2010/2011 DVC Planner- Do You Have It Yet?

We just bought a new contract and received the FedEx box with all the materials yesterday. I was most excited to open it and peruse the new planner, since I thought "Surely this will have the new planner in it. They wouldn't dream of sending me anything else."

So you can imagine my surprise/disappointment/anger to find an 09 planner with a 2010 point chart booklet added in the back!

I mean come on! They actually spent money to overnight me the 09 planner?! Seriously?! If a brand new member can't even get a 2010 planner, who can? They didn't even give me 2011 point chart. At least throw in a printout or something!

Maybe the effects of all those layoffs last year are finally starting to seep through the surface. :confused3

Likely the 2010 planners are all still in transit to DVC. They go to a shipping contractor that labels and send them to current members, and the division of DVC that sends out materials to new purchasers has probably not received the 2010 booklets, yet.

Sending them this late is a joke, if they can't get them to us in Jan. then forget it and make a pdf to print off.
I totally agree...In fact, they should be sending out the 2011 planners now, not a 2010 planner after a quarter of the year is behind us! I also agree that the entire book should be loaded onto the member's website. We could then download (and print if desired) the entire book or only the parts which interest us :surfweb: I don't know about you, but I don't need the pages which outline the floor plans for each resort. I've been a member since 1991 and I think I know the layouts pretty well by now...not the experts that you all are :worship:, but pretty informed :goodvibes The glitzy booklets could be saved for new members and those who purchased an add-on at a new resort. Just my 5 cents! ;) Have a Happy Easter weekend everyone! :dance3:

Still no planner in the Philly area...ugh

I agree..why a 2010 planner when most of us are already booked for 2010 and planning 2011 and beyond?!

Nothing yet on Long Island. Personally, I think it's a waste of a tree and I hope they do away with them, except on request for DVCers who aren't online.

Nothing here in the Chicago area. At this point, I think it's more of a waste--I've already planned my trips for 2010 with the points on the DVC website.

But, that's just my opinion.

Not yet in SE PA. But it isn't June yet!
