Welcome Elaine! So glad you are joining us! Tell us more about yourselves.Mickey&JoshNut said:I have to start by saying that I took my Mom on the 4 day Disney Wonder cruise at the end of November 2004 and we absolutely loved every minute of it so I went on the Disney Cruise Line site to start getting quotes for another cruise in May 2006. While on the site, I was having a hard time deciding between the Eastern & Western cruises and then I thought how cool would it be to book back to back eastern & western caribbean cruises. I called the Castaway Club number and spoke to a wonderful CM who answered all my questions about the back to back and then she inquired if I'd be interested in doing the 14 repositioning cruise through the Panama Canal this May 14-28. I advised that would be a trip of a lifetime but heard it was sold out. She said that she thought there were a few cabins still available and she checked and sure enough there was a category 9 stateroom available and I took the plunge and booked it. I am so excited...I still can't believe that we are actually going on this cruise...I called Disney again this morning just to confirm our reservation!!!!
Thanks to everyone who redirected me to this thread. Now to go back and read all 177 pages!!!!!

Hey Kim - we are coming in on 5/12, but haven't booked a place to stay yet. The Hyatt is pretty expensive compared to other area hotels, and many of them have free shuttles. Have you considered looking at those? For instance, we stayed at the Renaissance in December (it's part of the Marriott chain), it was really a nice place, and we only paid $87 for the night. Then our towncar just picked us up there. Or if you're taking the Disney buses, have their free shuttle take you back over to the airport. It's only about a 5 minute ride. Just a thought. Marriott has about four or five hotels just off the airport between all of their different brand names.bettemom said:Thanks Ken, I have the e-mail..
Bye, Kim
P.S. We are arriving on 5/13 and are staying at the Hyatt with other friends from MA, anyone else planning on staying at the Hyatt Friday night ??
Sent it out just now. Ignore my earlier PM back to you.Pappy said:i have pm you can you supply the excursions list to us at Neil.Papworth@homecall.co.uk.. thanks....![]()
Welcome DVC Minnie! I got your PM and will email that out to you. Glad you're coming with us! We are also WDW addicts, problem is we're all the way out here in CA, so it doesn't happen for us as often, but we still go there a lot more often than to DL.DVC Minnie said:I just can't lurk anymore!
DH and I are on this cruise too. Booked into a Catagory 7 with late seating. Staying at the Port the night before and one night at the Grand Californian after the cruise (using DVC points). We haven't been the Disneyland in 27 years but visit WDW a lot (I think its an addiction.....DH finds that when he is too stressed at work he needs a pixie dust fix so off we go.).
Kara I will pm you with our e-mail address for the excursion list. Thank you.
Looking forward to joining the group.

Jen- A couple of ideas from the 10-day that were a lot of fun. First, we did a Tag game with a magnetic door sign in the shape of a Mickey head. Those who wanted to participate gave their cabin #'s. On the back of the Mickey were the cabin numbers that were participating, and on the front, each cabin that got tagged would sign and note their cabin #, then pass it on to another participant. It was a lot of fun! Second idea was a DIS Navigator with screen names of everyone, like Jeff's list, and included people's real names, cabin #'s if you wanted to provide, and a notation if they were participating in Tag. In addition, the navigator gave birthdays and anniversaries that were occurring while on the ship. Just a thought...I would be willing to help put a navigator together with Jeff's help, since he already has so much of the information.JenKatt said:To everybody new, Welcome! Hubby Jeff is the keeper of the list for this cruise, so please email him who is cruising with you, ages, location and stateroom number is known. Actually for the moment email me since our server blew up and tiggerfan.net is in hiatus for the moment. You can email me at jenkatt@gmail.com....
Quick question for everyone, are we going to do a themed sail away party? If so we'll need to put orders in to Oriental Trading soon. If anyone wants to send the stuff to my house feel free, I can send you our address. We can give you the stuff the night before the cruise or at the port. Also, we should probably be thinking about sailaway gifts for folks and events on board. We've got a movie night, drunken twister, a book exchange, game night, what else? We could do another wine tasting in someone's room as well I guess.....
Let me know, email me your stuff and as soon as tiggerfan.net is back up we'll post...
(Jeff will be happy, he won't have to change the door magnet sign again!)

Thanks!
