Yup, that's them. Why don't we all go? Peer pressure :rotfl2:

See I will just tell John that Ann Marie is MAKING us go to WDW next week! :rotfl2:

We are home! Got up at 4 am to catch our 6:25 flight. Nice quiet flight and then picked up by the in-laws. Mark will be heading into work and I'll be doing grocery shopping and laundry.

Sending prayers and pixie dust for Walker and his surgery!

All this talk about WDW in December... :scratchin Curt and I have always wanted to go, but haven't made the trip yet. Maybe we should all try for a WDW take-over in December 2007??? :confused3 I cannot travel over Christmas, though! Pet sitters NEVER have holidays off! paw:

Normally, the few days before Christmas and the week between Christmas and New Years is very crowded. The first of December is really nice. Last year we went for the week between Christmas and New Years, but we only had plans of hanging out at the resort. We went to MK on Monday the 26th for the parade. We walked in stood by the street watched the parade and then went back to OKW. Deanna met 3 other girls that were staying at OKW and their families were doing the same thing - just hanging out at the resorts for the week. A completely different trip than we are use to.

ESPN Weekend is the first weekend of March. Most of the EPSN shows are done live from MGM (like Cold Pizza, Sports Center). There are meet and greets with sports stars (Jerry Rice, Football retiree and Dancing with the Stars winner was one of the many that was there this year). All the events are open to the public and there is always a good chance you will run into someone famous. We saw a ton of atheletes. My brother said it was the best trip to WDW ever for him as he is a giant sports nut.

Just waiting to hear about Walker and his adnoids. I hope they were able to do the surgery so he doesn't have to worry about going back another time.

We are off to take Walker to the hospital for the surgery. Yesterday, no fever, just a little bit of a cold. :thumbsup2 This morning, he's a little more congested but we trust the doctor and know that he won't do the surgery if there is any concerns. If we end up back here, with Walker's adnoids :rotfl2: , I guess we'll just try this another time.

Walker & I sat most of yesterday in the recliner watching TV. Not that Walker said so, but being he was on my lap for hours it seemed, I'm sure he's a little apprehensive about today. It seemed when I wanted to get up, he didn't want me to, so we have a nice Mommy/Walker day -- which is a rarity now that he's 6 and usually much too old for that kind of snuggling anymore.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Karen, how cool that you ran into Matt & Julie!

Mark & Mary, safe travels home today (I think). :)

I hope the surgery was done and the little uy is on his way to feeling better real quick!

This Christmas we will be at BCV. We leave in less than 2 weeks. I have a question for all those parents out there. DD still believes in the bearded one and DH and I thought maybe we should ship her stocking stuffers ahead to BCV. Has anyone shipped to one of the DVC resorts? Was there any problems? I really would like her to believe for a little bit longer and I don't think packing stocking stuffers in our suitcases is going to keep that magic going. If I am shipping a box already should I ship toiletries and/or breakfast items? I would not normally ship anything but the christmas presents might take presidence this year.

Roxann - we shipped to our resort for the wedding and did not have problems getting things there - our problem was that we wanted our items as soon as we checked in and delivery was running about 2 hours behind that. So... as long as you don't need the items immediately it works very well to ship - we put our name, confirmation # and resort information all over the box.

PS - Um I'm 34 and I still BELIEVE

Karen - meeting up with you was too funny! I could tell from the look on Matt's face that he thinks I know someone everywhere - he gave me the "who the heck knows we are here" look. LOL.

Mark, Mary, Karen and Jeff (ok and everyone else at WDW this weekend)... I'm sorry we didn't make plans to meet up with everyone. We were in for a private dinner in the Narnia set at MGM - it was simply AMAZING! The food was beyond delicious and the setting devine. I can't wait to post photos.

Curt called just as the shuttle was going up and we didn't get to answer but I do have some photos. They won't be close to seeing it in person - it was stunning and very emotional!

We would love to go on a WDW cruise in December or go to WDW with the group, however next year is definately a no for us. I will never be allowed to take vacation in December with my current position and while I was gone this weekend next year I know that won't happen either. We're hoping jobs in 2008 make that easier!

Question for everyone: What's up with Cedar Point? Where is the consensus for hotel/cottages/cabins? If I were to do it, we would be interested in the cottages/cabins with preference being the ones made of logs and I would need one for myself, niece and parents. Also, what is the closest/easiest airport to fly direct into from Tampa or Orlando?

Chris is so kindly looking into the prices for hotels for Cedar Point. I think she was going to list a few places and everyone can then stay where they choose. Some want to stay at the Cottages/cabins, some want a little less expensive place to stay. This way everyone can pick what works best for them.

As of the last time I heard, the date was set for July 13 - 15. Some are coming in earlier or staying later and making a longer vacation of it.

For airports check the prices flying into Detroit, Cleveland or Toledo. Those 3 should be the closest.

We are home. :thumbsup2

Surgery went well and the doctor said the adenoids were huge so I think we made the right decision to have them removed.

I know the hardest part is over and the toughest thing is going to be to keep Walker down for the next couple of days. I have my ropes all ready to tie him to the couch if need be.

Thanks for all the well wishes.....back to watching TV with Walker.

I'm glad to hear that things went well for Walker!! It's amazing how times have changed because when I was around his age and I had my tonsils and adenoids taken out, I was in the hospital for at least a day or 2.

That is kind of our plan for this trip. Go where the winds take us. Only 1 planned activity and that is Chef Mickeys for dinner Sunday night. It is kind of a tradition to go there when we get to Disney.

Get some rest Walker! Hope you're feeling better soon pixiedust:

I was 20 when I had my tonsils & adenoids out in 1979 and was in the hospital 3 nights and was told that I would be off work for 4 weeks. When I applied for sick benefits at my work, the HR department said for tonsils they will give you 4 weeks of full pay. Of course I was thinking, you have got to be kidding, how could a little sore throat keep you out of work for a month :confused3 Little did I know how hard it was for an adult to have them out.
