2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

Can we be on the list, can we, can we ?! We will be at the YC (for the first time) from Dec 3 to Dec 10. As well as being our first trip to the YC, it will be our first trip in any month other than August. We are super excited to be going at that time of year. Usually we do not like to take the DD out of school, but that week there is no school on Monday, and Wednesday is a 1/2 day, annnnd she said she wouldn't mind (usually SHE is the one who doesn't want to miss school !). And the fact that her brother is working at the world as we speak prolly had a lot to do with it ! So far we have gotten some great info from this thread. Thanx gang and have a nice day.

I like to order mine with extra fudge and extra peanut butter because I have an extra bad sweet tooth!

Drool!!! We wanted to go here, and I so would have gotten that. But B&C wasn't on our DDP list this time, and we felt STUFFED most of the time. In fact, the only thing we got during our week for snacks were water in the parks to keep hydrated. We had 18 credits at the end of trip left, and we drove to DTD and bought a bunch of stuff for the ride home.

Welcome back jmamom, coastermom, DawnMaree and buzz1121 (and anyone else I may be forgetting). Thanks for sharing your experiences. Sorry to hear there were a couple of illnesses to deal with (been there, done that, laundered the t-shirt), but glad to hear everyone made the best of it!

Hi! Long time lurker, occasional poster here.

After many resort changes, I am finally sure we are headed to the BC in two weeks

We are die-hard Poly peeps and this is our first time on the Epcot side of the world, but thanks to all the hard work and wonderful people on this thread I know we are going to have a great time!

There are 7 of us (Me, DH, our 3 DSs, our infant DD and my DM) in 2 BC-CL rooms from 9/18-9/24. We are so excited and would love to be added to the list.

I'm back on here now. I've been missing as I have been spending lots of time on with my cruise buddies over on the DIBB (a uk version of this site). Just been on my very first cruise and it was with DCL in the med. Needless to say I am down in the dumps, as I want to get back on that ship.

Can you please add our dates to the first thread. We will be at the yacht club from 08/11/11 until 08/24/11, hopefully in a nice garden view room, if my plans come to pass and if Virgin Holidays have passed on the info to Disney. Doesn't always happen.

We've stayed here before and loved it, hence we are coming back. We will be on the free disney dining plan too. Excellant value for money. Really sad though that Le Cellier is now a 2 TS meal, naughty naughty Disney, that was my fav. Going to make an effort to find some new places to try. Wasn't impressed with the 2 TS meal at the Yachtsman last time, so won't be going there again. Will give the other one at the Yacht Club a whirl though to see what that is like.

Loved seeing the pics of Tenna's little Grand Daughter, she's a sweetie.

Can anyone tell me if there are life vests available at Stormalong Bay for small children? If not - are we able to bring our own?

Wow, love hearing about the recent trips.

I've had to change my check in date so I will be arriving on the 18th instead of the 17th. Still GV BC just one day later.



I'm less than 2 weeks away and can't wait.

My birthday was last Thursday and I keep telling everyone I don't want anything (I just bought myself an Ipad and really when you hit 45 there is very little stuff that you need other people to buy you).

However I promised my mom who is going to be on the first half of my wdw trip that I would find something for her to get me at Disney....now I just have to figure out what I can tell her to buy me that is 'big' enough to satisfy her need to buy her baby a present but is small enough to satisfy my need not to have my mom spend money on me.


I am beginning to get organized and can't wait to get there and see Teena, and experience the wonders of BC (I'm moving to POFQ for a the rest of the week after checking out Wed and I'm pretty psyched about that too).

Dee if you need me to look or snap a picture of anything, I'd be glad to help. I'm not the best photographer but I'll do my best.

So excited, to be there. This thread has been the best part of planning my week in WDW. You guys rock!

Dee- I just emailed IPO and they sent me the events calendar so I emailed it to you. Wasn't sure if anyone had done it yet and you reminded me that I needed to send an email to them about our upcoming stay...almost 2 weeks away!!!
I did notice that the movie says it starts at 8:30pm not 9pm...I can't wait to make my own sundae...I'm sure the kids can't either!!!!

I am sorry to say that this part of my review will not be a good one so I appologize in advance to any Beach Club fans.

I have to say their Club Level was horrible. Very rude and cold Cast Members at check-in and the ones who work in the lounge watch over everyone until they are ready to clear the plates off the tables.

For example the Cast Member who checked us in saw we had just stayed at the Boardwalk and made a joke that their best quality is they face the Beach Club. I realize he was making a joke but we didn't think it was funny.

It was just a horrible experience that the next day on September 1st we decided to switch back to the Boardwalk Inn, which we did and got to stay in the room we previously had. So it goes without saying we are never again going to stay at the Beach Club.

Yes, you can ask for life vests at the Pool Gift Shop. As far as I know, there is no charge. I believe a recent guest borrowed some and they were able to keep the life vests/jackets for their entire stay and then just returned them before they went home.

Well, I would be pretty cranky too if someone tried to make me wait an extra year for my trip!
