***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

It would be cool but so many of the restaurants are already pretty booked. Not sure how that would work. We currently have a Tusker Dinner but I'd hate to give it up to snag a RoL package if they go that route.
We'd be in the same boat! And I agree, likely nothing left!

I have a feeling I'm going to go overboard with food for my little one since I'm concerned he won't eat! :faint:

Yup. We are ordering from garden grocer. Same kind of stuff. Besides it's healthy options for us in the park to offset the greasy food.

I hope people don't start punking out on the star wars fireworks now lol!

Im all in for sw fireworks no worries.
I was thinking of getting a case of bottled water but I'm wondering if it is even worth it. our flight lands at 5pm and I have 6:45 at Sanaa. I could make it later but I am going to just assume that everything will go smoothly and if not, I can deal with it at the front desk and we will be able to walk up to Sanaa later. Worst case I lose $20 but I think if you are staying at a resort and eating at the resort and your plane is delayed they might be understanding. who knows. But I did not leave time for a grocery stop. A 24 pack of 16.9oz bottles weighs 29 lbs. 24 pack of 20oz weighs 31 lbs (thank you google). Maybe I will just squirrel 14 bottles of water (one per day for each of us) into my 3 suitcases.

Last time at disney i stopped in the little shop and I bought eggos for the kid. He didn't end up eating a single one. We did room service a couple of days and the rest of the time we had breakfast out. I will probably end up buying water in the parks as taking the time to stop at a CS and stand on line for a free cup of ice water that I then have to pour into my filtered water bottle that I need to carry around sounds appealing. We can get a bit of a head start with frozen water bottles in the backpack but then will probably buy as we drink them. Last time we bought 1 at a time and shared it (and finished it). Also the water filter bottles are not inexpensive either, they are around $30 for a good one so that is like 12 bottles of water right there. the savings might not be enough for me to worry about it.

what is everyone's thoughts on water?
Buying from garden grocer

my kid was MAJORLY into it. which means i have seen it like 100 times. i can say there are far worse things to see so many times. Baymax is adorable. I think it's worth a view personally
I've never heard anything bad about it, just haven't gotten around to watching it. I'll try to watch it before our trip.
Last night I begged DH to watch Beauty and the Beast with me, and he looked at me like I had 3 heads!! :p

I got to spend my 30th birthday at Disney in June, and let me tell you, I HARDCORE fangirled over some Baymax. I gave him a big squishy hug and asked for a fistbump just like all the kids in line.

I'm glad @Tattylou mentioned the Minnie's Beach Bash breakfast. I booked a Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast for our last day because I found one for 6 people at a good time (still looking for that 'Ohana though, LOL!). Have any of you ever done the Minnie's Beach Bash breakfast? It seems cute enough but wondering how it compares to the other ones that are not in a resort? We won't be in a park since it's our last day. I'm trying to avoid Chef Mickey since we will already have eaten there. 'Ohana was my number one pick, but the Minnie Beach Bash does look kind of cute and the buffet spread looks pretty decent. Not sure about 1900 Park Fare (it's not available anyway) but we would have had lunch at Crystal Palace the day before and the breakfast characters there would be Pooh again.

We haven't done Minnie's before. It was the only character breakfast I could get that worked with our schedule. My 6 yr old DS is a huge fan of Mickey and the classic disney characters so I have to do a meal with Mickey for him.

My kids and I watched Beauty and the Beast this summer. It's because of that movie that I spent 500 hours trying to book a BOG dinner ADR. (okay, that might be a SLIGHT exaggeration, but I'm just sayin') We LOVE that movie!! :-)

I spent a ton of time too trying to book my BOG dinner. I remember being SOOOO happy when after incessant stalking I scored one at 9:30pm. It wasn't ideal but I felt so proud of succeeding. I then kept trying and trying and trying until I scored my earlier one about a week later. It's the ADR I think I am so proud of because of all the effort that went into it.

I can't wait to see the castle. I got my daughter Belle's dress for her bday so she can wear it to dinner and a picture with the beast :-)

FIRST I had a BOG lunch. THEN I learned the Beast is only there at dinner. THEN I got a dinner reservation at 7:30ish but didn't realize it was a party night. THEN I got a non-party night dinner reservation for 9:35 p.m. FINALLY I got a 4:55 BOG dinner! It really may have been 500 hours! :lmao:

That is going to be an extra special picture! So exciting!! :)

PS: Congrats on finally getting that BOG @SilSprBea! The things we do for our kids, right? :)

I can see a lot of restaurants open late 10pm?11pm maybe? As for shops, I'm not sure. I saw someone say on another thread that there is a lot of entertainment at night (which is why I wanted to check it out, along with xmas decorations lit up) but was hoping for someone with first hand experience :)

We had a wonderful time spending a full evening in Disney Springs (Downtown Disney then) in 2013. I know you're aware there have been many changes recently! We did go to Cirque du Soleil, followed by dinner somewhere that appears to no longer be there? It was chain-like; not RF cafe but similar, and I can't remember the name. It was close to the Cirque venue. We got hot chocolate at Ghiradelli, a few treats at Goofy's Candy Shop, did some shopping at the World of Disney Store (t-shirts and ornaments--GREAT place to shop BTW), had a blast in the Lego Store, and really just enjoyed walking around. I do remember it being very festive, nicely decorated with Christmas music playing. We were able to take a boat back to POR. Really enjoyable evening. We'll do a repeat of that this trip and I'm really looking forward to it. :-) I am very interested to learn more about the performers that are there as I don't recall seeing anything like that when we were there? Perhaps our timing was just off for the performances.

I've had a great time in the past at Disney Springs. We plan on spending a full evening there, taking the boat from POR over and back and having dinner. We were thinking of using one of our quick service credits at the Wolfgang Puck Express. I want my kids to walk around and see the awesome lego sculptures. It'll be our last night so I figure it'll be a good place for the kids to pick out maybe one last souvenir. We'd originally planned on spending two nights there, but I've scheduled our other night, LOL. Definitely keeping one free for Disney Springs :-)
