Our family would like to meet you all at the Dis meet, but our plane doesn't arrive in Orlando until 12:06. Add to that that we have no Palo resevations , and I'm not sure if we'll make it in time to catch up with you all- but we'll try.

But, just for the record, our gang is:

and Julia (DD- almost 4)

Also, I'm curious. I've read that we need to pack sweaters because the theater etc. can be chilly. What quantity and weight is appropriate. (I don't want to pack as if we're going on a ski vacation.)

Can you tell I'm a newbie? Thanks as always for the advice.

By the way, we're in a Category 5 (Veranda room)- deck 7 if there's not already one on the tour. Anyone in a suite? I'm curious what you get if you pay a small fortune

Well, we've only been twice, but the thought of a sweater never crossed my mind. We went once in June and once in September and didn't pack anything but shorts (plus dress for formal night) and was hot the whole time, no matter where we were. BUT that's just me.

Holly, congrats on getting your docs. I am with you though, the docs are kind of anti-climatic now that it is not a big thick envelope.

I want to again bring up the idea of a picture. Is anyone dead set against taking a picture at the meeting on Saturday? I suggested we take it in front of Lumieres. Any other ideas?

Since I am driving and a bunch of you are flying, does anyone want me to bring some bubbles for the sail away party?

And, to top it off, the opposing attorneys and clients actually expect me to concentrate on work. They have NO idea that I have a trip to think about, a suitcase to pack (actually partially pact, but thats not the point), posts to read, cameras to get ready, etc.

I feel your pain!!! I just started back to work after being "off" all summer and shopping, planning and obsessing over the cruise. It was very strange not to be on a computer or reading about the cruise!!! I actually work for 4 days then take the cruise!!! Everyone thinks I'm nuts. I, on the other hand, cannot wait!!!

thanks Holly- I was thinking about that yesterday at target and started to grab a couple things but had no idea how many of anything so I did nothing! Lame. I know. But my time is limited these days by multiple dr. appts. that I have to fit in while DD is at preschool. I'm seeing the chiropractor for my neck. ugh.

However, if someone will come up with a count I'll try to get a little something. No one has yet confirmed- are we 2pm or 2:30 in the promenade lounge on Sat?? Capt. Blue- what say's you?

What's up with your neck? If you mentioned it on the boards, I try to catch up as much as possible when I get on...but sometimes miss. Anyway, KUDOS to you for going. My father was a chiropractor here in Peoria, IL. He was the first Chiro to actually get hospital privledges here. He has a wonderful story...but enough. Anyway, DO WHATEVER they tell you to do. They really want to see you walk out the door and not come back for a very long time because you feel good and are spinally healthy! Good luck!

I been off the board for a long time, busy busy busy summer.
We leave this Friday for WDW for a week then the cruise.
I plan on spending Sunday eating and drinking my way through Epcot for my DW birthday.
Our party changed to 4, our DD18 can not make it on the cruise, she will spend the week at WDW then she has other plans. we will have myself DW, DS 15, & DS6.
I was not able to book Palo's on line so I have to try to do it on board. I want to make sure I get reservations for 9/7 our 20th anvy.
In 40 hours we leave, it has only been a two year wait for this trip and it is almost here. I have not even started to pack yet. time sure has gone by fast.

Wow! What a job organizing everyone!!! You have much more patience than I!

We are game for a photo op. We may have to leave the meet a bit early though. One of our friends from the terminal may be working backstage and won't get to come socialize on the floor with us, so she may be coming aboard to visit. She would love to come to the meet, but is not allowed out and about on the ship while in costume. She was assuming that she would make it between 3 and 3:30. If you need to take the photo after we leave...you're not missing much and we won't hold it against any of you!

Holly congrats on the docs!

Brian...I always like the level of play by Davis Love. We had just talked about how strong of an RC player he is. We would so love to go some year. Actually, our boys have a goal of being the first brother team to be on the RC. Of course that tics their sis off as she wants to be the first family on hte RC! Granted, she is working for the Solheim Cup...but she'd love to compete with them!
As to anyone interested in hearing about unruly fans, ask us about a certain Incident at a certain Junior Golf Tournament held in Bloomington, Illinois. YIKES! High school golf seems to be going well so far for our Abby. She has been made an honorary junior...not bad as an incoming Freshman. She is also playing as their number 2-3...and is the only Freshman on Varsity!

Now that the girls are doing competitive figure skating, my pet peeve is unruly parents at sporting events. At the second competition they were at, there were mothers screaming at their children (who were between the ages of 6 and 8) that if the child did not perfect her form before the event the child would not be able to have any of her friends over all of that week.

I personally believe that ALL parents should sign a parent code of ethics and that the coaches or, if their is a league, the league should strictly enforce it. The girls' coach enforces the one she makes the parents sign. And, in fact, she has banned one mother from attending any competition where that mother's daughter is competing. The mother is real nice most of the time, but stresses over her daughter being in the competition and all of it comes out at the rink. So, to avoid the mother embarrassing herself and her daughter, the mother cannot attend.
