We have friends who are first time DCL cruisers who have a 2:15pm port check in time on the Fantasy. We have been helping them with planning but we normally board much earlier so I don't know the answers to the following:
- will lunch still be served at Cabanas when they board?
- is the in person muster drill around 4pm? When we last sailed in July they had stopped the in person drill. Am wondering how much time they will have between boarding and that.

If it's possible for them to arrive earlier, open boarding is generally called (any boarding number may board) by 12:30-1:00.

They should definitely plan to arrive earlier than 2:15pm. 11am would be way too early for them, but I agree that if they were to show up around 12-12:30 they would have a good chance of being able to board well before 2:15pm.

I thought that time seemed late. So if their checkin says 2:15, they can still get into the terminal earlier (not at 11 for example but more towards 12?)

Is Fantasy still out of P.C . When we got on the Wish in Sept. we had to cue outside and our pat was 1:30

We were late missed our cue so were put in with the 2:00 people. Not sure if they are still doing this . We were allowed to go straight on the boat when after checking in. So not sure showing up early is a good idea. Maybe in the old days…lol

Cabanas was still open . Muster station was 4:00 on our last trip It was in person On the Magic last month.

Technically, they can't enter the terminal until their selected Port Arrival Time. However, once open boarding has been announced, they pretty much let everyone in.

Not sure about the Fantasy, but lunch was still available at Marcelline Market until 3:15 pm. We were sailing with friends who had a PAT of 11:15 and we had one at 12:45 but there was a note on the site that said if you were travelling (with connected reservations) others who had an earlier time, they might be able to accommodate allowing you on at the same time. So we showed up around 11:30. We had seen recently that they had signage outside the terminal building that you were supposed to line up at a sign that had your PAT so we asked about putting us together and they said that they were allowing everyone into the terminal regardless of PAT. Inside they split up into first time cruisers, gold/silver and platinum lines. We then asked about getting the same boarding time and they allowed that. We had a boarding number of 5. They started boarding at 11:45 with the family of the day and then every 5 minutes they added another boarding number and we boarded at 12:05. I don't know when they called open boarding - probably later than 12:30 but I wouldn't think too much later. Certainly well before 2:15.
