Great news! Thanks so much for keeping us updated.

This is my first onsite stay (unless you count when I was 10, I think we were at Lake Buena Vista in a hotel/motel of some kind but it was 1977 so I can't remember!!!) and I want to make it special for the kids. We are (right now!) staying at BC CL. Will the IPO help me to have a few things from the gift shops in my room when we arrive? What about the refillable mugs? I don't necessarily want some big themed celebration, just a couple of surprises for the kids. There must be a thread for this, but I can't seem to find one. Anyone else staying at BC do anything like this?
Hi
I will be staying at YC for a seminar 8/15-8/19.. and I use a scooter. (first time in a deluxe too..YAY!!)
Will the boats to the parks accomodate the scooter? or will i have to use either the walkways or the busses?
This has been my only concern..as I would LOVE to take the boat if I can..
Thank you so much for any input...![]()

Thank you so much!! I am a scootin' pro on the busses..lol but at times the drivers kill me with the "oh goodness..scooterville" look..lol But I have mastered the scoot- on.pull up pull back..smooth move...lol
My biggest fear has been the boats.. wasnt sure what they did.. so I am very thankful to you,MM ( Howdy Hoo Neighbor!!) , and T above ya for the answers... and reassuring my nerves...
I know I should be estatic.. but I will be by myself for 5 days.. and well.. I wont have 2 my travel partners to share this great experience ( or the pool). So if you see a scootin' chic possibly turning around and talking in the air , with flailing arms/hands.. its most likely me.. forgetting I dont have two kids in toe to yell at and show things too.... LOL![]()
Woo hoo MM!
And one last word of warning - pour carefully! The transfer from silly plastic glass to refillable mug can be very messy if you are not extremely cautious. I require my family to stand back and clear the area during the pouring.![]()
If you're bored on Monday, scoot on over to the BC lobby and say howdy to an old Jersey girl ... born and raised in Burlington County!
I would Love too... I arrive early and dont have to meet up with the group until 3ish.. so Ill scoot over and say Hi!
Curious... what is the latest time we can exit Epcot and scoot back over to YC? Newbie Q- but I am guessing we use the Intl Gateway area when we scoot/walk/boat back?
Is DHS really scootable to get too? or would you just recommend the boat?
I have been known by CM's for all my scooter issues... so I am trying to have aleast have 1 trip.. that I dont have to have personal escorts for anything..

Good God Woman how many of those slushie things are you pouring!?
Attention everyone: If you see a woman and her family wearing hard hats and pouring frozen gloppy slush type beverages into refillable mugs run for your lives..... because this is the woman that's going to take out your bunions with her stroller!
On another note the first time I was at Epcot's Germany I (being metrically impaired) ordered the 1 liter size of the beer. My husband, who knew I wasn't a drinker, especially of beer, shot me a look and a raised eyebrow.... which I finally understood when Gunthur the barbarian hefted the ginormous stein to our table. My husband, not wanting to be out done by his wife ordered the same thing (Giving Gunthur a HERNIA!)
Needless to say I couldn't finish mine but I did put a dent in it. Now here comes the smartest thing I EVER DID! I got my husband to finish my beer! This was of course after he finished his beer and I have to say that this was the one and only time this man ever got enthusiastic about shopping in the gift shops!!
I still laugh about how toasted we were as we made our way from gift shop to gift shop. Sadly, as hard as I try I, cannot trick my husband into drinking that much beer at Disney again.
Let this be a lesson to all the spouses whose partners do not enjoy the shopping aspects of Disney. Get thee to Germany where you are a liter and a half away from a spouse who will shop until they drop!

I think they keep the gate open for at least an hour after Epcot closes for the evening. You should have no trouble rolling back to the Yacht Club. As far as scooting to the studios you could do it but the Boats run so regularly I don't see why you'd waste the battery power.

My Dad is doing really well! Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.
I love all the beautiful pictures of Princess Lily! What a cutie!
As I read through the pages to catch up, I saw a few people have been to Ogunquit. I spend time there every summer!
To all at BC/YC, ENJOY! Can't wait to get back there........
Great news!!!! Will keep the prayers coming!!!

Here's another timely reminder for the summer (and Fall, and Winter and Spring) guest.
Even though they sell Alcohol at DHS and EPCOT they don't allow you to exit the park with an OPEN container of Alcohol. This necessitated Marlton Mom getting a Grey Goose slushie ice cream headache as she tried valiantly to chug hers before exiting.... not the "Grey Goose Slushie" experience I was hoping for.
Take a refillable mug people!!!. Dump your slushie or butterbeer or whatever into it and no one will be the wiser...
This has been a public service announcement from Marlton Mom.
