less than ideal weather. Earlier at DHS, we were taking photos on our way out one minute in the bright sun and just a couple of minutes later the sky just opened up & poured! Not the typical 1 hour afternoon shower this trip.

What do you do with "room charge" keys while at the pool. My intent was to just take one of the kiddos cards that say how many of us are in the room that we have coded non charging.. however if we all have to have our keys I don't know where to put the keys once we are at the pool area????

Welcome to our world. :/

We'd like to fly out South Bend (live in Granger), but although Allegiant seems convenient and cheap at first, the flying to Sanford thing isn't great, even outside of the lack of DME. We always rent a car, and it feels like it takes forever to get to WDW from there! But the other even more frustrating thing about Allegiant is that it ends up being way more expensive once you choose your flight, then pay for your seat reservation, then bag costs, etc.

We're flying United for our trip in October, paying just over $300 per ticket. I've not gotten anything cheaper than that in a long time, so it's just something I grin and bear. But it's direct out of O'Hare, leaving at 6 something in the am, arriving at 10:12am, so we get a lot out of that first day. Versus Allegiant, who seems to be offering fewer and fewer options out of SB. Last I checked, flights were only leaving on Thursdays, maybe Tuesdays, in the evening, so we'd waste that first night and still have to pay for a hotel room. No thank you.

Everyone must have their own key to get in. I keep my key with my stuff at the chair. You need a pin code to charge anything to the card so u should be safe
