I think the package comes around a month before your trip. If you haven't received anything when you are 3 weeks out, you should give a call.

I believe your Disney package comes separately from the Magical Express tags, if you are using that.

Hi BC folk!

We are on our way back to BC for my actual 40th bday! I told my DH that I would be at BC for my actual bday even of it meant I'd be there by myself if I had to be. . He finally gave in...

How crowded has SAB been? How early would we have to be there to get a chair or two? Are people coming and going throughout the morning/afternoon?

I am so excited, we are going to be staying at the Yacht club from Aug 29 thru Sept 2. This will be our first time staying there, anything special I should know about it that I might not know already (we are Disney regulars, just haven't stayed at YC/BC before)

I booked it mainly because of Stormalong Bay, and my husband picked it, my favorite is Boardwalk Inn, but since his birthday is the week before, I let him pick.

Hey everyone I am in need of some help. This will be our first stay at the YC GV CL and wondered what were some of your favorite places to eat. Also, I have read about the cruise for the fireworks and also wanted to know if it was worth the extra expense I am trying to plan this trip the best I can. This trip is in celebration for my DS(12)...Thank you so much for your help

I agree with the others- Can't go wrong with Cape May.

Are you looking just for suggestions at the resort and area (Boardwalk)?

Of course, lots of great places in EPCOT in the World Showcase.

My two personal favorites at Disney are Boma (AKL) and Kona (Poly)

Thanks so much for the update. DD9 is excited now. She was already asking to get back to the resort by 8 to watch Teen Beach Movie. (Disney has been advertising it enough!) I told her we'd set our home DVR just in case, but if it's going to be on the big screen at YC, and on the beach, weather permitting, it sounds like the perfect evening at WDW!

I have a question though. The advertised TV premier for this movie is 8:00 July 19. But the Movies by the Beach are at 9:00. Now, I don't suppose the YC is just running the cable TV directly to the big screen, so they probably can just display the whole movie from a different source at 9:00. Maybe without even showing the commercials? That would be super cool. Is that what they normally do in a case like this? I do realize this is a Disney movie AT a Disney resort, so they ought to be able to do that. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure. We will be at BOG at 6:30, so I really don't want to rush back for an 8:00 movie.

Secret Entrance/Exit and FAQ Thread Organization

I'd love to know too! Being able to book our Oct trip this year with the bounce back from my May trip was such a great deal! I love saving 35%!!!! I think bounce back is the way to go for us now, and then wait to see if any AP rates come out closer to beat it. I can't wait to see next bounce back!

This is why I really appreciate all the hard work Dee does on the FAQ 1st page because it allowed me to see the current bounce back rates & dates so I could ask off this past April for my Oct trip! Thanks Dee!

You can learn a lot about the resort from the first page of this thread. Dee has done a wonderful job with her facts pages.

The most important thing you need to know about the Yacht Club and Beach Club are the secret exits from the resort to the boardwalk. There is an exit door for the Yacht Club that puts you about as close to the boat dock as you can get from the resort. BWI doesn't have any exit doors onto the boardwalk.

Can someone help, I can't find the post about secret exit to boardwalk or the secret entrance to Epcot. I must be overlooking them.

I think you guys are correct- the secret entrance/exit info is probably one of the most valuable tips here.

Please know that I do appreciate the comments, including suggestions that will help improve the way the thread looks and ease of finding the info you need.

I have made a few subtle changes to the first post in the past couple of days.

New thread watch: As many of you know, once the thread hits jumbo status at 250 pages, it gets shut down so I have to start up a new thread. Good morning everyone . Blue skies and sunshine right now so I'm guessing the parks will be busy. Went for a wonderful run this morning . Love running around the boardwalk area

Right now I am in line for TSM. The park officially opens at 9 and its 8:54 and already a 25 min wait. The crowds are here

I just had to mention I am sitting out on the Juliette balcony( actually the chair is inside my feet outside) with a cup of coffee looking at this beautiful resort. It is just so nice I can see SAB and the courtyard and beyond that the beach and The boardwalk. I keep pinching myself and feeling so grateful to be here.

You are getting me so excited!!! Might have to try BOG for lunch.

Just heard from Teena. Bob saw the doctor this morning.

Sounds like he won't need the second surgery immediately- they will see him in 6 months to evaluate the blockage then.

And more good news... Bob has been given the ok to drive himself to Starbucks!!!

Teena will be joining Robyn and her family for the preview fireworks at the Dessert Party at MK tonight.

I may be spending too much time here or worrying too much about my upcoming stay...

Last night, I dreamed I posted a question on here for Buzzy. I needed to know if he had been tested for West Nile Virus. Buzzy was highly offended by my post because, after all, he is a fly, not a mosquito. I was so embarrassed! Then, Dee threatened to ban me for offending Buzzy.

I woke up in a panic thinking I was banned!

Not sure, but these accommodations may be a once in a lifetime thing for us, though, which is one reason I didn't ask to be part of the list before. I feel a bit like the riff raff coming in to intrude on your lovely palace. But you all have been so helpful, and I've really enjoyed reading the thread. Thanks so much for maintaining these.

You don't have to worry in the least about bringing down the class level at the resort!!! It's not like royalty stays here or anything. Well, sometimes, but that was last month.

I happen to know for a fact that fellow riff-raff (my family) will be at the resort at the same time as you.

AND I could never even think of Dee banning you, she is such a softy when it comes to us BC/YC Resort lovers.

Nope.... Buzzy thinks you should get off the ledge and back in the building as NM likes to say. Lay off the Sunken Treasures right before bedtime and think good thoughts about just how fantastic your vacation is really going to be!

Ok....I'm thinking you need some major R & R. Pack a bag, head to airport, and check directly into BC. Once there, find a lounger at SAB, flag a waitress over and order a Sunken Treasure !!!!

FYI : the chair game is in full effect. The hits are everywhere and leaving not just towels but personal items as well. I had to search for. Chair at 11. Found one a d moved it to my liking and have been watching all the empty chairs for over an hour. Also many people taking chairs they don't need so their stuff has a seat.

Weather is wonderful today . Rode TSM 2x first thing when the park opened. Rode RR once .
Wil my DH is flying in and will be arriving in about 6 hours . We are going to hightail it I Ed to Via Napoli for pizza and sangria. It is his b day on Sunday and I am still searching for a way to make it special . He has nixed many ideas- illuminations cruise, driving experience ( too expensive he says) , Victoria and Alberts . Oh well. I will figure it out

Trust me as long as you don't go running 'nekked' through the lobby you're gonna be O.K.! There was this one time when Ninja Mom tried to do that but Teena saw her coming and gave her the stink eye so she had to turn around...

We've been here since June 24th and I've been shocked at how low the crowds have been too. Reading nothing but doom and gloom regarding a summer WDW trip I prepared for the worst but it has been fine...IF you come at rope drop. We've been to Magic Kingdom 4 days since we've been here and did RD on 3 of them and got so much done before everyone else comes in around 10:30-11:00. The one day we didn't do RD it was too crowded to ride anything! The only park that was crazy from the start has been Hollywood Studios. They really need to do something about that park because the logjam that is created by TSM and R&R is crazy! It was pandemonium. Speaking of RD we are headed to MK for it now!
