:bday: Happy Birthday Mickey!!! :bday:

It's a celebration day for the mouse who started it all!!!

Disney's first and best idea followed by the parks and then of course our "DVC"!

I couldn't say it any better! ::MickeyMo

Hi all,

Debbie, I have a chick-filet question... is it SOP to have all of the breakfast stuff pre-cooked and waiting in the bins? Mine (near me) does it and it is just nasty. I am in the habit of ordering a lunch sandwich and waiting for it just so I know it is fresh..... Just curious...

ITA about the pre-booking, but I doubt it will happen...
I like the idea about pulling in 2 different directions to CC, but am not sure if the "Dock" can handle ie it...

My suggestions? I like what they did in '03 where one person who added on points got their purchase for free in a raffle...
How about a special "'06 Cruise Refillable mug" good at all of the DVC resorts until the cruise in '07?????

Maybe raffle off a 7 day cruise cat4, or a 5 person cruise in the Roy Disney suite? Something special...

Why not send everyone a copy of a rememberance DVD of the cruise...

Also, how about a raffle for 150 points, or a years dues paid for your contracts...

OK, now an unreasonable request... a half million dollar house in Celebration, or a new Segway.... (again not for everyone, but as a raffle item...

Just a few thoughts...

:jumping2:

They did do a give away of a years dues paid. It was part of the member "questionnaire" that we were given at check-in. If you completed it by a certain time, you turned it in and it was entered into a raffle.

We know this works as the past SSMC05 pulled in forward when traditionally the cruises (eg normal weekly cruises) back in. The captain told us he wanted to do that for us so we would have great photos!

Okay, now I am totally confused. I thought I read that the spa was going to be closed during the Member cruise. I was just reading the DVC site, and it says:

"The Fitness Center located in the Vista Spa and Salon will be unavailable during this sailing. Most fitness equipment will be available in an alternate location for your convenience. The Vista Spa and Salon will remain open during this time and regular spa services will continue to be offered."

So, did they change their minds??? Or was I mistaken in thinking that they had said it would be closed?

Wow, they must have changed that. It didn't say that before. Good catch! :cool1:

I have the 'invitation' here and it says right on it "The Vista Spa & Salon is being expanded and will be unavailable during this sailing. Most fitness equipment will be available in an alternate location for your convenience.

That was what it used to say on the website too. :cool1:

Diana, If I send you my tshirt- could your husband turn it pink? :)

I'm sure it would take very little effort on his part. I keep him away from the laundry at home, it was just a fluke that he did the laundry at VWL the night we got back from the cruise. His intentions were good. He knew I needed a break after my bus ride with Dan, you know Dan, the famous bus driver who likes a clean bus. :rotfl2: Had to get that in. So he told me to relax and take Emma down to the water and watch the Electric Water Pagant....no worries, he'll take care of the laundry. At least it was his shirt and not mine.....

Hey Cheryl - Send your shirt on over here. I can turn it a nice shade of pink. I have to wash some red cordouroy fabric that mom is going to make some outfits for the girls. I'm sure that I could make it a beautiful pink color, just like Bruce. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My dad's good at pink clothes too - he once turned all his under shirts and such a nice shade of barbie pink - my mom laughed for a long time over that one!

XXXXXXXXXXXXX
We do the same thing at our CFA.
We are constantly under the gun to keep our times down and this helps.
Im not sure how buys your CFA is, but ours is extremly busy.
Your idea of ordering the sandwich and waiting is one way to assure freshness,
Another is to request a biscut that just came out of the oven.
Hope this helps
And to the others who love the minis......
They are my new favorite
When they 1st came out I ate them daily and gained about 5 lbs..
I had to cut back to 1 time a week now

Whew... took me a few minutes to figure out SOP... lol

So glad to see the spa will be open! I bet they got a lot of phone calls on that one... MORE POINTS< NO SPA?????

I want/need a hot stone massage something terrible. I was on my way to a hot stone massage on my girls cruise and just as I was turning the corner to enter the massage room, the ship shifted, I shifted and the next think I know my little toe is pointing in a very unnatural direction. Lovely. I did think about getting the massage and then going to the infirmery, but I could tell from the look on my massage theripists face as she looked at my little toe in horror that it wouldnt be a good idea... lol

So along with feening for smokes... I feen for a hot stone massage sans the broken toe! LOL

Thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes and prayers for the family.
I do appreciate them all.

i still want to know who will have time for the spa on the Member Cruise. In '03 when we went, We were lucky to find the time to sleep!!!!!

:jumping2:

I did the spa on Key West day, but we weren't getting into KW until noon. So, I did my appt at 8am. But, that might not work for a later-riser.

Okay, I still can't figure out what SOP means. Could someone fill me in please?

I can't wait till Dec. 3 to try getting a ressie for SSMC06. This will be our first Disney cruise.
