My DD20 (will be 21 when we come next year) have decided to come back to the BC. We have gone back and forth over the last couple weeks, but we have decided to surprise our friends and stay here again. We were going to stay at POP. We will be there August 4-August 10th next year. Can't wait.

Glad to see you are back! I love your cute little dog picture!

Hey, just wanted to introduce myself..... SNIP
Whew, that was a long intro, sorry. We have the food plan but I was wondering if an adult can get a child's meal. I don't eat a lot and sometimes it just way too much food for me, expecially the TS meals. Also, I'm thinking of going ahead and booking my fantasmic package but can't figure out if I can do that on line. I know I can book the ADR for Brown Derby but don't see if I can specify fantasmic for that.

Nope, that wasn't too long! Welcome to the family!

Sorry but I don't know the answer to any of your questions. I will tell you that when we had the Deluxe Dining Plan (3 TS per day!) we kept in mind that we didn't have to finish everything at a table service meal. It was more of an opportunity to try different things that we ordered. We often took a bite or two and then shared it with each other. We could really be adventurous that way and try new things, things that sounded good but that we may not necessarily order if that was the big meal out for the week.

Yes there were winners and some surprising losers (cheese soup at Le Cellier :crazy2: ) but I have to tell you that in my experience the quality of food at Disney is top notch. The chefs really try with their dishes and my family thinks there is a broad range of appeal when it comes to Disney dining. Good luck and GO For it!

I can give the noodles to Heatherbabydoll on the 20th when she gets there. I will talk with sndral and see when we can do our swap:thumbsup2
Jen

I love youse guys! I was hoping when we originated the noodle swap that people would take it upon themselves to take care of business and that seems to be happening! Thank you!! :love2:

In other news Marlton Mom is back from her trip to Pittsburgh for her niece's wedding. :bride::groom: :thumbsup2 We had the chance to go to the Carnegie Science Museum and the Hoffbrauhaus restaurant in Pittsburgh. Teena's Bob would have been in heaven from the accordion player to the dirndl wearing waitresses delivering 1 liter mugs of beer. cindydare :wave2: was right when she said Pittsburgh has a lot of hidden treasures!

~ Marlton Mom... Savoring Summer and slipping into school!

We want to make sure that we can keep these guys around for as long as possible- so here are some suggestions

1) Apparently the noodles' skin is impervious to tattoos. The sharpies did not work. So, no drawing on the noodles- pictures with your familiy and the Noodles are still encouraged, though.

2) Please exchange contact info with the family you are handing off to or receiving the noodles from.

3) If for some reason the noodle handoff does not go as planned OR if you are the custodians of noodle prior to a "GAP" period, please return the noodle family to Bell Services, using the pickup name "Mrs. Noodle". Bell Services will be their default "home away from home"

4) If you are picking up the noodles from Bell Services, please tip a couple of dollars. It won't take the CMs very long to figure out what is going on or to notice that the same noodles are returning again and again, but as long as everyone is polite and generous, I don't think there will be a problem.

5) If there is a problem with your handoff or pickup, or you suspect that the noodle family may be MIA, please alert natebenma or Marlton Mom by PM ASAP. If a noodle recovery team needs to be assembled, we are on it!

Thanks, and enjoy!

Well back from a very hot but a great trip. I left the noodles at bell service under the name PAUL NOODLE, sorry I did not know it was to be left as Mrs Noodle. I have also added a smaller yellow noodle to the collection. I want to thank you for the use of the noddle, my son loved using them. I also want to thank Christa for the extra beverages she gave my family during the exchange. Thanks again.

Thanks Marlton Mom!!
I will pick Mrs. Noodle up on 10/16 from Bell Services, with a tip. Since we are leaving in the afternoon of 10/21 to head for a week to Vero Beach (Hooray!), I will leave Mrs Noodle with Bell Services for pick up 10/22 by PrincessTaylorsMom on 10/22.
Thanks Again

Regarding the drop off at Bell Services. Is there just one Bell Services shared by YC/BC or do they both have a Bell Services area?

If there are two, I would like to suggest that the Beach Club Bell Services Desk be the default dropoff/pickup location for "Mrs. Noodle"

Thanks!

Dee (once again, using her noodle, if only she could find it!)

We'll be traveling next August with my DD7 and my parents. Tentative plans are for 2 nights at BC before we move over to BLT for the rest of the week. Here's the question...are there connecting rooms at BC? Opening the door between our rooms makes for a much "homier" feel while we're all munching on bagels and coffee in the morning. Thanks in advance,
-J of JKnL

I have spent time today reading the first pages.
We (DH and I) will be at the BCV from 10/16 - 10/21, please add us to the roll call.
Also I see a GAP for the Noodle Family during our stay.
I would like to request the honor :rotfl2: of entertaining them for these dates.
Thanks

:welcome:

We will add you on to our Guest list and Noodle Swap.

Hello! :yay: Welcome to the YC/BC thread and congrats on your upcoming trip! I'm not sure if I'm much help here, but I know you might get an answer re: the ordering a child's meal on the restaurant/DDP page... I wish I could say for certain. As far as I remember reading, I think most restaurants allow it, but I'm not sure. The thing is with most of the children's meals, you'll be limited to chicken nuggets, hot dog, & mac & cheese in a lot of restaurants....

As far as the Fantasmic Dining pkg, I think you do have to call for that seeing as how they have to book a credit card guarantee in case of a no-show.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!:goodvibes

Thanks for the info on Starring Rolls. We have plans on eating at hollywood and vine for dinner and plaza later in the trip so I thought a counter service would be a good idea for breakfast/lunch. Not sure of all the available CS, wasn't to impressed with Pizza planet 4 years ago. We are on deluxe so I guess we will play it by ear.

We moved to Kentucky two years ago. My husband was born and raised in Charleston. He drove taxi cab there since he was 18, until two years ago. I moved from central Florida in 1996 to attend Charleston Southern University 1996. Well, fell in love, baby, and got my first apparment in Goose Creek over the following years we lived there, Monks Corner, and then St. Stephen. My mother and her husband bought a small home there this past May trying to get out of St. Stephen. Right around the new police station. You might be surprised how much it has grown up around there!

Thanks for shareing

DH lived there from 1994 til 2000 and I lived there from 1998 til 2000, so we were there at the same time. DH is from WV originally and had moved down there to take a job at the Fire Dept. My cousin's boyfriend worked with him and they fixed us up. After we did the long distance thing for awhile, I moved down from NC, and we got married in 1999. I worked at MUSC downtown and at Trident Hospital while we were there, so I am very familiar with CSU. We lived at St. James apartments in Goose Creek and one of the things that I still miss is the Publix grocery store :lmao: I could walk out of our back door and be in the parking lot at Publix, so I always ran over to the store when I needed something, and their deli made great subs! I also miss being able to buy fresh shrimp from the guy on the side of Hwy 52. :) My cousin is still there and I have seen how things have grown (and how expensive real estate has become in that area).

It's a small world!

Cindy

This is a very small world! We were nieghbors! My first apartment was behind what is now the Verizon store but was the bread store across from the small Little Pappys. We were married in 1999 also at the church of God in Summerville. My husband was a volunteer fire fighter in Cordesville and we have a friends that are all firefighters in the area. I miss Publix also! I love the chinese resturant beside it that serves unlimited sushi! Go there every visit with mom! If you ever rod in a cab the white ones, you might have crossed our path. My father in law also drove cab, unfortunantly he was robbed in your old nieghborhood by people who did not lived there. I also miss Alex's. I tend to stay up late and it was nice to go get a cup of coffee and split peanut butter pie! Wow, how crazy is all fo this!

Hey- small world indeed!
I was born and raised in Summerville until I just moved to Atlanta 2 mths ago. I worked at Trident and MUSC as well! Trident from 2002-2008 on mother/baby, Level2 nursery, and pediatrics. MUSC on 8D, but that didn't last long...wasn't for me!
My grandparents are close to that goose creek publix, in crowfield...
Imagine us all finding each other on the YC/BC thread...pretty neat!:flower3:

At the YC right now. Check in Friday am, gv room ready at check in. Kids are loving SAB, I liked watching the fireworks from EPCOT in the pool;).

DHS was packed today! Still had a great time. Waiting 1 1/2 hours for our ADR at Mama Melrose!!! Not good.

I knew it would be hot but this is HOT!!!!!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey all...

Just wanted to express how happy I am right now! I am a chronic resort changer, and I have been wrestling with where to stay in Disney for at least part of our honeymoon (we've got five free nights at the Swan on points). After changing resorts and room types at least ten times, I am happy to announce that we'll be staying at the Beach Club from October 7th-10th! :goodvibes I was able to snag a great AP rate, so Beach Club here we come!!!!!

You are welcome, Chris! I'm glad we were able to give them to someone we "know"! And thank you for sharing the pool noodles with us during your stay. I'm thanking god I changed our original ressies of Aug 25- Sept 2nd...don't want to meet Irene!!!!

Just got home last night. Wonderful stay at YC CL. I booked the 40% off bounceback for Christmas! :) We had the wrong expired clock in our room but they honored it anyway. I don't know if I will keep the trip. 3 months seem sooo soon to return but I may! Teena always advises to BOOK and then deal with it when you get home! Got to see Teena again. Such a sweetie as always!
