planet hollywood?

Oh that might be it!! I remember we had to walk up a BUNCH of stairs to get to the restaurant, but there was a CM taking names/party sizes on the ground level. Would that fit Planet Hollywood? It was definitely a chain like that.

I've had a great time in the past at Disney Springs. We plan on spending a full evening there, taking the boat from POR over and back and having dinner. We were thinking of using one of our quick service credits at the Wolfgang Puck Express. I want my kids to walk around and see the awesome lego sculptures. It'll be our last night so I figure it'll be a good place for the kids to pick out maybe one last souvenir. We'd originally planned on spending two nights there, but I've scheduled our other night, LOL. Definitely keeping one free for Disney Springs :-)
We used our counter service credits at Wolfgang Puck Express this past June and I discovered the most delicious dessert ever. Their cheesecake is really good.

By the way, I would never have gotten dessert at lunch time if we didn't have free dining and if I didn't want to get full value from my dining credits. (This is why DH won't let me anywhere near the dining plan again. I obsess over getting full value from it. ;) ) Anyway, I'm hoping we can get back there again.

If you haven't been to Disney Springs since the Grand Re-Opening, you are in for a pleasant surprise. The new bus depot is great. All the resort buses drop off in the front of the depot and then go on to their resort pickup locations. And they fixed the road to DS so it is a quick bus ride. We took the DS bus from WL and even with a pick up at CR I think it took us less than 20 minutes to get there. :)

Yes! Planet Hollywood! Shaped like a giant Earth. We used to have to eat there every trip per DH's request. Last time it was just so-so though. We like the movie memorabilia, and the Captain Crunch chicken fingers *drool*

Wolfgang Puck Express is one of our favorites! It was where we had our very first meal at Disney, on our very first trip. We make sure to go there and Earl of Sandwich every time we go!

Many thanks to @Lisa F and @areno79 for filling in the Planet Hollywood blank for me. That was driving me batty not remembering! o_O We don't have them around us and we all highly enjoyed it. Both Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich are on our DS list! :-) I thoroughly enjoyed Downtown Disney and can't wait to explore the new Disney Springs!! :thumbsup2

Mmm, I love me some butternut squash soup. I'm not sure if it's still on the menu, but every time I've been I've gotten the Chinois Chicken Salad.

We'll be checking out Wolfgang Puck for the crème brulee!

I hear Dluxe Burger is really good!

There are so many wonderful new dinning options in DS... makes me think Disney is shortening park hours to get more people to DS.

We watched Lelo and Stich this past weekend... Beauty and the Beast was on very heavy rotation for several years.

I was told once that gratuity is expected at WPE, is that correct?
I think it is correct. When we were there in June they had servers who brought your food to your table, checked on you frequently, refilled your drinks, took away the dirty plates, etc. It was just like having a table service waiter or waitress. We left them a tip since they truly waited on us.

I wish we were going to disney springs but no time in the schedule. On the flip side, I am really happy with the flow of my schedule and can't wait to start planning adrs.

And I think I finally get SDFP after re reading thread. But am confused it I was going to use my mvmcp ticket for it. I think I'll stick to my friend's borrowed cards it seems easier (maybe).
