DCL bed – has anyone bought one?

So I did reach out and find exactly who makes the mattress and I was just wondering has anybody actually bought one? The shipping is rather high, but I think I'm just looking for reassurances that I won't be throwing my money away. Has anyone actually bought the same mattress used on the DCL ships for home and been happy with it?

I've seen numerous threads throughout the years about people trying to buy the mattress and pillows they use on DCL. Makes sense, we all agree they're fantastic.

However, IIRC, everyone who did purchase what thought was the same ones they use on the ships all seemed to report back that it just wasn't the same.

Wouldn't surprise me if DCL negotiated with the manufacturer(s) to keep their models completely exclusive to DCL.

Mind sharing the information? It is the favorite bed on which I have ever slept!

I think the comfort of the cruise beds is more about motion. Obviously those beds have to accommodate the ships movement.

Those beds are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. It had nothing to do w/ the motion of the ship. Hubby was stationed on an aircraft carrier and can speak to ship motion , he agrees. I always attributed the comfort to the bedding, but the mattresses too make sense. I've never run into anyone that didn't just LOVE those beds!
