What's everyone's plans on Mother's Day? Still trying to figure mine out...I know one thing I don't want to cook or clean...but I know I will be cause I have surgery the next day...minor one before the big one on the 19th...

Our plans are:

Breakfast in Bed (it's a ritual and Lord knows they try . . .)
Church
Visit my Mom at the hospital
Then all the older kids come over and DH cooks out on the grill. No cooking or cleaning that day for me at all!!!!

We are less than a month to go and I am already packed, have my schedules arranged and my Beach Club info memorized!! BUT a dilemma arose...

So I've been trying to get Chef Mickey reservations for weeks now...now story short, my daughter went through a terrible phase where she was AWFUL in restaurants. So we had cancelled a lot of our sit-down meals a couple months back. Well, now she is outgrowing the phase and I wanted Chef Mickey's back!

I became obsessive and checked every 10 minutes for days, and today I was able to find a ressie on the day we want AND for the time we wanted! But it was only for 2 people (we need 3, one being a 22 month old), so I grabbed it in hopes of getting it modified (which of course Disney Dining told us no). So my plan for now is to keep it, still check daily for an open 3 person ressie and even at check-in I will have the Beach Club staff check for me every day in hopes that we will find one...and if not, we'll show up with an extra and see if we can be accomodated. It's a 7:20AM ressie, so I'm hoping people cancel their early morning ones.

Does that sound like a good plan? or anyone have suggestions?

keep the reservation you have for 2, the hostess at chef mickey I am sure you be able to accomodate you. I personally would not even bother looking for a 3 person reservation

It is about a 15 minute walk to the Hess Station. I have walked it to get beer and wine. It is difficult to cross the road as it is not designed for crossing and there is not sidewalk on the Hess side. Something about Florida grass that is not soft or enjoyable at all to walk in. The hard part is returning with the beer, especially because it is a hill back up to the Boardwalk Inn. Let me know if you want any more details such as short cuts, etc. The prices are VERY reasonable and the same as off site grocery stores.

Yes, please! I would love to know the best way /shortuts to get there, etc. We have never stayed at the BC before so the lay of the land is all new to us. DH said he has no problems walking over to Hess from BC for a beer run

2 months from today these cold New England toes are going to be running through the sand at the Beach Club

I am actually not sure if it will even be 75 degrees here by the time we get to FL so we may actually melt from the heat

Hi, all! I'm writing this from our balcony at the BC. We love it here! This is definitely my new favorite resort. Our vacation is going great. We've been here since Tuesday. Today we went to DTD. We had to wait forever for a bus back. I don't recommend the West Side bus stop!

DD fell asleep on the bus so we are relaxing til she wakes up. I think we might go to DHS later and catch the late F! showing. She should be okay since she has this late nap.

We have had perfect weather. A few showers today but nothing too bad. Mom is getting along okay on her scooter but it sure can be difficult getting around people. We are having a nice slow-paced vacation. Wish you all were here enjoying it with us!

After the week I've just had, 30 something days is still too far away for my trip!

I've got some of the stuff out on the bed for inventory purposes. I've told my DH too many times he A) better start walking to get in shape and B) Get new undies fer crying out loud!

Another family is considering joining us on the trip and is dithering about the decision... meanwhile the clock keeps ticking and the hotel is going to get filled. I explained about ADR's and how late it is in the game and all I got were blank looks. I'm smart enough not to make this my problem but I do hate to see them laying on the tracks when I tell them the train is coming...

DS and I have been walking at night together. I told him I was slower than him because when I younger I had a child and that child wrecked my body. He just snickers and laps me!!!

I am seriously considering packing the suitcases and just have everybody wear the same outfit for the next 35 days. Is that wrong?

OK, I'm off the ledge and back in the building now...... and wondering what's next...

Smoochies and good wishes to all who are going through personal troubles. I really hope all the Mom's have a great day, especially Robyn's Mom. Keep strong for as long as you are able!!!

stopped in the Marketplace yesterday and inquired about the merchandise returning and with an excited smile on her face the cast member said it will be in by the end of the year.
Was happy to hear that. She was happy to have it returning also.

Your son is the cutest little one in the world.
We were just thinking of you as we do laundry before check out in the morning.
Yes that sad day has come but we've booked a bounceback for October to stay here again, in 5 short months.

Off for my daily zap and then nap. Bob calls it the "zap n nap". Then he's taking me to the movies this afternoon and to dinner (early Mother's Day) since I'm working on Sunday.

Zap and nap is great. My DH used to follow my zap and nap up with a hot fudge sunday. Now It is 26 pounds later.

I switched from POR to the BC . I am now inside 50 days and counting , booked water view with a full balcony request . I am also traveling solo any
ideas where I may be placed ? Just curious I know its Disney and that is the
