So, just imagine that you are a regular person waiting to board this cruise. You see two families in front of you greet each other like long lost friends, with hugs all around. Much excited chatter ensues. Next thing you know, the same thing is happening right behind you. You think, "oh #$*&! I must be on a convention cruise!" You spend the rest of your cruise trying to avoid "that big, noisy group" but they're everywhere! They make more noise at dinner than all the rest of the tables combined, their kids travel in packs (which makes you nervous), and when you try to find a spot for a quiet drink, there they are! At night, in the clubs, they are always the ones involved in the skits, which causes great pandemonium amongst their friends.

There's only one solution for this. When you get home, you'll just write a long, angry post on the DIS boards, asking who you should send your complaint to.

Diana..

your post reminds me of this summer at WDW. There were tour groups everywhere carrying large signs dressed in yellow shirts, blue shirts, ect, ect. You just couldn't avoid them and they walked in packs, ten across so if you got caugt behind them them required great effort just to make it through the sea of yellow. After the second day DD & I made a game out of trying to avoid the "shirts". Quick, quick Julia. The shirts are coming this way, get on space mountain. I guess we're the "shirts" on this trip.

Really good idea --- so how many DIS'ers will be at the "front" of the line!!!

AFFF -- DH will also be dropping our car at Budget --- you might get the same shuttle back!

Also have DH dropping me off at the port then dropping the rental off at Budget.

Some one mentioned having to take a taxi back. Am I remembering correctly, does Budget have a shuttle back???

Does Bear know what the tip amounts are for a 10-day cruise? I like to have them in envelopes before the cruise so I have the $$ left to pay them :earsgirl:

You could use the handy tip calculator found in the last newsletter :D

I will say that we tip more than the reccomended amount and always put in a phone card as well. Do we tip for 3? um, no :D

That is a great time for me. How does everyone feel about 7:30 for a walk meet?

7:30 sounds great. A bunch of us nieghborhood ladies walk at 5:30am every other day so 7:30 is actually sleeping in for me. I love getting up that early to walk, even on vacation. I can sleep when I get home.

Morning all. I'm from the 70's, just like Stacey! No wonder we get along so well!!!!

You're a child of the '70s
Far out! Break out your pet rock, platforms, and mood ring. Like the '70s, you're a free spirit who's got your own fun and funky way of doing things. It's that fun-filled attitude that's reminiscent of the finer points of the '70s – things like disco, muscle cars, macho men, and leisure suits. Whether or not you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, you do know how to boogie down and have a good time. Your upbeat energy brightens up any room; let's just hope the beaded curtains and ultrasuede have been updated. Dy-no-mite!

That's why I'm into DISCO NIGHT!!!!!

Does that mean I need to go buy beaded curtains now and have them as the "entrance" to my stateroom?

Linda

Busy group this morning!!!!

AND A TOP!!!!!!

Here's what the DCL terminal looked like one week ago (yesterday), that would be Wed. November 10, 2004. Looks like they should be done with the new drop off spot in time for our cruise!!

HA HA HA HA HA! Their loss. We'll have spent our vacation having the time of their lives....they will have spent their vacation ticked off about us.

It's sort of like the ppl who don't dress according to the "code" for dinners. I refuse to let it ruin MY vacation. I didn't pay big money to sit and grumble! :)

Just a thought if there is interest in all of us staying on the same channel.
How about Channel 12 and sub Channel 18.
Easy to remember, it matches the cruise date.

That is REALLY a cool idea.

Mary, can that be printed in the Navigator?
I'm not sure we're taking radios with us, but if so, I'll want to be connected. :)

LOTS! I have a feeling that MOST of the cruisers this time will be repeaters and they will know to get there early. I suspect the only ones we will "beat" are those taking DCL transport.

No problem at all. Once we agree on a time (7:30) and a place. I will be happy to put it in the mini navigator.

Here's the plan for the mini-navigator. Thanks to REAS Mark and I don't have to do the Ressie shuffle. So I will have the mini navs put in envelopes that will have your DIS name and room number on it. We will do a walk of the ship and leave it on your message fish

Wow, Mary. That looks great.

Thanks

Oh, yeah, I was just kiddin' ya! We usually tip more than recommended too, but never an extra person's worth!

Oh, and what the port looks like when the ship is not at home
:(

Is this where luggage gets dropped off too? Or is this just a people drop off?

Budget used to have a shuttle and that's what I'm planning DH to take back. I see if I can find out it they still do.

Also, who was it that was ordering the priate pins? I would like 4 for our group.

PIRATE NIGHT DECK PARTY.............

The Goofy pool gets covered up and turned into a dance floor. There's loud (really loud) music playing, and Minnie, Chip & Dale and Goofy lead the dancing. Hook, Smee and his crew take over the proceedings. One of his crew rappels down the stack onto the stage. Eventually Mickey saves the day. All of the characters are dressed as sailors.

It really was fun. They had a Capt. Jack Sparrow impersonator wandering the dance floor, which was cool. There's food all over the place, too.

If you're dressed as a pirate you'll get a lot of extra attention, so bear that in mind.

Everyone getting their pirate costumes together?

From the looks of it to us, it looks like the porters will be out at this curb and take the luggage right there.

I'll post a question on the 11/20 thread and ask them to tell me that answer, I already have them checking to tell me if construction is completed or not in time for their Thanksgiving cruise.
