Good Sunday Morning Cruisers

Mary You always come up with a way to keep us going!!

Something new to do on this cruise. I think we also will try to attend more of the late night events. We usually stay in our room after late dinner because we tend to get up at 5-6am. Goal this trip is to stay up late and sleep in. Another "NEW" on this trip is seperate room for DD & DS. Could be a BIG mistake but couldn't imagine sharing a room with them for 10 days, and there were no suites available (didn't want to risk wait list).

David - nice job of doing the sign-off and good morning. Stacey will be so proud!

LeiLani- how is your mom doing. I've been thinking about you guys. Hope all is well and if you want those cards to start coming just let us know!

Now to answer my own question - what are we going to try and do differently. The Rainforest Room. In 5 cruises we've never done it! I've done a few spa treatments - I love the Alpha Capsule - but never the Rainforest room. Last cruise we looked at it on the first day, fell in love with it and were going to buy the week long pass but all the clerks at the desk were busy and we knew we could sign up for it any time. Never made it back. This cruise - even if for one day - we'll be using the Rainforest room.

I like you idea also Mary, I have never done the rainforest room either and have always thought it sounded relaxing. Hope to see you there.

BTW this is post 100 as Cruisin'goose, on this thread. I had many as wdwgoose before that was officially taken over by DH.

I'd like to try the Rainforest room too. I'd love to get my mom in there with her achey muscles and bones, but she'll tell me "I don't like the heat"

but the heat feels GOOOOOOOD!!!!

I'd also like to spend some time in the adult pool area. In 4 cruises (most where the kids spent 99.9% of the time in the clubs) we never did anything more than walk by it.

I'd also like to try to actually stay awake in one of those steamer chairs on deck 4. Seems like I sit in them and am immediately out. Then dh uses that opportunity to get a picture of me, mouth open, drooling, to tortue me with when we get home! But I'd really love to sit in one and watch the ocean go by!

As for the rainforest room - check it out on the first day. You don't need to take a tour - they'll let you walk through. The tile loungers felt really nice. Karen I bet your mom would find them very soothing to her aches and pains.

As for the adult pool. I love sitting on the ledge where the water splashes up. Very, very nice!

I could say I'd like to stay up later but since we really aren't night people don't know how successful I'll be. It took to cruise #5 to make the nighttime deck party

Mary, do you (or anyone else for that matter) know...

If we try out the rainforest room one day --a one day pass-- and we love it, can we use the cost of that one day pass towards a length of stay pass? For example, if we go to the zoo we see a sign that says "Join today and apply the cost of today's admission to your membership."

I'm thinking maybe I could get my mom to try it out that way. She's had such trouble with her back and muscles lately, *I* think she'd love it, but I know she'd resist. Besides, I'm not spa saavy, so I wouldn't know what to tell her....do you wear your bathing suit? Take a change of clothes? Isn't there some sort of aroma therapy shower there? Do you take anything for that??

Karen - don't know a definitive answer for that but I would guess you could. I do know that if you are already having a spa treatment you can get the rainforest room that day for only $8. You may want to post that question on the general cruise board - lots of spa vets there.

The rainforest room is co-ed so swimsuits are usually the rule.

I think going to some of the late night events will be our goal this time too. We only made one last time, when we won "Match Your Mate". I want to go to the 70s, 80s parties, or whatever they are. DH hurt his back last time and he was out early. Or maybe it was just an excuse, since he's always out early. I guess his plan for something different would be not to hurt his back this time.

I would call the top on page 500, but I'm not around consistently, and I wouldn't want you guys to wait for me. Who wants it? What is it, 10 posts per page?

Pretty quiet here today. I'm off to go do some yard work before it decides it's going to rain.
At lunch we were looking over the Antigua excursions. We now have them narrowed down to 5!!!

Well, I'm checking in occasionally. Between taking pics for Ebay and fighting with my cat, who's trying to "help".

I've been checking in too. Dh and kids are at Kings Island all day so I've rotated cross stitching, housework and checking the computer.....heavy on the cross stitching. Amazing how quiet a house CAN be!! No idea when they are coming home. KT has acting classes for the next two weeks (we'll have to leave here at 8:15 every day), so hopefully they pull in at a decent hour or she'll be a bear to wake up and get moving tomorrow!
