Ok, questions, not question :)

Ok, questions, not question :)
On the application page for this panel there was a list of qualifications. One that I remember is you had to have taken a trip this year.

This is only the third year of the panel but thus far they have picked new members each fall. I can't answer the term question since some panelists serve more than one year.

I can find the write up from the first year and that will give you some ideas.

I was thinking on this question early this morning and I kept coming back to the term "Twinkling" and then linking it in my mind to Tinker Bell.

Does Tinker Bell have siblings that live in EPCOT?
Perhaps a brother named, Seymour Twinkling and a sister named, Ima Twinkling?
Maybe this is where they play?

I also wondered if it could be tied into the Pixies theme that Disney is promoting in MK.

Perhaps : Pixie Play Yard or named after the two Pixies that fit the area best Iridessa and Vidia. Iredessa's Pathway and Vidia's Play Yard.

Iridessa is the name of the Light Fairy. Here is her profile: http://disney.go.com/fairies/fairies/fairies_bio/iridessa.html

Hi! My name is Iridessa!

Enemies... With that attitude, she makes a lot of them
Favorite Treat... Lemon tarts... maybe that explains the sour look on her face!
Notable Quote... "Darling, I hope you're not operating under the misconception that we're somehow 'pals.'"

I have not seen the Tinker Bell movie about Pixie Hollow but is there a name of the place where the gather at night or play?

Also another dumb question for you to answer Jud but I seriously do not know the answer......How do you spell Tinker Bell? Is is two words, Tinker Bell; one word with two capitals, TinkerBell; or all one word, Tinkerbell?

So far the names we have are:

"Tink's Twinkle Lights of Tomorrow" with the promotion tag of: "Tomorrow's Future is Bright! Just Follow the Lights"

Pixiedust Pathways

Extraordinary Pathway Channeling Our Twinkles (EPCOT!)

Seymour Twinkling and Ima Twinkling's Play Yard (Backyard)

Pixie Play Yard

Iredessa's Pathway and Vidia's Play Yard

So... you don't want the upgrade?

:)

Jud

I would love an upgrade :goodvibes.........wait a minute.:scared1:
We bought into DVC BCV so we no longer have to dream of an upgrade! :rotfl:

I still want to know what the most asked question is Jud! :yay:

I have so enjoyed getting to know all of you and thought it would be wonderful if something "concrete" could come of this year's experience.:goodvibes

Hehehehee... concrete eh? hehehehee...

So with that in mind and the inspiration of the photo below of Kaylene's children, along with her suggestion to name this area; I thought it would be fun to come up with our own official name for the concrete/tile areas in EPCOT where the lights twinkle under your feet.

I think you just wanted to see those adorable kids again! That's what I think! :)

Perhaps we can come up with several good ones and then take a vote on which one we all like the best. I figure if we all start to use this name then maybe it's use will spread and it will become known as that name! How fun would that be?

Yes- but I demand a veto! :)

Todays general question is: What shall we name twinkling ground areas in EPCOT?

Jud your answers to the quirky questions are great. I love the beer in the briar patch! :rotfl::woohoo:

Hehehehee... I was wondering if anyone would get that...

We also still need to figure out your riddle about the most asked silly question that people say to CM's! :confused3

I will answer tonight if no one gets it. I really really thought this was general knowledge!!! Must have been on a certain group too long?

Could it be something about how well they are paid to work for Disney? :rotfl:

They're paid??? When did that start? :)

:)

Jud

"Tomorrow's Future is Bright! Just Follow the Lights"

This is not really a name for the twinkle light area at Epcot but it just popped in my head and it's not even 5 am in the morning yet.

Here is another on for free:

"Tink's Twinkle Lights of Tomorrow"

Hope everyone has an awesome Sunday!

Marc

Hi Marc,

I like the idea of tying it to Tink! Never thought of that, but very apropos! Especially during Flower and Garden when they have The Faerie Playground or whatever they call it- great presentation!

Oh! And that opening phrase is a GREAT slogan!

:)

Jud

How about pixiedust pathways!

Hmmm... that is good... close... very close. Only downside is it is not actually a pathway, but Pixiedust "xxx" is it... and you have the engineering faeries on one side and the abstract (or the 60's) faeries on the other... hehehehee...

:)

I really like this- Pixie dust (something) but we need a technically correct word, and best that it start with a P... if we can get that, I think we will have a name that will really take off! And stick!

One of my little friends calls SSE 'The Big Ball' and that has stuck with me. Maybe not the first to do it, but the first that I heard using it as the name rather than an off-hand comment or remark. It fits, it works!

:)

Jud

:lmao::rotfl:I am sitting here an a rare sunny day in Ohio watching trailers from the TinkerBell movie. :scared1::laughing: I really need to step away from the computer and rake leaves! :surfweb:

Here is the link to the first 6 minutes of the movie! :happytv:
http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi660078617/

There is a scene at the beginning that talks about Fairies being born when a baby first laughs and then it shows the "birth" of Tink from a floating seed. The ruler of the Pixies seems to be Queen Clarion. So maybe fixing a name into her like Queen Clarion's Realm or Queen Clarion's Dell?

I am officially obsessed! I am putting the mouse down now! :worship::rotfl:

Well, we did just get one at the Poly during our September trip. But, I asked nicely :) and was willing to pay the difference. I think many people ask as if demanding it.

The twinkling sidewalks at Epcot are one of my all-time favorite things!! So much that DH gave me a ring that reminds me of the "twinkling stars". I wear it everyday and it reminds me of such a happy place.

Gotta go plan my January trip now. It will be short but sweet because I think dd will be flying solo and joining me at the end of my work trip. Anybody have any experience sending a child on a flight? She has flown a fair amount, but always with an adult. I can get her a non-stop and meet her at MCO. She is game and ready to go.

While waiting for the #1 Stupid Guest Question at WDW, (hint!), I will share the #1 Stupid Guest Comment, overheard at a very crowded and bustling Main Street Train Station Platform:

"This is no place for children! Humph!"

:)

Jud

Jud -- love your answers -- they made me laugh!

The first name that popped into my head was "Pixiedust Pavers"

Kim -- great photos!

Actually my father still swears that Disney World is really for adults and that kids just do not get it until they are older.:upsidedow

Could the question be .....
Where do I go to see Walt Disney? :confused3

I know that real photographers hate to see dates plastered all over a picture but I am really not a professional photographer and I hate to find a stack of photos and I have no idea who there are, where they were taken, or when they were taken! :lmao:

Ya, well, knock it off! Hear me? hehehehee... I could kill whoever came up with that little 'feature'. I have seen some magnificent photos ruined by that stupid date! And note that this was added to cameras when it was still print- and every print picture had the date printed on its back side during processing... I once spent many many hours cleaning the date off an incredible family photo with rainbow in background at Epcot... took me a YEAR to get that family to stop putting the date on their photos! Turned out it was the default setting so every time they turned on the camera, it was there.

For digital, when you move your photo files to your puter, simply date the shoot! ALL my photos are labeled with Date, location and number, such as
<2009 11 05 WDW- E- (1)> Keeps them in order in the folders too. Alternatively, one can go <WDW- 2009 11 05 E- (1)>

By putting the number thus (x), Windows automatically number the following files from that point: if you don't put it manually on the first file, the next one will be titled with (1); [using CTRL A; right click; <rename>]

Stepping down now... taking deep breaths... counting to ten...

:)

BTW, that "When is the 3 o'clock parade is coming up a lot over at FB where I thought I might find someone who would know the answer! Maybe it is the #1 Stupid Guest Question!

:)
