Wel - another fun night in the ER... Only 12 out front waiting - and no beds in the back.... A sick 6 yr old that we had to intubate and transfer to a Peds ICU... and an allergic reaction.... Guess it makes up for last night......

Morning all. I deliberatly haven't read that post about flying. I do have to travel for work, and I just firmly believe that if something's going to happen, it will happen, and there's no point worrying about it. You will NEVER hear me complaining about airport security though! Since all my flights are out of the 3 Washington area airports, it's pretty strict, and I follow it to a t!

Tina, I think we'll probably be over at Tyson's around noon. No major plans for the evening, so we might do a bit of shopping. I'm thinking that DD's probably not going to fit into the clothes I have for formal night, so I'd like to look for something else for her. Boy, she didn't grow for about 3 years, and now she's just flying through the sizes!!! Those hormones are just crazy things! Just give me a buzz on my cell phone if you think we could work out something. If not, it's no biggie!

DS and the babysitter really enjoyed the Air and Space Museum yesterday. He came home very excited because now he understands how you fly. He was telling me all about lift and thrust (now remember, my job is making military aircraft!). He had it a little bit backwards, but it really did make an impression on him.

Anyone going to be in chat tonight? I'm not sure if we're doing the concert, so I might be a bit late, but I should be there. Come on out and play!

I heard a comedian once say something about this....the basic jist was, if you're on a plane and your number is up, there's nothing you can do to stop it.....but what if you're on a plane and it's the PILOT'S number that is up?!?!?

Of course, this was before the terrorist threats and more just talking about plane crashes.

I skimmed through that article and it was frightening.

I'm glad I read that article though. Makes me feel like there's something I can watch for, and maybe be proactive about (not get on the flight), rather than just be a victim. Of course, if I didn't notice the strange behavior until the plane had taken off, I would just have a really miserable flight after that. Not much you can do at that point, besides ask "are there any Marshalls on this flight?"

Well, have a good weekend everyone! Gail, hope you have an enjoyable visit. It will be quiet without Stacey.

Hope that everyone had a nice Friday - I got up early and went to see I Robot. I really liked it. I like Will Smith - and Isaac Asimov's books are some of my favorites.... Even if you don't like sci-fi it's mainly a detective thriller - with some great special effects....

I'll also be out of touch until Sunday - DW has a 25 yr HS class reunion - since I tortured here last year with mine - I guess I'll go too... It's funny - some of the young medical assistants couldn't believe she was THAT old...

Tried to post this afternoon, but my computer froze up and I lost the post. Trying again.

Going to miss Stacey's "Good morning" greetings. Know you've already left, but hope you have a great time, Stace!

Lisa - How was Tysons Corner? It's been ages since I've been over that way. Do you ever get up to Anne Arundel Mills Mall? That's our favorite for movies (Muvico) - not close to us, really - but a good place. Can be really insanely busy on weekends, though......hard to find parking.

The Mickey luggage I ordered the boys (on sale - gotta love it) from Disney came the other day! They were both ready to leave right then and there. It should work great for the cruise. Can't believe how fast the weeks are going by now.......we'll be getting on that ship before we know it!

Hi all. I had a nice chat tonight. Gail was there, and Mary and I got to say hi, before my dial in line went freaky. By the time I got back on she was off.

Happy Birthday Gail!! If I'd checked the meet thread before chat, I would have said it then!

Charlotte, Tyson's was okay when I went with my Mom just before the 4th. I'm going back tomorrow am because DD asked for Rainforest cafe. I've never been to Arundel Mills. If I go up that way, it's usually to Macaroni's which is outside the Annapolis Mall.
