As a part of our normal course of business, we regularly evaluate feedback from our Guests and adjust our offerings accordingly. As a result, we have made the decision to adjust to a 180-day booking window for dining, recreation and tour offerings (+10 days for Resort Guests). At the same time, the Theme Park Operating Calendar will be published to Guests 180 days out as well.
This adjusted booking window will go into effect, Tuesday, October 27, 2009.
This change will not impact existing dining, recreation and tour reservations. These reservations will be honored as booked.
We feel this will offer Guests a better service in order to coordinate and plan their vacations.

Yes, park hours will also reflect a 180-day window for Guests on our Disney.com

Q3. How will Guests who have a current reservation be notified that they can now
book 180 days out?
Guests who have already booked future resort reservations for arrivals after January
25, 2010, will be notified via phone or email of the upcoming policy change for
booking 180 days in advance (+10 days for Resort Guests).
Q4. Will this 180-day booking window also apply to Resort room reservations?
No, reservations for Walt Disney World® Resort hotels may be secured up to 500 days
in advance.
Q5. Will this 180-day booking window apply to bookings made online for both Guest
and Cast reservations?
Yes, it will apply to all our Walt Disney World® Resort booking venues.

Walt Disney World® Resort Guests are able to book 180 days out from their arrival
date and up to an additional 10 days of their stay. This allows Resort Guests to

have to call back every day after the initial booking.

I will be thrilled if this is true. I loved the 180 day booking. As to CRT, we went in 2007, we were allowed to book 180 days out.

I've updated my ADR calculator to handle the 180 days and the change date - if anyone wants to test it and make sure I've got all the finer issues about the change handled, feel free:

As for CRT, I presume that all rules will remain the same - Yes, you can book 180 days out, and yes, you can book under 180+10 for the limited number of tables they make available at that time, and 180 days for the rest.

I like the ADR calculator you have put together, but I think there maybe a problem with it still. Our vacation this year will be on December 2nd, 2009 which I previously figured out that we can start booking on September 3rd, 2009. Your ADR Calculator shows the following:


Your reservation date is: December 2, 2009.


Your first day to call for standard 180 day ADRs is: October 27, 2009.


Since you are staying on site, you can call on this date to book dining reservations through the end of your stay up to 10 days (the "180+10" benefit) through December 11, 2009. However, not all tables are released prior to 180 days of the date in question, to allow offsite guests a chance. So if you cannot get all of your reservations at this time, try again when 180 days from the specific date you wish to dine. Those dates are:

Call October 27, 2009 for reservations on December 2, 2009
Call October 27, 2009 for reservations on December 3, 2009
Call October 27, 2009 for reservations on December 4, 2009
Call October 27, 2009 for reservations on December 5, 2009
Call October 27, 2009 for reservations on December 6, 2009
Call October 27, 2009 for reservations on December 7, 2009

Park calendar's to 6 months - and the uber-planners rejoice! Including me, though It's too late for this next trip - I am all planned and patiently waiting for my October 2010 trip - gotta have those bookings ready for April!

(And some people complain that the uber-planners now snatch up all the reservations...and Disney won't let them be "spontaneous".)

I think it is great that they are changing it from 90 to 180...hopefully people will now be able to get reservations without waking up at 6am ninety days out from thier vacation...

Candlelight bookings start 29 August if anyone is looking for that or 19 Aug for the +10

I disagree... Restaurants have been so crowded and a LOT of people frustrated during Free Dining that they have gotten a ton of complaints. And the Park hours was just ridiculous, especially since they are jerking us around on Fantasmic. I have a friend who is a waiter at HOB, and who knows waiters at several WDW restaurants. HOB has been dead, but his friends at WDW are reporting huge waits at most of their restaurants. 180 allows those who plan to actually get their ADRs in.
